Hello. My company provides support for another company who utilizes the desktop Ring app. I have one user in particular who has a very annoying issue the last several weeks. Every few days, she will get a message in the app which states that access to her microphone is blocked. Here's what I've tried to fix it:Windows settings permit the mic to use Ring.I ran BIOS and Windows updates. I had her try both internal and external mics. I uninstalled and reinstalled Ring. I ran chkdsk and sfc /scannow.I changed the default mic. It just seems to be different versions of the same mic though. Checked device manager to make sure mic drivers were up to date. I disabled and re-enabled it to no avail.

I am trying to download a CSR for porting numbers out of RingCentral. The instructions titled "Downloading your Customer Service Record in the RingCentral online account" with a last update of January 11, 2023 states there is a "CSR for porting out Download" option. I have followed the path provided - Admin Portal > Phone System > Phone Numbers > All Numbers and am not seeing the CSR for porting out Download option.Every search that I do leads me to this same article. Is there another place the CSR download has moved to?Thank you

I've been having difficulty importing an updated contact list. Is there a way to delete all entries in the Personal Contact list so I can start over?

I cannot receive phones calls from a landline phone.  It just rings busy.

Calls that we make from our desk phones to AT&T mobile numbers DO go through. Calls made from AT&T mobile numbers TO any of our company phone numbers do NOT go through. AT&T Wireless customers get a busy signal or a "We're sorry but all circuits are busy" message. Sprint and Verizon callers do not seem to be affected, and are able to call us just fine.I called RingCentral support, and I was told that maybe it is because all 50 of our phone numbers had somehow been flagged as spam. This doesn’t make any sense for a number of reasons:If we are flagged as spam, why are we still able to call AT&T customers? Shouldn’t they have blocked us from calling their customers instead of the other way around?How did all 50 of our phone numbers get reported for spam simultaneously? We have only publicized about 10 of these phone numbers. How would someone find the others?The chat support in the RingCentral admin does not work

I would like my callers to be able to dial the extension of their choice. What am I missing? For example, we created an extension for each state we do business in. “To reach your regional account manager, please dial the two-digit state from which you are calling.” (Arizona = AZ = 29) I cannot figure out how to let my callers dial Extension 29! I can’t figure it out : ( The IVR menu only goes 1-9. And once you’re in a Queue, you can’t dial an extension?? WHAT? HELP 

Hi all!  I love the Poly Savi 8200 Headset and I was using it with RC for about a week or two without issue.   All the sudden I can hardly hear my callers and it appears that they can hear me ok. I have the volume on the highest setting, both on the base and the earpiece (and in settings of RC).  Is there a fix for this?  I’m using a wired headset for now but I’d love to go back to my on-ear headset so I don’t dent my hair :(  Thanks!

We utilize the text-to-speech engine for a couple of our IVRs, and generally it works quite well.However, on one IVR I’m having a rough time getting it to say “dental” properly. I’ve tried all sorts of phonetics and just about the time I get close the tts engine spins into something completely different. Also, does it need to go so fast? I use three commas between every sentence just to put a normal amount of space between them. I’d think it would understand a period means to pause a sec, but no. 

Is it possible to select a voicemail from the RC desktop application and have it playback through your desk phone?  I’m trying to search and see if this feature exists but I’m not having any luck.  I know you can play a voicemail from the RC app and listen to it directly on the computer but what if I don’t have speakers or headphones?  I want to select a voicemail from the app and play it back on my desk phone.

Hello,Hoping for some help.Today our system suddenly stopped accepting button presses from the IVR menu. When you call in, it reads the prompt, but no matter which button is pressed, nothing happens. We haven’t made any changes to the system and it was working fine for ~2 years up until now.Any help would be great!

WHEN DND IS ON CAN I HAVE THE CALLS FORWARDED TO A DIFFERENT EXTENSION?OR IS THERE A WAY TO FORWARD CALLS FROM THE DESK PHONE?

My company is having some difficulty setting up text messaging through Ring Central. In the Admin portal, it says our TCR was registered. However, we still don’t have the ability to send TEXT messages. We reached out to their support and received some very unprofessionally written responses. These emails basically said we need to add language about how users can opt-in, opt-out, etc. of our text messages. However, we do not plan on running SMS campaigns, nor collecting phone numbers. We simply want to message someone on their phone, like you can do through Google Voice (which is what we used before). We are now being told to seek legal counsel for this issue, when I am not sure why.  Has anyone else run into this issue and if so, how was it solved? Thank you. 

I would like to make calls that I receive to a ring group be silent but have my camera LED flash. Can this be done in RingCentral? I am using the Android app version 24.2.30.400617.

I have recently purchased a Cisco ATA 191 for use with an analog phone system I need for a specific use case. I can successfully provision the ATA, but after a successful provisioning the device never shows as online, and does not work with any analog phone that I try.  My guess is I have to configure something on the ATA itself regarding TLS connection settings, but I can’t find any documentation anywhere to guide me through this process. The only thread I can find on the RingCentral community points to a help article that now redirects to a 404 page.Can anyone provide any help?

We are just putting out phones out on site and some are not getting any IP.  when trying to login to the web interface admin/admin does not work. could it be a firmware upgrade problem ?ThanksAndy

Yesterday RingCentral worked flawlessly.  Today, I tried to click on the web based phone number to dial.  just like I have always done.  Nothing.. Now, After review with the Ring Central team they tell me it “should be” right.  I DID notice that although Windows shows RingCentral in the app Chioces, the TEL protocol is absent. Yesterday the Ring Central icon was there,I cant select ring Central as the default app. Anyone else see this issue?

How do I route a call to a call queue when a user is busy?If I turn call waiting ‘off’ it will route the call to voicemail for the particular user, but I wish to have the option to route it to a call queue extension instead so that a ‘human being’ can answer the call instead of ‘voicemail’.Is this currently possible?  If not, it may be a good suggestion for future implementation.Thanks in advance!Peter

I saw some very old questions on this sayign it was a planned feature, but is it possible to do two channel audio recording?

A user reported that she was not receiving email alerts when she received a new email. When I checked her setup, the app was reporting "99+" voice mails. When I called her extension, I left a voice mail and it did not show in the list, and there was no notification that there was a new voice mail.Is there a limit to the number of voice mails for the users? Is there a sync delay after deleting voice mails before it allows more?

My company uses Ring Central for faxing only.  Is there a resource somewhere that explains all the ins and outs of faxing using Ring Central?  Some things I am looking for is account creation and managing.  Changing who can send and receive faxes.  Assigning fax numbers to departments instead of specific extensions or people. The specific problems I am having is when our fax numbers were initially created they were created under a specific ext./user name and that was the person who received all faxes for that fax line.  Over time, these people have moved departments or left the company.  I want to keep all the fax numbers we have already purchased and just assign new people to them.I need to know if I can assign specific fax numbers to a specific department and just go in and change the email to a new recipient Does this recipient have to have an account built, as I would do if I were setting up a new user? How do I get my incoming calls to ring on our overhead paging system (Algo and CyberData)? This is for our retail stores where it’s hard to hear the diminutive ringers on our Poly desk phones.

Hopefully somebody is able to advise on this as I’ve not been able to find the info online. We work with a finance company who want to be able to access our call logs for audit purposes - is there any way to set up access for them to our call recordings without us giving them a full admin privileges?  Thank you for the help.
