The RingCentral Windows app tends to "follow" the default speaker and microphone devices, even when we manually set them in the app.Is there a way to prevent the app from changing devices unless specifically instructed to do so? We frequently change audio devices and other apps keep their existing preferences, but with RC we have to go into the settings every time we change an audio device to pick the correct mic/speaker combo again.

Hi, how can I forward all incoming calls on our main phone number to an external phone number within our business hours 

We just purchased RingSense for EX, but I’m not finding much documentation around how to assign a manager to be able to view the related metrics/transcripts/scorecards and etc - most of the docs seem to be geared toward the CX RingSense tool. After I add the license to the users, how to I enable their manager to view the details for their individual staff?  is the only way to create a team within RingEX?  If we create a team, can all members of the team review each others RingSense info, or just the manager.

clicking call after inputting a call out number, but the app will not acknowledge that I am pressing call. computer desk top app - not allowing call out. HELPPLEASE  

Wondering if anybody else see this as useful. I just submitted it as a feature request.  A few days ago I asked about the greetings seen while creating rules, but no answers yet.  We use the custom rules for holidays and all sorts of scheduled and unscheduled closures in our queues and IVRs. As an example our offices closed yesterday at 2pm due to heavy lake-effect snow. Adjusting my "Weather Closure" rules is easy and it works great (even if the staff queue managers never do it themselves). However, what we don't have is an easy way to inform callers about the reason for the closure. The queue is simply closed, callers get sent to voicemail, and that's it. I could re-record the Call Queue Greeting, but that's not a good solution for unanticipated closures when we plan to be open the next day. Hi All, Are there registry keys that can be set to automatically hide the Video, Text and Message Tabs in the RC EX desktop app? We are only utilizing the Phone and Fax capabilities and will utilize a separate software for organization chat functions.

Our team uses RingCentralEX. We rely on a team chat to share a lot of internal information. We’re coming from Slack, where we used a bot to automate responses to some frequently asked questions. I can’t seem to find similar functionality. Am I missing it?We also have certain actions that occur frequently with small differences. Is there a way to implement a templated message inside Team chats? 

Hello.  I am a non developer operations manager trying to set up an automation for my AI voice agent to pull callers into a Park Extension.  Using the Make.com Make an API call I am running into a AGW-404 error.  The end point URL looks like this:https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/2817278028/telephony/sessions But Im unsure if i have my account id correct.  I couldn’t find the account id anywhere in my account so I just used the URL when logged into the admin console.  Am I correct or is this why im getting the 404 error?Im setting up the first webhook to retreive the call session, then I planned to set up another to get the callID, then the Park Call Action last.Can anyone help? Hello, I am developing an integration between RingCentral and a custom app that uses RingCentral webhooks to notify and provides some call data to the custom app when our users receive an inbound call. Following the Creating Webhooks guide, I created a webserver and URL for the webhook and sucessfully registered a subscription with event filters for a subset of our extensions’ Telephony Session Events. On the app side, I can see inbound events for some but not all calls. Specifically, when comparing the unique telephony sessions received on our app and call records from the Call Log API, it appears that the app is only receiving events for calls with action type “Phone Call” while calls with action type “VoIP Call” may not be sending events.  Is this expected behavior with the Telephony Session Events, and, if so, are there any event filters that can trigger on VoIP calls? Thanks

When a customer is on hold I want to give them the option to hang up but retain their position in the queue and call them back automatically when a representative is available for them. is that possible with Ring Central?

I have ring central app installed on my Samsung Galaxy S8 and all of my notification for my phone flow through my Asus ZenWatch 2 except when I get a Ring Central phone call through the app. All of my other notifications for my phone are set to silent because I get my notification through my watch, except Ring Central calls which cause my cellphone to vibrate.

