Glip is used by our whole business across several countries as a means to have quick collaborative conversations. Controlling when an update occurs in Glip would be of value. Updates to Glip pop up as a notification but there is no means to control when it happens. Work in progress is lost when the update runs. Ideally users should be able to delay the update until finishing a message or select to have it update at a later time.

I am having trouble finding a way to authorize a user using an access token with the re-written RingCentral.NET sdk.In every example I have found in the documentation, it requires you to authorize the RestClient with a username and password. I would much rather authorize with the password once, store the access token, and then handle token refreshes and authorization by passing in the access token.For api calls (i.e. RingOut) there is no option to pass an access token as a parameter.As an example scenario, if someone in my app authorizes their account with a username and password, I encrypt and store the access token. If they for some reason close my app and re-open it within a short time period, I cannot re-authorize the app using the decrypted token that I have stored. I have to pass in the username and password again to get a new token.It seems to me that there is really no point in having a token when using this SDK, unless I am missing something.Anybody know how I can accomplish t

It looks like RingCentral is forcing the new mobile app on us but we are having some trouble making the switch. Every time you open the app it defaults to the Glip screen which shows a sort of "news feed" of messages but does not include recent calls/missed calls. We don't use Glip at all in our company and just need the app to default to the Phone screen instead. Is there any way to make this happen?

Cant uninstall or update RingCentral on a PC that has need been used for a long time. The error says the PC is missing RingCentral for Windows Desktop Version 8.0.4. In order to uninstall or update the application the installer of 8.0.4 version is needed. I have called RC support and was told they dont have a copy that old. Any ideas??

When attempting to activate an account on the RingCentral test portal when clicking 'Set Up Account' the link followed hangs and doesn't do anything; Ideally I would like to see my account activated so I can test with it.Kind regards,Snakeboard.

We've been seeing the message "unstable internet connection" a lot during our RingCentral Meetings and the video "freezing" (and  "unstable internet connection" message) on our RingCentral Rooms setup.  Starting to troubleshoot and was curious is the list of RC Supernets listed here: https://support.ringcentral.com/s/article/9233?language=en_US#6.Supernets covered just Phones or if it included all 3 services (Phones, Meetings and Rooms).  

Can i get a clarification on this one. I know there is a rate limit on Authentication, is there a limit on outbound SMS as well?

we have created an application which sends SMS to customer through Rest API (curl) hit.SMS is Sending Successfully, but the issue is, when any customer reply against any (or specific) Message.we are not identify the reply of Message.can we use any event or webhooks? for reply of message, which we have sent to customers and we want to store that reply againstspecific message. how we can do this in PHP.if any body have done such type of work, pleas share your response on it. we don't want to use Message store method or with message Id.Thanks

Quad-core 2GHz CPU and 16GB of mem. The processor utilization goes up into the 90% range with RC Meeting running. I can't use my browser while this is happening. After I close my meeting, CPU is in the 20% range.Is there anything that can be done to tune RC Meeting?

We would like to archive all Text messages sent to or from our extensions. However, if a user deletes a message (by selecting a thread, right-clicking an individual message bubble, and choosing delete) from the desktop app, is that message now gone from Ring Central backend storage? Would a call to message-store Get Messages return this "deleted" message?Or does this only hide it from the user (similar to how clearing the call log via the desktop app only really hides it for that user)?Thanks!

Hi, is there a way for me to call multiple numbers (up to ten) by dialing one group number? I imagine i can add these ten numbers into a group. And then instead of dialing one after the other, i can somehow dial one "group number", and then RingCentral can dial those ten numbers for me. In my case, we don't have to conference/talk. I just want to wake them up for system testing around midnight. :-) Thanks, Lei

When I fax Then i receive the email from the ring central of the status for the faxes submitted. The email notifications I received were extremely slow today. Usually it takes no more than 30 minutes to fax them all and to receive the emails from ring central about the status. But today it took more than 3 hours. This was my concern. Now all is faxed. if it is possible to check what the problem was just to prevent it from happening in the future I will appreciate.

I am using the C sharp client sdk to send faxes through the production environment. Everything seems to be working as it should, except when I examine the call logs the incoming fax shows the Result as "Partial Receive". It never changes the Result message, but eventually the fax is received and I am able to view it and it is complete. Why is the result message never updated?I am sending using the C# client sdk through my Ring Central account to a fax number I created in my RC account. I would think this would go much smoother where both numbers are in my own RC account. The email method seems to be much faster, but I was having problems with relays banning me as spam.Since the material (medical info) is time sensitive I need to know if the API method is reliable and what I should expect for transmission times?.

If you want to learn how to check the status of a fax transmission via the API here is the answer:When you are sending a fax message through the FaxOut API, you can check the status of its transmission. Outgoing faxes pass through several workflow phases, so when you have just sent an API request message its status will be Queued (this status is returned in the FaxOut API response).After some time (usually within couple of minutes) the status of the fax message will be changed to either Sent (which means that the fax was sent successfully) or to Sending Failed.You can call the Get Message or the Get Message List API to check the status of a particular message.Read more here

We use the SMS endpoint for our mass text application, but today, we sent 225 test SMS with RingCentral's APIs but received only about 10% of them. On the Analytics tab on developer.ringcentral.com, we have 300 successful API requests and 0 bad request in today's date. How is this possible?

I am in need of getting a dynamic list of users that are part of a call queue. Is there a way to this with the API? Can someone point in the right direction? My end game is wanting to get the number of available users in a call queue by checking presence for each user that would be returned from the list I am looking for. Thanks in advance.

How do I obtain from the API the forwarding number list from the API?According to the documentation these are the acceptable "from" number for the first leg of a RingOut call.The RingOut Service makes these numbers available.
