Why does the ask first on the dial pad not work for all phones in my company? I am either thinking it is 1. They are not using app 2. They are using the VVX250 phones. For the people it does not work for I hit ask first and then it will just hang up on them. Can someone give me a answer please....

We have a lot of stability and network quality issues with the RC application and taking/receiving phone calls. After spending an extensive amount of time troubleshooting we have concluded that this is because the application is forcing the phone to toggle between WIFI and mobile data based on the available signal or lack there of. Turning the WIFI off on the mobile seems to work but is certainly not a long term solution as other apps and phone back-ups require WIFI to function.The only options you have are:1. WIFI or Mobile Data2. WIFI or Carrier Minutes 3. Carrier Minutes Only (Which essentially bypasses the application and full functionality including phone recordings will no longer work.There needs to be a 4th option here for the mobile phone RC application to include: Mobile Data only.

Hello, one of my users has his email in use with another RingCentral account but I need him to use the same email for the current account but it does not allow me to register the user because it says the email is in use. Is there any way to bypass this?

I just set up my voicemail boxes with several "message only extension" group mailboxes with custom greetings which are accessible from the main company greeting (which is also a custom greeting--caller presses "1", "2", or "3", etc.). There is a long delay between the caller selecting one of the extensions and when that extension's greeting plays. It is almost 10 seconds, which seems unusually long to me.Is there any way to shorten that delay?

I am just beginning my adventure into the Ring Time api. Looks pretty cool.We need to report to our client various breakdowns of average call time, wait time, hold time, the number and distribution of abandoned calls, voicemails and more.I assumed the call log data would include these things, showing the steps and stages in the life cycle of each call. But it doesn't.What is the best practice around this? Understand we need to report in the aggregate across months of calling data. In fact, we would like to download this data for the past several months to provide a baseline.It seems the Notification API would allow us to receive a torrent of call events moment by moment, which we could filter to assemble our stats, This would work, but is not optimal. Folks,At this URL it says there's a way to get a connection string to connect to (apparently) a RingCentral Redshift database with our call data. This is thrilling!But how do I get this connection string?(Bonus question: And how come when I search this forum for the word "redshift" there are zero hits? I can't imagine I am the first person in RingCentral history to have any interest in Redshift.)Thanks!

hello, I have instances (approximately 10% of our calls) where the data in From Number/Name of an Outbound call is missing from a Call Log record. For reference, I'm pulling the data in a small database so that we can perform some advanced analytics on the call logs of the company. Missing From Numbers makes getting accurate data difficult. Is a way to collect this data from another API endpoint, or perhaps another attribute I'm missing that will identify the initiator of an outgoing call?

RingCentral Video: video recording displays speaker not speaker's screenshare. I started a meeting on RC Video. No other participants. When recording a screenshare (training video), the video itself displayed my talking head instead of the content on my screenshare except when I was not speaking. The filmreel and gallery options do not appear unless there are +1 participants. Suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated.

How to get recording from telephonySessionId as while ring out only telephonySessionId and status received

A couple of users here are experiencing an issue when they try to transfer a call, the receiver can't hear them speaking so they can't announce the caller.Now, disclaimers, I started here a week ago, I'm new to Ringcentral. My predecessor did a pretty good hand over for most of it but didn't mention this issue. We have created Webhook Subscription for getting missed calls.We are using "/restapi/v1.0/account/~/telephony/sessions?direction=Inbound&missedCall=true" to get all missed calls/voice calls.Webhook works good as we get all call information but somehow for some number we get only extention value(101) instead of phone number i.e [to] => Array ( [phoneNumber] => 101 [name] => Sneha Rao [extensionId] => 712273005                                 ).is there any way to get actual phone number instead of extention number?

We have 2 businesses in one system and we want certain extensions to have 1 caller ID and another extension have another caller ID. There is an alternate caller ID tab but you can only chose between the main number and the extension phone numbers. We have another incoming line that is routed to certain extensions and set up as another site, but does not populate in the alternate Caller ID Options. How do I get these extensions to have an alternate Caller ID ?

Hi all. Newbie to RC here, so perhaps I am doing something wrong. But...In a browser (Firefox) using javascript and the RC js SDK, I am trying to implement the OAuth2 3 legged flow using PKCE and "top frame setup" (see Top frame setup on the JS SDK page). FYI I have successfully implemented the "Popup setup" described on the same page.In the Top frame setup, when my redirectUri landing page calls rcsdk.login(loginOptions) the SDK throws an error with message "code_verifier required". It looks to me like the SDK is not sending the code_verifier when making the authorization_code request to the RC Auth server and so the RC Auth servers response is a 400 bad request.I am not sure how the SDK would know the value of the code_verifier as I believe it was generated on the main page when the loginUrl was

I am attempting to download a file that has been posted to a Teams room. I receive the contentUri from a webhook notification and when I call platform.get(contentUri) to retrieve the file, I receive "503 Service Unavailable." The URI looks correct and I've done similar things with call recordings and voicemails. I am running my application on a production instance.

Hello. When I try to place a call, it takes 15-20 seconds for anything to happen. It's like it doesn't register any clicks. It doesn't matter if I try to place the call from call history or manually typing the number (typing is fine) and clicking the call button. When an inbound call comes, I click the icon to answer the call and it takes 15-20 seconds to register. The call almost always goes to voicemail because it takes so long.I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app several times and nothing seems to help. This is my first time using RingCentral. Not fun so far, please help :(
