Hello all, New to RingCentral Engage Voice (not Digital). Question - some of our agents are commenting that the system is hanging up on them while in the process of leaving their customers a voicemail on a manual outbound call. I know there are various timers associated with manual outbound calls, but cannot seem to find any information about what may be controlling the amount of time the agents have to leave voicemail messages.Any light that can be shed on this is much appreciated.Happy Holidays!Thank you!Selena

I'm having an issue with the red dot that indicates an unread message on the desktop app icon in the Windows task bar.The dot doesn't go away when I read all the unread messages, even if I click away after reading the last message. I have to close and re-open the RingCentral window every time I read a message in order for the red dot to clear. This does work every time - if I have no unread messages and the red dot is still there, it always clears when I close/reopen. It never clears on its own. My app is up to date... Anyone else having this issue? Thanks!

Anyone know how to extend the time to dial an outbound number? If not dialing a number fast, phone cuts us off. I have searched but no answers for my Cisco IP Phone SPA525G

We have a multi-site setup on our RingCentral account. I see that Shared Lines says the max number is 8. Is that 8 per site, or 8 per account? Thanks in advance

Hi guys, i need your help. I work as a receptionist and i have a problem with my rc app on my windows desktop. i kept on having missed calls that didn't even rang on my side. there was also no notification of a missed call. The only way that i knew that someone had tried to call me was when i click the call log and thats when i'll find out that i had missed calls. but i was online at that time. and these problem affects my evaluation at work. pls help thank you.

I am not referring to SMS messages but rather pre-schedule internal Ring Central messages to be posted in our company-wide chat. For example, we give shout-outs to our team members for work anniversaries etc. Or perhaps is there an Add On avail that links to RC? Thanks

I have an employee that is not checking their messages. Shows 140/204. I want to see what messages they have checked and haven't and review them. How do I do that? When I click the hyperlink, it asks for the extension password. I would think my admin password would work, but it does not.

Hi everyone, I'd appreciate some help. I have 3 shared lines in 1 group, with 3 desktop computers. When I try to add another desktop phone to access that shared line group with 3 lines, it won't allow me to add the phone because I don't have an available license. I don't want another new number, I just want to access the 3 shared lines in the shared group. Thank you

We want to build custom UI where we need to display list of messages (ConversationsPage) on the left side and right side display the conversation when user clicks on a message . By default currently when we click on a message in conversations panel, it displays the conversation as another page with back button.But we need to display both in the same page with two panels so that user doesn't need to do additional click for back button. For this we have added two divs in seaprate page and one div contains conversationspage and another div contains Conversationpage. But we need to pass "conversationid" parameter to the conversationPage. How can we get that value from the global state as I see we already have a reducer for the same. Thanks for the help.

We are a small company with very low turnover; so, I haven't had to do this since we got on the RC platform. I need to use an existing phone/number from a terminated employee for a new hire. I need instructions - Google search and RC University aren't giving me answers I can use.

I have trouble launching my RingCentral App this morning. It sets my status as offline and I got the following message: "You are running very low on disk space. "Is this an issue unique to me or is anyone else seeing this? Any advise on how to address the issue? Thanks!

Our company is looking for a cheat sheet (shorthand, play by play) for the softphone app (android/ios). Any search brings up how to install the app or pushes you off into some videos (that ALSO don't answer the questions). We need: - How to connect/disconnect your work number through your softphone app.- How to Warm/Cold transfer through the softphone app.- How to put a call into someone's voicemail through the softphone app.- Other softphone functions between different company users. Basic phone functions that should be available, but there are zero breakdowns on the site. We don't want a "University" Video, we want something people can print and run with. Anyone have anything like that?

How in the world do I set my main (ported in ) phone number to send/receive the texts from? I have gone through every menu and cannot seem to figure out how to set my main company number as the number for texting. I am a single user for now and the single number for call/text/fax was a major selling point for me. Help! Thanks!!

Not an API developerWe have a server based application , Fetchit from Schultz Technology, that integrates to Ring Central and provides screen pops with CID name and number.Since moving the site to a multi-site environment and adding a couple of new sites. The application pops call data from all sites, even thought the credentials used to authenticate are a super user limited to just to just the original site.Software provider says it is Ring Central’s responsibility to filter the traffic

I'm looking to use a PnP API connection tool such as Make/Zapier, etc to try and automate a daily call recording file transfer from our call logs, to a Sharepoint/Onedrive location in our O365 cloud.I can connect to my account, retrieve the call logs, but it seems there is a missing connector to "store" the file, as the token doesn't get shared from RingCentral, and I basically end up with a text file which contains: "errorCode" : "AGW-401", "message" : "Authorization header is not specified"Has anyone successfully created a process using a tool such as this, which would allow a scheduled dump of calls (based on the call log for the previous day - this part has been tested)I am using a re-branded version of RingCentral through Telus Business Connect and so far, the API calls don't seem to be any different, so I don't think that will have any effect on what I am trying to accomplish. If someone is a member of a call queue and they forward their line (not the call queue (mainline) number), does a call that comes to the call queue that they're a member of get forwarded to them as well? Thanks!

Our 4 ring central phone lines connect to 4 hardware phones. Can you use a desktop app with the same lines that are assigned to the hardware phones or do you have to buy additional lines?

how do I get an IVR Menu to be the company auto-receptionist default responder for all incoming calls

With our previous phone system, a caller would get our voicemail greeting; and for immediate help could hit something like "##" and be able to select another extension to be transferred to. For example, I call you and get your voicemail, but your voicemail greeting says, "For immediate help, press "WHAT GOES HERE" to select extension "XXXX" and "X" will be happy to help you. XXXX is another extension selected by caller. "X" is the person's name at that extension. How can this be done so we can add this to our voicemail greeting? ThanksTony

Is there a preferred flow for a server to server application acting on behalf of multiple users or a way to grant a token as an admin on an account?I want to create a subscription for events on multiple extensions but seems like I would need to auth and maintain a token for each user or have each user manually login and create their own token that I need to manage and store? Is there a smooth and preferred way that I can allow a single auth flow to give me access to multiple extensions and be able to act on those extensions via subscriptions and call control?
