Can someone at RingCentral please directly answer or give examples for how a business that is only using SMS for direct (non marketing) texting would submit a campaign application? How can we ask for opt-in from individuals who text us directly? How about vendors who use text for business purpose? A working example of the application process start to finish would be most helpful.To summarize, how does a business that is not using SMS for marketing, but rather just for direct one-on-one conversations, submit a campaign application? Would it ever make sense to have a temporary TCR campaign? Let's say for an event that ends on a specific date. Can campaigns have a limited 'life span'? And if so, what about any phone numbers that are assigned to those campaigns? Are the charges pro-rated based on the time, or volume, usage?Any guidance is appreciated in advance. We have a RingCentral Voice integration and did not receive the webhook for a user who made a call to a phone number and then conferenced a 3rd person on the call. Can we please get some help debugging this?We have raised multiple cases with RingCentral support and no one is responding.

Hi, I'm using the embeddable voice iframe in my website, when trying to make a call it says I dont have the permission to do calls via the browser, yet I can recieve calls. and another thing, I can't even call an external number I can do it only via the ringOut end point.My account id is +16503821005

Hi, so I'm integrating ringCentral in my website, and I'm using iframe tag to use the embeddable voice features. I can send vcard (vcf) files to android phones and they work perfectly. When I send to iphone users the file just appears as a text file. What I have tried:I created a vcard in outlook, saved it as a vcf and sent it to android and iphone. It worked on android but not on iphone.I forwarded a contact from my android phone to iphone and that worked fine - one click to add to contacts on iphone.I forwarded that vcf that worked on iphone over to my ringcentral phone. Downloaded the vcf and sent the same file back to the iphone and it broke again. This tells me something about how ringcentral is handling vcf makes iphone not like it - but android has this figured out. This feature is critical, prospects that save our contacts on their phone have a 30%+ higher buying tendency. It helps clear spam blockers for email when it is a recognized contact. It helps for picking up the phone when we call - spam blockers, etc etc. Hel

So, I made a mistake and when I created my first Message-Only Extensions, I did not use my main account password. Now I want to chang the password I did use to set up the MO Extension too my main account password, and I do not see a "Chagne Password" option on the messages....just Disable. Can someone help me?

Hello,I am trying to create an app that downloads our call logs and stores them in an interna database. Right now, I have a sandbox app that calls the Call Log API that has 3 dummy calls that I made myself. Our company has zaps from RingCentral to Google Drive for each of our users' extensions. Within the past few weeks several of our RingCentral accounts continue to expire in Zapier (see the screenshots). I've reconnected them, but within a week some have disconnected again. Zapier support said it was an issue on the RingCentral end.

We don't do large texts or use short code. Really there is no way for a mobile company to know we are a business, so why do we have to register? We have 1 line and 1 person using the system.

When we visit the TCR website the first registration option is to get setup with TCR as a CSP. This also requires that we pay a $200 registration fee. Neither registration as a CSP nor the required fee were specified in the RingCentral documentation for this process.We are a freight forwarding company...not a communications service provider. It seems to us that RingCentral should be registering our business and providing a portal for us to register any campaigns we wish to undertake.Would someone kindly shed a bit more light on this process and why RingCentral is passing the cost of registering RingCentral phone numbers to their customers?

I created a campaign for client prospects and job applicants (texts are just to confirm they received our emails) = BASIC. I think I need to create a second one for communicating with my employees (I have a virtual office so that is our primary communication tool) = COMPLEX. Is there another option?

I'm having trouble finding information about how to extend the limit of 49 lines on a single "campaign".Does anyone know of a work around for the extension limit or must I create multiple campaigns to cover all of my extensions?

Hi,It's been 5 days, SMS are not working and the automated message on chat support or call says about problem with RingCentral Outage and It will be resolved by Thursday which is passed away already. Also we can check the updates on the http://www.status.ringcentral.com/ and Fun part is that page is unreachable. How muhc longer it will take to resolve this issue?

We don't text customers, we mainly receive texts, very minimum (i.e. 2 step verification type texts), do we still need to set a SMS campaign?

It had been a week already without been able to communicate with my clients by SMS (that is 95% of our communications), already got two complaints and one job cancelled impacting our small house cleaning business, I've called couple times the customer support, they initially didn't even know what happened, I've opined a ticket and no return yet. I've tried to register the TRC failed the first time now is pending over 2 days. this thing is starting to get serious once is causing monetary losses to business' like mine.

I don't understand how this can be so complicated and there is really no support from RC. I have been with RC for years and all you get are some brainless bots dating back to 1980. I text between employees and team members and respond to clients by text and not talking about more than 15000 and less than 15000. It's ridiculous. None of the options even apply to me, so I have no idea how to even fill these out and no support. They send you some sheets that I have already seen that do not apply to my business, Some clients don't want to be called and want texts. I am seriously going to see if there is a replacement for RC. Any one can recommend another company?

I have gotten us as far as signing up with our "brand" and am moving on to the campaign. WHY were we charged $150? After reading many comments & info on the website, I do not see that. My bill says we were charged the $4 fee to register our brand, but what is the $150 for?? And our SMS texts are still NOT working. This has been an issue since MONDAY. We are in touch w/a lot of our patients and this is completely ridiculous that we can't send a text and couldn't all week.

Have been trying to send fax since Sunday, 3/5/2023. Fax is Failing. Not sure what is going on.

I notice that we only have a report to show us a breakdown of committments or promised call backs made by agents, if they broke them, or completed them. However, how can I find out what was in that committment and see the notes. It would be much more useful for me to know the reason of the call back than just a date of a call back that was missed.

Let's say I have a RingCentral account with 10 users with different extensions and one admin user. Admin user logins into my app and provides credentials (access/refresh tokens). After that I can use ~ instead of `extension` when making API calls to, let's say, get list of all phone numbers of the account. But If I want to send SMS using API from some user (out of those 10), do I have to get their extension id and specify it in the url when making API call, or can I just use ~ instead? It's important, that the caller ID of this user is shown to the person who I intend to send message to.

Can someone clarify--is it really the case the I have to register a "campaign" with TCR, obtain consent, have an opt-out mechanism, and pay some BS monthly fee--all so that I can send a few text responses to my clients and vendors? Do I really need consent to text a client that I'm stuck in traffic and will be 5 minutes late? Do my vendors really need the ability to opt out of messages like "i'm sorry i missed your call--will try you this afternoon?". This sounds like a money grabbing bureaucratic hellhole. Please someone tell me that my understanding is wrong--and tell me how to continue to use SMS on my RC line in the same way I use it on my cellphone.Sidenote--I still can't opt out of messages from shortcode spammers because RC won't let me send texts to shortcode numbers, but I have to register a campaign so that I won't cause the same frustration to others??

Our business only receives texts (mostly for account verification codes, not even to talk with clients). We are thinking about just disabling SMS, instead of worrying about TCR registration, since we don't feel our business is applicable. How are we supposed to provide opt-out examples for TCR when RingCentral doesn't have support for this currently? Are we supposed to lie? Put what it might eventually be? Unsure how to proceed here without proper RC support
