Fax

I am unable to find any fax feature on the ringcentral desktop app. Web app includes no phone functions either, but I guess that's normal? The admin portal and help pages make mention to access the fax feature through the drop down menus, or "+" button, but I do not have one. I thought MVP came with that feature.

We have multiple users who cannot send fax from email. This started last week and has continued this week. The users have been setup and granted access using their company email address on the administrator portal.I have verified the sending email address using the tools provided and has passed.I opened a ticket last week and have not heard back.Any help would be appreciated.Thank you.

We ported over our main phone number and what was our fax number previously. Am I able to assign what was our fax number before to the company fax in RingCentral? How do I do that?

I've been having an issue with PDF's created from scans showing up blank when I fax them. The only fix I have found is to export the PDF as a PDF and then it attaches just fine. Why is that?

when sending a fax-how do you enter in all the info on the cover page (name, what fax is pertaining to, etc)?I know similar questions have been asked but it has been over a year, so I thought the answer may be different.

Im trying to send a fax. I reached out the automated chat and i tried following the instructions but I cant find the fax icon anywhere. Any ideas, is it something my account does have, do I need to but additional privileges? Thanks

We have been down for 11 days since Friday, August 5th. At first they mentioned I needed to get SPF, DKIM and DMARC validation for the Fraud Department to enable E2F Function. However, now that I have passed all tests and have had the Fraud Department enable E2F Function again, it is still not working. we are trying to add the ability for all users in our email domain to be able to utilize the email to fax feature. we can only add individual emails under each number, we have over 900 users with emails. that is not going to work. i need to find out how to enable this on the acct. i see where we can add up to 25 users per number, that just will not work. also there is a external communications area and we added our domain to it

Hello. I have an 877 number as my main company number. In the Admin Portal under "Phone System --> Numbers in Use" for every other company number I get a drop-down box where I can choose "Voice Only", "Fax Only", or "Voice and Fax". For my 877 number, "Voice and Fax" is selected for me with no dropdown box options.How do I change this 877 number to Voice Only?I have another fax number I want faxes directed to.Thanks,Michael

We just realized that no faxes are being sent for the past three days. We are receiving faxes just fine and the notifcations for calls and texts are still coming through our main line. When I pulled the report of all outgoing faxes for the week, it shows the last fax sent was on Tuesday. We've sent dozens of faxes since then for which no confirmation was received nor do they appear on the log as outgoing. Can anyone help?

We are attaching both Word (.doc) documents and Adobe (.pdf) for faxing via email. The Word documents are being ignored or not sent (failure). If both Word and Adobe documents are attached, the Word document is ignored and only the Adobe document sent.Word is shown as an accepted file type yet is no longer working.

As of Monday we have noticed a change in how the web portal messages page works. We download faxes in batches by customer from the web portal which works best for our volume and workflow. We filter by name (of customer) and status: Unread.Prior to this week, when we would download a fax it would automatically be marked as "Read" and filter out automatically as we download that batch.There were two behavior changes which are slowing down our process:1) Downloading the fax no longer marks the fax as "Read". We have to check the ones we downloaded manually and then click "Mark Read" on the the top bar. This happens no matter how we view/download.2) You can download by clicking on the three dots under "Action" and clicking download which is a two click process. You used to be able to click on 'download fax' icon under message for one click download. This now takes multiple clicks to download.

Right now emails are sent to my staff with a TIFF attachment of the fax. I'd like it to be PDF instead of TIFF. Is there a way to change this somewhere?

When I call support and it says to hold for an agent to help me with my problem, do they ever answer? I have been in the queue for over an hour and a half first thing in the morning and am still waiting. I was also in the queue for over two hours last week before I had to hang up. Very frustrating.

I need to set up one fax line to have multiple recipients for incoming faxes. It is for one of our sales team and I need three people to receive the incoming faxes from this one fax line. Is it possible?

I just updated to the new version of the RingCentral app and I'm very confused! When I create a new fax, the only information it asks for is the fax number, which cover page, and the note you'd like to add to the cover page. There's no place to add the recipient's info. The cover sheet, no matter which one I choose, ends up only having my company's information filled out. Am I missing something? Where are the recipient fields?

Does anyone know when the custom fax cover sheet will be available in the desktop app?

I have a ticket open already but wondering if this is isolated to our organization. Emails going out via @rcfax.com appear to not be processed by RingCentral. Looking through the logs on our email servers I show the emails being received by RingCentral's SMTP server and getting back a 250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as XXXXXXXX. Faxes sent via the app is working but is not an acceptable solution for us as all faxes must be archived.

We have a fax-only account, with up to 25 users able to send faxes via email. We hired a new person today, and when I went to add them to the list through 'outbound fax settings', the list of email addresses isn't there. How can I add new users? Also, possibly related, it seems that outgoing email faxes aren't going. Two of us tried. Nothing showed up in outbox or sent, no confirmations were received. It was working last week. Any ideas?

All of a sudden today we have not been able to send outgoing faxes because RC is marking them as spam. We typically send faxes to the same numbers over and over. We have faxed this particular number at least 2-3 times per week for years. Any idea why it's now being rejected? Can we override the system to mark it as safe to send?

Logged into my RingCentral account to view a fax. When I click on the icon to open the fax, it does not open as a .PDF. I get an error message because it is trying to open as as a .TIF. I have spoken with chat multiple times!!! CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. Ring Central originally told me that to fix it that I needed to tell the customer to call send the fax again and this time to select .PDF as the file format that he was sending in. However, I told the rep that you don't actually select a file format when sending a fax. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME FAST AS I NEED ACCESS TO THESE FAXES THAT CAME IN AND MY CUSTOMER CANNOT RESEND.

Thank you in advance for your help to resolve my issue.I do have 2 licenses with Ring Central one for a regular phone and one for a fax number. My problem is that this was set up maybe 10 years ago and the web site has changed and I now need to change the email address where my received faxes on my ring central fax number get automatically forwarded to . I have gone through every settings I could find on the web site on the app, etc. and I just cannot find where that information is stored and where I could edit the email address.
