RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

When I go to sent messages and find my fax sent I do not see a way to resend. It should be in the options on the left to resend or at least on the same list to forward the message.

Can we use only extension on Polycom VVX350 Business IP Phone to use on internal use? This is our requirement

I've had some users get an "internal server error" message while in conference calls. These calls have involved users within the RingCentral app. One user would hear the message and the others would hear silence. After the message it disconnects the conference. Can someone explain what's happening? Is there a fix?

We have a user who is monitoring and answering calls for their boss - and this works fine for them - we have the RC settings and permissions all set up correctly.However, if the boss is on a call with someone and decides to conference in another individual using the Conference soft key on his phone, her phone rings when the boss calls to add the new participant to the call - like it is a new incoming call. It is very odd. And on caller ID, she sees the phone number of the original participant on the call while the phone rings.For the user - she does not know if it is a new call or if he is adding another caller to his current call. She has accidentally intercepted several of his conference calls. The boss has a Cisco 8861 and the user has a Polycom 450.In IT, we reproduced this issue using a Cisco 8861 and a Polycom 350.

I have multiple people in my office when they transfer an outside call. We have no way of seeing who is transferring the and we have no idea that the call is a transfer or just someone calling from the office. Again a feature we were told we would have but no, and no one in CS can understand the problem or even remotely help with the situation.

Is there any info on when RingCentral meetings on MacOS will introduce compatibility with GoPro webcam software?

I just found out you can use a call queue number as outbound CALLS caller ID, but can't use it for SMS outbound text caller ID... seems kind of silly

How do you answer and hang up calls from the Plantronics headset? We are new to RC and will be going live with the new phone system soon. I need to be able to answer calls without logging back into my computer if it went to sleep. I have already downloaded the the Plantronics Hub software and updated the firmware on the headset. This didn't help. Please advise. We are running Version: 20.4.10.284 Web, 20.4.11.2558 Windows

We want to set up a 'office closed line' extension where users call in and check if an office will be open or not. If an office is closed to to inclement weather we need a way that staff can check the status of their office.

We are currently experiencing pretty choppy phone calls. This only happens when we have inbound/outbound calls. When we talk to other people on RingCentral everything seems fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

RC Classic Version: 20.2.30 (E. 7.1.8)I am barely able to hear anyone on my meetings, even with my headphone, computer, and RC volumes all the way up. This had never been an issue until an update that happened yesterday.It appears that the volume slider in RC has tied itself to my computer volume slider. If I slide the RC volume to 100%, it is still quiet, but all of my computer noises are extremely loud (I have to go into the sound mixer and adjust system sounds to be lower).Troubleshooting steps taken:-Trying RC Meetings instead of RC Classic-Uninstalling RC Meetings and trying RC Classic-Uninstalling both RC Meetings and RC Classic, reinstalling just RC Classic-Toggling all audio checkbox options on and off

People call my RingCentral number have been getting this message all day. I am in Vancouver, Canada. I called into RingCentral and they can't fix the problem. Quite frustrating.

At the moment only the main fax sender/recipient will display the company fax number on outgoing fax messages. For every other user that sends a fax, the main phone number will be displayed instead of a fax number.This needs to be updated as soon as possible. It is an essential feature for multiple fax users, especially where a fax response is needed.

Why isn't the time out feature, user friendly? I don't understand why we are all pigeon-holed into the same security circle. Everyone's company operates on different levels/hours/time strategies. I would like to be able to configure how long the time out feature will wait before it kicks on. Or, at least another option (such as shut off) instead of the program being set at your standards. I am at my desk most of the day but switch back and forth on different projects. And then I shut down the computer before leaving. I am required to run call logs while I'm here. When I configure the call log and have to stop to check something else, it is a HUGE inconvenience to come back to my call log to find that I have been bumped out of the system and have to enter all of the parameters, again!! And then find out where in the log that I had left off. Please change this!!

Hello,This is a feature-add request. My organization wants to be able to identify cell meeting call-ins more quickly by name (not manually changing their name).All of our call-in people are RingCentral users, so the feature I am requesting would be for RingCentral to check the cellphone number of someone calling in, and if that number has been added to a RC profile, display the name of the person.Alternatively, if this is too complicated a feature, the ability to go into guest user phone numbers and manually set display names in RC so that when those numbers do call into meetings their name shows would be a good #2 solution.Thanks,

Can either the built in speakers for a laptop or the internal speaker in a workstation produce an adjustable ringer sound and not my USB headset when a call comes in? I don't always wear my headset and the ringer cannot be heard sometimes. Can the ringer sound only go to the internal speaker of a workstation, the built in speakers of a laptop or an external speaker so you know when a call comes in? Does this make sense?

We're in the process of getting ready to roll out the fax function of RingCentral, starting with outbound faxing first [baby steps!]. While testing and fiddling with how we wanted it to look and feel, I would send test faxes, and then receive a Fax Message Transmission Result to my own email. So far, so good. I then finalized the configuration [I thought] and assigned the various fax lines their own email addresses. I also added user email addresses to each fax line [department-based] in preparation for their use. Now when I send a fax, the Transmission Result email is only going to the email address associated with the fax line, and not the actual sender [in this case, me]. Is there a way to change this? If you have 50 people associated with a given fax line, I don't want to necessarily have to give them all access to that email account. Or am I stuck? Suggestions certainly welcome!

I am trying to set up Call Handling to forward all calls from certain states (using area codes) to a particular extension. I know I can do this by adding an advanced call handling option, but can I bulk import the area codes I want somehow? One at a time, for over 300 area codes will be horrible. Thanks.

I know how to submit the update so our caller id name is updated in CNAM...but does anyone have any tips on how I can go about updating caller ID on other databases for carriers?For example, a few months back I resent the caller ID name per the instructions and now when I check the CNAM database, it's updated there...but when I call my cellphone it still gives a different name. (luckily the name is still something that makes it clear that it's the organization I work for...we updated CNAM to "BBB" but the callerid on my cell from various numbers show up as "better bus bru" , "Bbb ctrl dispute", "Better Business", etc. We have had most of our numbers for years, but newer numbers we have added from ringcentral will sometimes show old people/names even though they don't have anything associated in CNAM.Any tips would be much appreciated!

I would like to have an option to be able to disable the Call Waiting tone when using the RC Phone app. I would like to keep the pop-up, but not have the Call Waiting tone in my ear when a second call comes in.

When my mobile rings through the Ring Central app. There is a great delay in the call being connected after answering. I have to say "hello" three times before I hear the caller. It is rather frustrating!

Is the RC for Windows Phone application going to be sunset and replaced by RC Classic (Glip)? I thought I remembered hearing this last year and wanted to ask if there was an update.

Hello,I we just got setup with a couple of Cisco phones and I setup some speed dials but they continually alternate between the display name and blf2649580228 or similar numbers. I tried to go in and delete the speed dials but when I do there is no information listed in the speed dial location? I have rebooted the phone so not sure what else to do.
