We are getting ready to switch our current provide to Ring Central. Our current provider allows us to page all desk phones at once. A companywide page to all users is what we need. Currently it appears this is not possible in Ring Central? It's limited to 25 devices/users that can be paged at once. Is this true? Only 25 users max can be paged at once?

I want to revisit the 25 phone paging device limitation. Is there any creative workaround to extend this limit? The issue with network traffic is, to me, nonsense on an enterprise-level gigabit network, particularly in a health care facility where a medical code incident must be broadcast to various offices that will never contain paging speakers. FWIW our previous Cisco UCS system implemented Informacast which could page 250+ phones and our network somehow survived the onslaught every time I tested it. ;-)

Hello, I keep getting pop-up notifications on my Windows desktop that just say “private” with no other description. I don’t know what it is. It’s not a text, voicemail, missed call, fax, or video. But it keeps doing it at odd hours and usually several times in a row so my computer just keeps beeping. I don’t want to turn off notifications. I just want to know what these particular notifications are for. Thank you.

As the title says.  Some of our clients are unable to place inbound calls to us, or send inbound text messages to us from their cellular phones.  This problem appears to be intermittent, and when it happens, no call logs are generated in the RingCentral admin panel as far as we can tell.  It’s happening often enough that it’s becoming an issue. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

When I create a holiday message under Auto-Receptionist/General Settings/Call Handling/Custom Rules , the date and time settings don’t automatically set the rule to active. For example, when I set a holiday greeting on the auto-receptionist to run conditionally on a date and/or time, the rule will not be set automatically and I have to manually go in and toggle the active slider. Is this by design or am I missing something in my rule set? (The schedule has expired in the pic below as I am writing this days after the event). 

I want keep incoming calls on hook so the calling party does not see the call off hook until it is answered by a person or by voicemail. Right now, any incoming call immediately goes off hook from the calling party’s point of view. This interferes with automated messages like xMatters or conference call instructions on how to join the meeting, to the point that they are unusable.This is not about ringback tones, it happens even on extensions that have “Play music while connecting” turned off.

We have 5 people set up on a call queue, every time a call comes in and someone answers one of the other people in the call queue still experience a ringing tone. only way to stop it is to sign out of ring central and sign back in. How do I stop this from happening?

Looking at the Automator, have you all thought about offering an automation based on a Set Status in the system? I work on a very small team that handles a large volume of leads. We do in person interviews so it would be great to be able to set ‘In a Meeting’ Status and have an auto-reply setup for anytime that status is in use. 

I am experiencing an issue where incoming callers receive no dial tone when calling my personal desk phone. For example, I will call my desk phone from my cell phone and receive no dial tone or ringing on the cell phone. This is happening when calling from other internal phones as well. This is a desk phone not a call queue so the “Audio while connecting” setting does not apply. I've resynced the desk phone, power cycled the phone, inspected call rules, even swapped the phone entirely. All without resolution. Any help would be appreciated. 

I'm having a bit of trouble with frequent and repeated incoming calls. It's really disrupting my day and costing me time and money .I was wondering if there's a way to automatically save the names of frequent callers to the caller ID. That would be a huge help in identifying important calls and quickly dismissing less urgent ones.Alternatively, is there a feature to detect and flag repeated calls from the same number? Maybe even an option to alert or notify me before take the call ?Any suggestions or add-ons you can recommend would be greatly appreciated.Thanks for your help!

How do I get Ring Central to tell me "You have a call from BUSINESS NAME" when it forwards a call to my cell phone?

After a call is completed it can take up to 90 seconds for the phone to receive dial tone to make another call.  

I received a recent call from Dell Support Technician and the phone number came up as Possible Scammer Robo call on my Ring Central Caller ID. I was waiting for contact from Dell to have a computer repaired. I was glad the tech email mailed me back to follow up on my Service Ticket. After he emailed me back, I did a google search for the phone number and it appears to be a valid Dell number. What information can I send the tech that he may be able to submit to his Dell company manger to have their phone number validated with RingCentral so it can be removed from the RingCentral Scam call logs?I do not think it is appropriate to post the Dell phone number on this board, all I'd like is be able to get the RingCentral process on getting the number removed.Thank you,

We are new to the system and are only using the mobile app. One extension wants to have a desktop phone because their cell phone sound quality is not good. Once a desktop phone is in use, can the mobile app still be used for the same extension?

Can limited extensions be part of a ring group when so when not answered it goes to a central voicemail? 

I know to place international calls user extensions must be assigned International Calling role but I want to know if Standard role includes the ability to receive the incoming international calls ?

Dear Optus RingCentral Support Team,I am writing on a critical issue with our business phone system that has persisted since your recent system update. Hey, everybody! Maybe someone's had a run-in? I read in the instructions how to open international calls.https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Enable-Disable-International-Calling-Feature.html?brand=RC_US&product=RingEX&language=en_USI enabled the necessary settings according to the instructions, but had no success. What did I do wrong? While making a call, the system says: The destination is disabled for your account.   

  Ive been trying for a week to port my Ringcentral phone number to a different carrier and they have been blocking my carrier and myself from completing the transfer. The carrier has made several requests and also called Ringcentral 3 times this has been going on for a week. I have called RingCentral many times and spoken with people in many departments including the porting team and no one seems to be able to help me.Then it was discovered when Ringcentral declined the port they then closed my account and so now no one can help me port the number. When I tried to reactivate my account they refused and said it had been locked by the fraud department but there is  no reason why and I was told there was no way to contact the fraud department except by email and they do not seem to respond to emails.  I called and asked to talk to a administrator at Ringcentral and I was told this is not possible. Does anyone know a phone number for the fraud department? we have several user whose voicemails do not show as “read” after they listen to the in the desktop APP, I am working with RingCentral support but have not been able to resolve yet.Their settings are identical to all users Has anyone experienced this issue?

RingCentral refuses to unlock my phone number to port it to my new carrier and gives me no reason why and my account is in good standing and has always been current I am at a dead end with Ringcentral customer service  Do you think it would be worthwhile to contact RingCentrals  carrier AT&T and bypass them to get my phone number ported to my new carrier?This is my business line and important to me. Customer support now says my account has been locked by the Fraud Detection Department but but tell me I cannot contact them by phone it has to be done by email and I was given a email address which bounced back as undeliverable.I have spent a long time trying to get contact information for the Ringcentral Fraud Detection Department and it appears it does not exist and customer service just made the whole story up.No one has contacted me about any problems with my account or why I am blocked from porting my phone number it seems customer service is just a bunch o

We have inbound call recording enabled. When an inbound call is placed on hold on a park location then gets picked up internally, the recording does not resume on the internally transferred call. Does anyone know how to get this to work correctly?
