We our concerned that our phone system may have been compromised as we are getting repeated calls from 1-888-391-2911 and the ID of various names of people in our own organization. The calls are being received by at least two people internally. We have blocked the number on the admin console and reported the number to the CRTC (same as FCC in the US). Has anyone else had this happen and if so, were there any steps that were taken to rectify the possible compromise?

I haven't found any information about how to simply forward all calls to my cell phone instead of them going to my "office phone" or "virtual phone number," or whatever it's considered. I am thinking it's not possible because surely it would be one of the first asked question. I'm very confused. I will never use the office number and i have now found out that i have messages from a month ago in the queue. i just want to bypass that number completely - people can call it but it needs to forward to my cell and there when i type in this question, nothing is at all pertinent. I hope i can do that.... thank you. Barry

How do we change the default dial-in number in Video Meeting email invite to show as (Canada - Toronto) instead of (Canada - Montreal)? The email invites are defaulting to Canada - Montreal and I cannot find a way to change it.

We just purchased a Poly x50 system and it is running RC Video. It works great for scheduled meetings but is there a way to allow Glip users to call the RingCentral rooms system? also, is there a way to get the system to show up in the global contacts list. from testing it wont show up until you attend a meeting that involves the system.

Is there a way to have ringcentral silence itself based on my outlook/teams availability? ...so I don't get calls while I'm on a teams meeting call?

I have a user who picks up her department's main extension/number on her extension. She has it setup as a presence and the department number is also set to forward to her RC number. When the department number is called her physical phone rings like normal, but her cell and desktop apps don't ring. She can see the call history of the call coming in for the department number in her app call history, but it never rings to give her a chance to pick it up. If I ring an unused call queue that she is a part of or her direct extension then it rings her apps correctly. I did notice that her user profile didn't have the softphone device linked to her account even though she is logged in and using the apps. Is it possible that the "missing" softphone entry is causing this problem?

I have built a RingCentral "RingOut" app in the sandbox. According to the instructions, I was to use the "Main Number", assigned by Ring Central, starting with 1-866, for the production version. The access key and password go with that 1-866 number. However, that is not the phone number our customers recognize. Our Call Display number is a local Edmonton number. Now, every call my users make, using my RingOut app appears on my monthly phone bill as a separate charge, and it's costing me a bundle of cash to use this feature. The other problem is, because our customers don't recognize the 1-866 phone number, they are not answering our calls. My question is, "Is it possible for my RingOut app to use our normal, local, "Call Display" business number, so that our customers can recognize our number when we call, and also, so that I won't be charged for using my RingOut app?

Clicking the button Log to Hubspot in the RingCentral phone widget does not seem to be working. Any suggestions? Thank you!

When I try to sync my google drive account in order to attach a file, I receive the following error after selecting my google account in the popup... "This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, Google blocked this access." Is there another way to connect to my google drive so I can share google doc and sheet files?

We are using the ring central RingOut API. We want to implement a "Let us give you a free call" feature on our website such that when a customer leaves his phone number on our website he should be ringed through call out API and made enter to the call queue to be received by our sales agents.I implemented this but the problem is that, since RingOut calls the caller first (our call centre), the 4-second call queue greeting is played to ring out first from our call queue greeting, and by the time customer picks up the phone, the greeting has already finished or is halfway completed, as it got played to RingOut. The greeting contains an important message which is "all calls are recorded for training purposes". Is there a way to configure this such that, greeting only plays when customer itself picks up the phone?We cannot hardcode a delay as we do not know how long the delay should be. In Meetings, in Virtual Background, when I try to Choose a Virtual Background, the background I select is muddled - partially on, partially off. When I try to uncheck the "I Have a Green Screen" box, I get a dialog box - "Computer doesn't meet requirements. Your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements to use this feature without a green screen background." None of my coworkers have this issue, they have the same permissions as me and are able to use virtual backgrounds fine, and they don't have green screens either. Anyone know what the issue might be?

we see that the WebRTC client is regsistered but is not able to make outbound calls and am getting the error as shown. any pointers to resolve the issue?

Hello RC Community, Can anyone point me in the right direction? As I am trying to pull contact properties from RC to our HubSpot CRM, e.g., CRM is missing phone number for the majority of our contacts, but RC seems to have that missing field. It would need to update base on identifying the correct person in both databases. Not sure if this is possible but I thought I would seek some help within the community.All the best,

We have a Glip only account (just the messenger and video call service, no number) and recently our video call functionality has disappeared altogether. The button to start a video call has disappeared from both our desktop apps and web applications.I noticed certain members being added to the administration without their knowledge.This issue has happened multiple times, and I found that removing those users from administration would fix the problem for a while, after a few days. I've sent an email to techsupport@ringcentral.com two days ago and have yet to receive a response. I'm unable to submit a ticket as it requires a phone number that we don't have.

Currently, our company has two Salesforce licenses (1 salesforce org) and 2 Ring central accounts. Currently, if one person logs in RC using their credentials, the same RC account also gets logged in for the other Salesforce user.How can each Salesforce user login into their own RC account?

Hi,So I can already use the API to create a new user in my Sandbox environment successfully, and assign a currently unassigned extension/phone number to that user.Let's say then, that I run out of unassigned extensions. Is there a way to "buy" or add a new extension/phone number from the API? There is a "Create Extension" API endpoint, which I assume would do what I need? Will it automatically update the billing cycle with the new extension added to it?

Is anyone else currently experiencing delays in receiving email notifications In Outlook for voicemails? Yesterday was a 7 hour delay and today it's over an hour

We are experiencing intermittent delays in voicemail email notifications. I double-checked our server and we have Whitelisted the notification email address as well as RingCentral's domain name. Has anyone else experienced this issue and were you able to correct the problem? Is this a known problem with the voicemail email notification feature?

When will the European market have the option to display the Company Caller ID name as the main caller ID, I have been told by RC support that at present this is a US option only?

Years ago I signed up for a Ring Central limited fax-only account for $10/year. During the entire period of my subscription I have used the fax service only a handful of times. Last year, charges appeared on my account for (unanswered) phone calls. So far the charges have added up to almost $40. Last Fall, a service rep promised to refund one of the charges but the credit never made it to my credit card. I've since found a setting to block all calls but not at all sure that this will stop the additional charges. Needless to say I am frustrated, If I can't get this resolved soon I will have to cancel my account and re-do my business cards without the fax number. Probably should have done this after the first overcharge.

With the new ringcentral app having everything in one place, how can we get the company fax and be able to send messages or glips as individuals and not from the company account? We were using 2 apps before, but now with it all in one app, we either have to log in as the company or personal line, can not do both

How can I customize the RingCentral meetings invitation? In one of the threads it was suggested that customizing the default invitation may be possible by going to the specific user and editing through their meetings settings, however when I go to do this I do not see an option to upload a template, or custom the default invitation. This a very popular request but I don't see any updates on it? can someone provide a hack or a solution to this matter? Thanks in advance.

We have set a users extension up to simultaneously ring another users extension so it can be answered if the user is unavailable. We have found that doing this through call handling will only ring the desk phone of the user that it is being forwarded to and not the desktop or mobile app. Support says that is the expected behavior which makes no sense to me.. If the desk phone can ring, why is the mobile app and desktop app not ringing. Does anyone know a workaround for this other than using IVR and call queues?

When we transition between employees or reorganize roles in our company, at times one person may need to assume more than one extension. We find that verifying the uniqueness of an email is a road block.Recommendation: Remove the requirement that each extension has a unique email address.
