When a coworker and I are in a chat and need to share a file we click the attach file button and select the file to send to the other person. When that person sees the attached file it has the correct extension. When they click on it to download the download status pops up and again has the filename with it's correct extension. When the download reaches 100% the extension changes from the correct value to something else.In our case, she is sending a csv file and it is getting changed to xls. Of course, the underlying file is not in the xls format but plain comma delimited text. Is the extension being changed by RingCentral or because we have office installed and RingCentral has an integration with Office is that causing it?As well, how do we disable this as other users are having issues with file extensions being changed to what might seem like being helpful but is actually very much not.

Is it possible to send a file through the chat in RC Video? Zoom has a button to upload a file next to the message window, but don't see anywhere in the chat window...

I have several phone at my work place that accept the ringcentral phone calls. I use the desktop app to see my faxes and voice messages. I do not want the phone to ring to my computer, but if I mute it in the settings, it turns off the volume for the whole computer. How do I disable the ringing on my computer app?

Is that possible without turning them both off and forwarding it to her cell (which is not an option in her case because her cell coverage sucks from home).

My firm recently made the jump from using RingCentral Meetings to RingCentral Video. We are overall very happy but one feature we seem to be missing is the ability for a virtual background via the meeting settings. In doing my own searching I found this guide: https://support.ringcentral.com/article/Enable-Virtual-Background-RingCentral-Video.html.However, it does not seem applicable anymore? Am I missing something or is this something that was removed to be refined?

Feature request:Presense for RingCentral Unified App

In ring central online portal, there is options to download the list of users with their extension numbers and saves in excel files. Is any API there that can do the same thing when called? It can provide users list with the extension numbers?

I'd love to have a feature that would give standard users access to the Analytics Reports but solely for their own logins and calls. I know I can export info from the call logs, but to have a snapshot summary view for the analytics would be extremely helpful. I want employees to be able to report and manage their own numbers instead of management managing the employees.

Can a call queue receive text messages if that queue has a direct number assigned to it? If so, who receives the text messages?

How do I change the settings for our receptionist to answer the incoming phone call live during office hours instead of it going the leave a message prompt?

I just set up my new RC account yesterday and have been playing around with the call settings. None of the call settings I've configured seem to be live, and yes I saved everything. When I make a call to test the settings, they don't seem to have been applied. Does it take a few days? Any recommendations?

The share a chrome tab is no longer an option when I click share screen. When I click on share application window, the other participants cannot see my screen.

When trying to create a new team or upload a file to an existing team in my sandbox I am getting a response with HTTP code of 503 and message of Service temporary unavailable with an error code of GLP-000. I've even tried using the "Try it out" feature in the API docs and I get the same there so I know it's nothing to do with my application code.This has been unavailable since yesterday morning, it would be nice if there was a service status page for this, but it appears that the only service status page I can find is for production services.Emailed support yesterday morning and have yet to receive a response. Anyone have any idea how long the service will be down?

We have a receptionist routing calls that come into our main line: a call comes in, reception answers, places the call on hold and then forwards the call to a user. We use RingCentral App (GLIP), not RC Phone.After the call is received by the end-user, their caller ID does not show the actual person that called but instead shows a call from our receptionist. This even happens with recorded calls making the call log and call recordings incredibly difficult to navigate and search. For an end-user to find a call that was patched through by reception, the user has to know the specific date and time and search that way; if they want to find the caller ID associated with the person that called, they have to reach out to IT to search on the admin end using reception's call log.In addition, this have proved incredibly difficult for managing call recordings because we can't simply search by the number since the moment a call is transferred by r

Subject says it all, but -I'm an overall super admin for our RingCentral account but I can't change any Glip team settings unless I created the team or the creator makes me an admin. Why not? Is there even a screen where I can see all the teams?

The Max Agent does not fully load since 18.2. We are using Chrome and support said there is an incompatibility since this release with Chrome. I am not switching to FireFox, but there are still some issues with graphics loading in FireFox. I feel the issues are not browser specific, but an issue with the update. Please add Windows 10 Ease Of Access High Contrast, Text Size, and Text Cursor to the RC softphone app. For the visually impaired people who use windows 10 ease of access its a very important feature to help them get through their long work day. Having the high contrasting colors, larger text size and colored cursor makes work a lot easier and more productive while also cutting down on headaches and eye strain. Can you please add this important feature to the softphone app?