Literally every single time my MacBook goes to sleep the ring central Phone app freezes (abnormal termination per the bajillion reports I've bothered to click yes to send). The Ring Central app (as opposed to the Ring Central Phone App) (boy that never gets confusing) doesn't seem to have the same issues, however I hate the Ring Central app, it's cumbersome and filled with features that none of my clients will ever agree to start using, whereas the phone app is clean and simple and basically a phone fax text app. Phone App is 23.1.1.45971, M1 Mac is running Ventura 13.3, everything is up to date. I'm curious if anyone else is having issues, wonder if anyone has a working solution (aside from the generic and does not fix the issue uninstall reinstall), and generally just hope this gets seen by RC tech support.

Pretty much the title. I have some users that need to join RC meetings, but they’re on desktops that only have speakers and no microphones. They just need to listen to the meetings, it’s sort of a group update kind of thing, but it looks like RC won’t let them join their speakers if they don’t have a mic. Is there any way to enable this apart from them having to dial in?

I'm trying to figure out what is causing this problem. When various of the phone team are taking calls from the callers through the call queue and have the calls forwarded to their cell phone, a call comes in and they are prompted to "press 1" to accept. This all worked great until about 2 weeks ago and now maybe about 1 out of 4 calls the system won't acknowledge that they pressed a number. Some are iPhone's and some are Androids. Thought maybe changing the DTMF tones to long instead of short might help but can't find that setting on my Galaxy S8....

Hi RingCentral developers!We want to add a RingCentral integration in our application, so when people our calling our clients, users can see who is calling and some extra information from our system. What’s the best way to tackle this? Sync contacts? If yes, where should we write the extra information? Notes field? In an ideal world, we would like to create an integration where when an incoming call arrives, we grab the web hook, we get the information from our system and we somehow append this information to the incoming call so that information is displayed. Is that possible or something similar?

It appears that the “List Video Meetings” API call is user-oriented. Is there a way to submit this across the Enterprise? The idea is to collect all Video Meetings, then Notes and other components for the meetings for an Organization, or RingCentral account. This is beyond the “List Account Recordings” as it needs to apply to meetings that have not necessarily been “recorded”. 

A user asked me this. I am not sure if we are speaking the same terms, but he asked, “If I initiate a Ring video meeting, can I make someone else the presenter?” I can’t find anything related to this. He did state that you can do this in Teams.

Hi,We have recently received a number of spam calls from a specific country code +971. While I have blocked the numbers at the extension level, the issue persists—we are still receiving spam calls from the same numbers and new ones as well.For instance, I tested blocking my private number from my extension, and it worked. However, if my extension is part of a call queue that’s connected to an IVR, if someone calls to that IVR main number I still receive calls.We would like to block these calls for our main site number. I checked the RingCentral admin portal but couldn’t find any options to block calls at the country code level.Could you please guide us on how to block calls from an entire country code? This is a very urgent matter. I checked few articles but it didn't help in my case. Thank you for your support.

When we turn on AI Notes, a voice prompt is triggered. However, if I add a third party to the lineDo the AI Notes remain engaged? Or do they need to be turned on again If the AI Note remain engaged, does the Added caller hear the “AI is taking notes” prompt? 

I’m struggling with creating a custom rule for a user on our account, and wondering if I’ve misunderstood how it works.The user’s extension was originally set up to play a non-voicemail announcement for all calls. The intention was to try and keep this user’s extension open for internal employees while not allowing inbound calls from outside to ring their phone or leave a message.To that end, I tried creating a custom rule on his extension that would allow callers within our company account to bypass this call routing and leave a voicemail message - adding each of our company users manually to the Callers field. Still, regardless of who calls him, all users still get the announcement without voicemail.I’ve also tried this on my own extension with similar results, so I am curious if there’s a piece I’m missing.

 We’re having a problem with all of our users this  this afternoon where text messages are  Intermittently not sent. The screenshot attached. All of the users are existing users, no one new.  Our TCR campaign has been set up and working for some months -  Nothing has been changed. Problem occurs whether you’re using the app or the browser. Problem with curves for users logged in in entirely different areas. We have one in Minnesota, one in Houston. And one in New Zealand. All are having the same problem. problem occurs if the text. Is going to a single person, or is going to multiple recipients and is turned into an MMS by ring central. Problem occurs when the recipients are on various networks, and even ring central to ring central.
