Ring Central Audio phone number choices

When you start a ring central meeting, there are 5 different U.S.phone numbers to connect to for audio. Does everyone need to select the same phone number to be connected? or will the Meeting ID connect everyone?

Can video be set to automatically turn off when host ends call?

I would like to be able to set my company account so that my video is automatically turned off when the call is ended by the host. I have noticed that people forget to shut down after the host ends and participant videos stay up.

Replying to Group Message Fails. Anyone Has any experience troubleshooting?

Account type: USDescription: One of our users was a recipient of a group message. The group message consists of 3 members including her and 2 of them are NOT RC numbers. whenever she tries to reply she gets the message "Message is not sent. Recipient extension is not found".only 1 of our users is affected.

meeting status does not change

I have 2 users that when they initiate a RingCentral meeting from a link within their calendar their status does not change to busy. If they join a meeting they will show as busy or initiate/host and put in their participant id they will show as busy. All my other users can host and their status changes regardless. Any suggestions?

Duration of voicemail recording times - User Experiences - Ongoing Product Concern

Limiting voicemail talking times to 3 minutes MAX seems outdated. Professionals often need to leave important updates specific to a client or to explain a situation prior to a meeting. This is quite common in many industries and situations in which the tone of the message is especially relevant to the 'next step'.Currently the experience for RingCentral users is...the caller gets abruptly cut off after 3 minutes (with no option to continue), they have to hang up, call back, select extension, remember where they left off and effectively continue their voicemail message. This seems overly and unnecessarily inefficient for the caller and for myself as the receiver of the voicemails.As the receiver, I have to exit from the VM screen- go back to menu, locate where in the multiple voicemails the last one left off (as they are not numbered in a manner that allows me to see where I was last nor does it automatically forward to the next unheard voicemail).It seems reasonable to me that

SMS not working with Google Extension

So the sms function stopped working for some reason through the google chrome extension below is a screenshot of the error it says it needs a valid phone number. ( I am the Admin)I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app rebooting the computer & uninstalling rebooting on my mobile device and I'm still getting the same error i've tried multiple phone numbers and still the same error.so I don't understand why it's not working I tried using the chat service with ringcentral and they were not able to help me and was escalated to another department. Is there anybody out therethat can help!

Color dot

Why it have only 8 colors for dot for differenciating teams? Red is not even there!And why those colors are not used in the app? It's so difficult to differenciate our teams. Best would be an avatar as for people, but at least color could do it...

I am one of a bunch of support reps in a roll-over phone queue, and I want to start taking certain hours off every day. Can I till RingCentral to do that automatically?

RingCentral beta app notification

Using RingCentral App version 20.2.10 (E.7.1.8) and received a notification to try a beta app. I did not proceed because I wanted more information regarding the beta version. I've been unable to find any information. Can anyone provide more information? Here's a screenshot of the notification.

Company Numbers Report - Call count in numbers tab does not match call detail tab

I have a client who runs a company number report and the data shows 61 calls when looking at the trends and 126 calls in the call detail. What is the methodology for calculating calls to a company number and why would this be different than what is reported in the call detail?

RingCentral keep loading the app after the update

i am in Canada. I had the prompt to updated RingCentral this morning, after it reopened after the update, RC app keeps loading. I have tried to close and open it few times, but no luck. Please le me know if anyone has a fix.

How do we prevent attendees of Webinar sharing the Webinar link to other people?

I have set Manually Approve Webinar. I approved that one attendee. The attendee then receives an email with the link to join the webinar. Before he joins he forwards that link to 5 or 6 other people I am not aware of....are they able to also join the meetings? Is there a way to prevent the other people from joining the Webinar.

"Request Limit Exceeded. App will resume in 60 seconds." Error - Wont allow me to make call or text.

I keep getting this error every time I try to make a phone call or text from the browser with 1-click. Then it says it is due to internal error. I am able to maybe get 1 phone call in until it locks for 60 seconds at a time and sometimes even more.

Searching for Documentation for the Legacy C# SDK

We ran into the same .NET Framework compatibility issue as described in this post (https://forums.developers.ringcentral.com/questions/9674/how-to-add-ringcentral-nuget-for-net-452.html).So we are using the legacy SDK found here (https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-csharp).I've read through the documentation found here (https://ringcentral-csharp.readthedocs.io/en/latest/).But I have not been able to find anything about how to make a call out. Is there other documentation out there about the legacy SDK?

Use Both Fax Machine and Email to Send / Receive Faxes

Is it possible to use both a fax machine and email with our new RingCentral fax account? I want every fax to be logged in the online app and sent to our email account, but there are some users who don't have access to the computer and need to fax the old fashioned way (from the machine). Is this possible? We have a standard phone line for the fax, but I'd like to ultimately get rid of it and do all of this over the network. Thank you for any ideas!

Enter/Exit chime still playing even with appropriate settings...

Even when the "Play sound when participants join or leave" is turned off for all of our users, the chime is still be played when someone enters a meeting. Why is this and how can we change it?

External Company Phone Book ( over 140 000 contacts ) Synchronisation with every user

Hi,I suppose some smart guy though about that before me ... is there a way to sync our global phone book from another system ( wathever php coded, or any external LDAP ) so that every user does not need to manually type it and keep it updated for everyone, at all time ?

How to get names for extension numbers?

Hello, so I can use the api to get a list of Call Monitoring Groups. Then I can use the api to get a list of the members in each group. The members have an id and extension number e.g "101".Can I use the api to get the name of the person who has extension number "101"? For example I need to know if someone named "Joe Bloggs" belongs to that extension "101".

Call sound dropping after retrieving an on hold call

We are based in the UK and use softphones. We have 20 users and they are inconsistently experiencing sound drop out on calls.They will answer a call - hear the request - put the caller on hold - then try and retrieve the call however they can hear no sound. The caller can however hear them. We usually explain there is a technical fault and transfer the call back to themselves. Then answer this 'new' call and the sound is restored. This has been occurring for over a year with minimal help from RingCentral support. They have conducted tests on our line but usually the issue does not occur during their tests.Its worth noting that this happens with incoming and outgoing calls. It usually only occurs when the caller has been placed on hold for longer than around 15 seconds.Has anyone experienced this or does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue could be? How to get the incoming number using RingCentral.Net and vb.Net in WinForms application?

We have an existing vb.Net WinForms application that accepts a phone # as a command line parameter. We have attempted to use RC Desktop Phone app to launch the external app but it does not work well in the clients terminal server environment. We are trying to convert the application to use the RC API to get the incoming number.It looks like I need a presence subscription. I found this example https://gist.github.com/grokify/2c32b06e885b4637b8153a4b938fccb6 but it is written for the old C# SDK for .Net. I'm looking for vb.Net example code for getting the incoming number using the new RingCentral.Net class library.Any help is much appreciated.

Admin should be able to toggle the status of the users on the call Call queues from unavailable to available status.

Is there anyway that the Admin of the account can manually toggle user extensions that are part of the Call Queue from Unavailable status to Available status since user extension have activated their account on their own and there is no way that we can get the login credentials from our users?
