I'm training new staff for the first time in several years; and we're using the Ring Central Desktop App which is nice.  But, it doesn't have HUD.  This feature is ESSENTIAL when training telephone support staff.  Especially now that no one is in the same office with anyone else.  It's absolutely ESSENTIAL to be able to monitor who's on a call and then to "monitor" that conversation so managers can coach or take over the call.  I installed the old Ring Central Phone App along side the new one for now.  But, please add HUD to the Ring Central Desktop App.

I am currently using the message store export (/restapi/v1.0/account/~/message-store-report) to generate exports for fax and sms. Under normal circumstances, this will generate 2 zip files (one with the report logs in json format, and one with the attachments). Due to the nature of our app, we only need the report logs in json format, and not the attachments. Is there a way to create a message store export without the attachments?I realize that I can just ignore the attachments on my end. But the real reason behind this is to speed up the report generation on the RingCentral side. Sometimes we export a report for the date range of a week or a month, and it takes close to an hour if not longer. I don't know how it works behind the scenes, but my suspicion is that the long waiting times are due to the large amount of content (attachments) that are being streamed into the zip file. As the title asks, what is the essential difference between these two API calls? We are looking to build a database of our call log and store recordings with it.

I use Ringcentral for Windows and some of my contacts synced and some did not. On the iPhone app all contacts synced. I use chrome not outlook. How can I get the rest of my contacts to sync in the windows app?U.S. Version 8.0.4.20112

Hello,I tried to integrate RingCentral with Salesforce, I installed the package in Salesforce, I set up my username to be able to use it, I set up the softphone layout, everything is working fine with the outbound calls, but with the inbound calls, I just see they are coming in, but I am not able to pick it up because there is no button to answer.I just see the call is answered in another device, but I cannot answer it myself using salesforce and the ringcentral app in SFIs there something I am missing? maybe a setting?Ring Central Version 6.10I'm using AT&T Office @ Hand Phone number.We have physical phones installed, but now we want to use salesforce as well.Example of what I cannot see when there is an inbound call.

1. Account Type: US2. Related Case Number: 060659303. I am having an issue with my HUD not displaying extensions presence correctly. Some users show as having multiple calls, others showing as being on the line when I know they're not, others show that their extension is ringing when it's not. It's causing a lot of miscommunication and missed calls. This has been an issue before, we called and created a case number but now it seems to be happening again. I have already gone through all the network configurations and checked all the settings on the routers and firewalls. 4. When we try to get our voicemails, we get a busy signal. *86 or pressing the message button gets us a busy signal. Any suggestions?

Having the error at its start up "E911 service is Limited" and later an icon on top right appears saying you can not make or recieve call ?

Hello, I have an issue with Ring Central where every outbound call I attempt to place does not show in the app. Yet the call goes ahead. I can hear the call ringing, but no screen shows up telling me I am on an active call - I cannot put the call down, or mute or anything. If I press the green phone button again, all it does is statrt a new call on top of the existing call. I then get cut off a call 1-2 minutes in. Please can you help?I am running RingCentral App on iphone

Are your call group queues working as expected? We have many queues with 2 or more call members in them. When a customer dials a group direct number the call is placed on the call queue but none of the available members' extensions ring whether the member has mobile and desktop enabled in call handling or not. There aren't any custom rules created.I have gone through tiers 1 and 2 with RingCentral support. I've contacted my Sr. CSM, spent hours waiting on the phone, sent emails. Nothing. The issue is now 24 hours old.Have you experienced similar?Do you have any contacts in tier 3?

I have 3 phone numbers under my one account; each phone number is for a different company. There is 1 main line for one company, and then 2 virtual lines for the other 2 companies. I would like for when the calls come in on my ring central app to show which company is being called. In example, when I get a call in to Company A, then Company A's name will appear on my screen; when I get a call coming in from Company B, then Company B's name will appear on my screen, and so on. I have called to ring central, spoken with their Advanced Tech Team who advised they do NOT have this feature for VIRTUAL LINES, and to go on the FEATURE REQUEST page in order to request it be added. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue.

What is this is next to a name listed in messages and why doesn't everyone see it?

Hello I am using the RC Phone app version 20.1.0 on my laptop for reception work across the U.S (Another receptionist and I take all calls coming in Nationally).I cannot find a way to back out of a warm transfer to either find another contact for the caller or send to VM. I CAN go back to the caller in general, but the only option I have is to complete the transfer.  Is there an option to back out of a warm transfer and start fresh with the caller?

High GPU Usage - Slow performanceWindows 10 Pro 64bitIntel Core i716gb RAMJust downloaded and installed RC Meetings for the first time, so I am assuming the most current version.My entire system slows to a crawl when I am in ringcentral meeting.  Task manager showing GPU usage at 100% during meeting. Also causing laptop to get hot.Any info would be appreciated.

Ive been using RC for about a month with only a few minor glitches. My biggest gripe is that I cant answer or hang up via my bluetooth headset when connected to my android phone. Anyone have a fix for this?

I've noticed that when not using RC (running in the background idle) it will change the status for users from a green dot to a gray dot. Is there anyway to disable the idle status timeout?

I'm being told by support that this is not a current capability of the system and was advised to come post here and perhaps have this added as a future feature.

My outbound caller ID is showing "UNKNOWN CALLER" to customers. I have it set up to show my company name in the settings on website. Im using the mobile app and have caller ID set to main company number for caller ID.

When calling the main company number, there are cases where people only want to leave a voicemail for a person, and not ring a person's phone first. (Ex. If you want to leave a voice message, but it's not urgent.)Please provide this feature as Ring Central doesn't provide feature parity with on-premises phone systems which all have this functionality.Thanks

We have several SoundStation IP 6000 phones.When we connect them to a 2960-X switch they do not fully work. The phone will power on, receive an IP via dhcp, but not much after that will happen.  Pinging the IP of the phone has almost 100% packet loss.  I've tried several different interfaces on the 2960-X and get the same result.  Verified that I can connect other devices to these ports and they work without issue.  Another strange thing is a few days ago the phones showed up in 'show cdp neighbor' from the switch.  Now, they do not.Now, if I take that phone to 2960 switch connect it, it will power on and work without issue.I've tried just about every setting I can think of on the 2960-X port to try and make this work but I can't get it to work.Has anyone seen a similar issue like this before?  Know of a solution/work around?Summary....Phones will not work when connected to

The analytics page is confusing. Company Numbers - only gives number of inbound calls to number of answered for inbound calls - this includes weekend and off hour.Performance Reports - gives extension only inbound and outbound call numbers, but does not gives the calls answered for inbound and outbound separately.Quality of Service - has filter to separate inbound and outbound calls and indicate which ones are answered or missed. But does not have an option to export the data.The report I'm looking for is...Inbound calls# with the number of inbound calls answered and missedOutbound calls# with the number of Outbound calls answered and missed And be able to select filter for company number, call group, or extension based.

I've installed the PLT Hub application and disabled auto answer. It is still happening ONLY in the RingCentral application. Regular cell phone calls do not auto answer. I even disabled all of the "sensors" on the 5200 and it sill answers calls. It will even answer a new call and disconnect a current call.Thank you!
