When using the desktop application and attempting to transfer a call but the recipient isn't available to take the call - we have not found a way to keep the call live without it hanging up on all parties. Ex: I receive the call and attempt to transfer to Joe. Joe doesn't answer, or doesn't want to take the call. When I switch back to the caller, if Joe hangs up, it disconnects the call for everyone. If I click the small hang-up button next to Joe, it disconnects the call for everyone. If Joe's voicemail picks up while I've taken the call back, it disconnects the call for everyone. What are we missing on how to take that call back without it disconnecting??

Is there a methods to automatically remove card data from recorded phone calls for PCI compliance?

So, one of our users has been getting the error consistently when trying to attach files in Ring Central Message. The file name turns red, and the file won't send. But the files do exist. The permissions on the folders are normal, and I've even tried to deleting the user's profile on the computer and having them remake it in order to rule out a user account issue, still nothing. It will not work from other ring central accounts on her user profile, but it will work on ring central accounts on other user profiles on the same computer. I have no idea what's happening, I'm at a loss here. Does anyone know what could be going on?

We are having issues with a ring group (not call queue) and want to watch calls hit the ring group and see what extensions are ringing. I am only finding that I can report the call after the fact using the call log. In this case I want to see the actual extensions ringing. This is a remote location and they use deskphones and am being told they aren't ringing so troubleshooting is a bit difficult.Any information would be appreciated.

Working with voicemail messages in the sandbox account. I can see the two voicemails I left. I realized for the first one I didn't have transcription turned on for the account. Im looking to find out a few things, ill list them below. 1. Can a specific group in our org be set to record? (ex. our CSR group for taking payment information) 2. Does the "record" function need to be on all the time or can it be turned off and on by the user when need be? 3. is it a cost per minute that's recorded or by data size? 4. How long is that data (conversation) retained for? 5. Can we log our texts and import that into salesforce? Thank you!

The Outlook plug-in is not allowing me to type an Outlook contact name that brings up a phone number. When I type a phone number, it doesn't link to its Outlook contact. When I go into the Outlook contact, it doesn't give me any option to use SMS or call using RingCentral. I am able to call out and receive calls and texts.

I created a new user, added a mobile phone number and checked "Publish in Company Directory" but the phone number is showing in the app. I have over 100 users that this works for but I can't figure out why this new user is only showing the extension in the company directory and not their mobile number. I have checked and unchecked the box a few time but it still doesn't work. I have compared this users profile with other who do show their mobile number in the directory and everything is setup the same. I think there is something wrong on Ring centrals end. How do I get this resolved?

Hello-I set up a shared line for one of my users, who will be working from home occasionally as well as in the clinic. Goal is for her to have the same experience in either location.Now that I have her set up as a shared line, all her park locations disappeared off her hard phone, and I cannot add her extension as a member of the existing park locations.Is this a supported function within RingCentral?

Starting last week (around 7/5/23), I started receiving complaints that HUD status's are incorrect. It will show someone as in a call but then their status changes to "offline" when the call disconnects instead of "available".I've also received complaints that HUD contacts were wiped out and had to be re-added.I submitted a ticket but I'm curious if this was widespread or just our organization.

Has anyone generated a report that shows the service level based on SLA for individual agents?

On a few of our user's computers, we've had the Ring Central desktop app showing a box that looks like and ad, with a button that says "Confirm Changes". Closing the app and reopening will not fix it, you have to close it, terminate all of the Ring Central background processes in task manager, and then reopen. This fixes the issue, but since we've had the report from a few different users now, I worry that one of them is eventually going to hit the button (no idea what it does). Has anyone else seen this?

Does anyone know if RC will have a Voice Prompted IVR anytime soon?

I set up a new RingCentral account for a client, and purchased a Poly VVX 250 hardphone directly from RC. We currently have only one extension, which has been assigned to the VVX 250. It is using the power supply shipped with the phone, and is NOT using POE power.Everything except outgoing calls from the Poly phone seem to work fine, includiing FAXes in both directions, incoming voice calls to the Poly phone and unanswered calls that go to voicemail.Outgoing calls from the Poly phone fail about 80-90% of the time, receiving an immediate intercept message, indicating that the call can not be completed. A few outgoing calls DO complete, but it's not predictable. Even repeated calls to the same number will fail multiple times, then will complete on the 4th, 5th or 6th try. Doesn't matter what number or area code you dial. Doesn't matter whether you dial a "1" first, or not.RC's Q-O-S statistics are consistently good, in the 95% range. T

Is there a way to have Glip pull in data from other sources using the /? For example, in Slack, you can /zcrm; from there you can pull in account or contact data. You can pull in data from other services, like Google. Seems like it should be an available feature already built into Glip, as Slack and other similar products have it. Am I missing something?

The green highlighted time that is actual talk time (and hold time) amounts to 2 minutes, but the total handle time is 39 minutes, as it is including live talk after external transfer.Also here, since that seems small: https://i.imgur.com/oqlxHfq.pngIs this a bug that can be corrected? There should be a feature under Analytics, that allows the creator who manages the reports, to be able to share those reports to other users as well.

I am using the Poly Voyager 6200 UC, when the phone rings it rings on my phone and desktop apps at the same time. When I am a backup to the receptionist and a phone comes through, when I answer using my headset it goes to my mobile app and the pop out dialpad disappears on the desktop app. When a call comes straight to my extension or is transferred to me, when I answer from my headset the pop out dialpad on the desktop app stays there. I need the pop out dialpad on the desktop to be there so I can transfer calls. How do I stop it from going away?

In the Admin Portal the Auto Receptionist is setup to send calls to a Call Queue. At times we want to forward all company calls to an external number but when enabling Forward all company calls there is not an option to forward to an external number. How can you Forward all company calls under the Auto Receptionist to an external number?

We have discovered that you can dial anyone's extension in the Ring Central System from an IVR Menu Announcement. Is there a way that this feature can be disabled in the Ring Central Admin Portal? We have told our staff that the dial by extension feature was not available in Ring Central and now we have discovered that this is not the case. You can dial anyone's extension including Message Only Extensions and Announcement Only Extensions from inside an IVR menu. We would like to disable this feature. Is there a way that the dial by extension feature in an IVR Menu can be disabled?

My TCR campaign has been approved, when I added two numbers, they have now been in provisioning for four days. The instructions say 10-15 minutes. I can not delete them or change them in any way. I have called SMS support and they have had a work order since yesterday morning with no follow-up. This process is pathetic and for new customers signing on, they need to be made aware their texting capabilities can be compromised for a month. Given that information before signing on, I doubt I would have chosen Office At Hand.
