what is the complex password when a yealink is provisioned on RC? I recall it seems to start with pwdxxxadmn something like that.

Using Polycom VVX450 phones and We have 4 park locations created on Polycom VVX450.When it works, All of the five phones light up when a call is parked and any one of those pones can retrieve the parked call. When it does not work, a few times a daySome callers are getting stuck in a park location with no presence light notifying they are parked on any five phones and unable to retrieve i, unless we open the Ring central software it is seen.It happens occasionally and unable to pin point it. We have had a case created since 7/20/2020 and support is absolutely no help.Has anyone experienced this issue?do you have a recommendation on how to narrow down the cause?

We are using the new LOB analytics page and liking what we see. One question that we want to answer is when a call is missed (unanswered/goes to voicemail), was the person on another call at the time that they did not answer. How can we find this information?

Please refer to Case # 14752495When retrieving voice messages via the phone (not in an app or website) we need the call automated attendant to announce the time of the call AND THE CALLER ID OF THE CALLER leaving the message. We are a medical office, and we NEED to know the ID of the caller without having to log into a computer app or website every time to retrieve messages. We NEED this function as we had it previously.

Our company used Zapier + Ring Central to send out an SMS to customers who request information. Other than the name of the customer, the SMS is identical each time. Does anyone know if this gets blocked by carriers?

The keyboard shortcuts in the Ringcentral App use several of the same shortcuts as Chromebooks do. Is there a way to turn them off or change them for Ringcentral?

I have some employees that only use the mobil app function and others that use the web functions. We had an employee depart our company some time ago, and her ext was reassigned to another employee. The web Ring Central shows this extension belonging to the new employee, but the mobil app shows the old employee assigned to that ext.Interestingly all other changes flow through both apps. Is this a glitch? If so, how do I fix it? Any help wpould be appreciated! Thank you.

We have successfully integrated ring central with dynamics 365. And also add form control also on phone field. but when we are clicking on call dial icon we are not able to dial a call and number is disappearing automatically from call dialer.

I just sent a fax and was going to print the cover page. However, when I attempted to do so, RingCentral is downloading it as a TIFF instead of a PDF. It has ALWAYS downloaded as a PDF since 2016 when we started using RingCentral!! I tried to access faxes I sent last week and they are all trying to open in TIFF format. WHAT HAPPENED?!?

We have an issue after an install of the RC Desktop App (22.1.20.any) MSI, it will work fine the same day as the install was done, but by the next morning 40% of the installs will not open RC. The only way to reslove this to do deploy the same MSI package again and then they are fine. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Hi. I am looking for a way to essentially set up a "speakerphone button" (or control-key shortcut) when using RingCentral app on my desktop. Normally, I like to use the headset mic and earphones. But sometimes I'd like to use a "speakerphone" --- actually my Logitech webcam mic and the computer speakers.RingCentral remembers the different default audio mic/speaker source between phone and video. I'd like to have a way in phone settings to set default audio sourceA and default audio sourceB. I'd like to have a one-button toggle to switch between the headset mic/speakers and the Logitech mic/computer speakers while on a live phone call.I know on a live call I can hit the 'audio button' and then select a different mic/speaker source. But this is cumbersome on a live call.

Hello,since I use RC desktop app, I cannot move and share files directly in the message window (via drag & drop). It was possible in the prior browser version, but not in the app. Now I have to select every file via the attachment button and choose path. Another problem here: I cannot select any files from our business server to be shared on RC. Why is that? Sorry I'm a noob and my co-workers couldn't help at all. Thanks for any reply!Laura

I have my phone forwarded to one of my coworkers while I am out of the office. While testing this, he tried to forward me back to my voicemail but it did not work. There may be times that a caller gets to him, but prefers to leave a voicemail for me. How do we do this?

We have a number of employees that review our incoming faxes. We are running into an issue with some not being able to login. If there's a limitation on the number of devices that can log into Ring Central Fax? If so, how do I manage the devices so I can make sure only the employees that need access can log in?Thank you

I'm having an issue where basically both Voice and RingCentral are trying to ring at the same time regardless of the actual source of the call and my personal calls are getting logged into my RingCentral's call history. I found this older help article that seems to outline this issue, but I'm not sure if the settings have changed because I'm not seeing these options? Occasionally someone will be on an active call, but their status will still read available. Normally they will be red and status will say "On a call."I have to go to the HUD to make sure someone is available. Why does the status sometimes fail to update when on a call?

Hello, as of lately, I am not able to receive calls. The "accept queue calls" toggle switch does not even show up for me personally. I am not sure if this is a bug or an administrative setting that is switched off for me. Any help is appreciated here. Thank you.

I have a suggestion. Please remove the automated helper when calling in to tech support. I had an issue regarding paging and the automated system started talking about my custom call settings and hours and was asking to remove them. If that would have occurred it would have caused major issues. The automated system said those settings are why my phone was not working, and suggested removing them. I knew better, but I hate to think of one of your other customers calling in and removing all their call queue settings for no reason and creating bigger issues because the IVR suggested it. I called in a week ago for a separate issue, and the automated system suggested the same thing. I have always received great support from the live agents, the IVR helper is bad and should be removed. I have an unusual issue with multiple users of the RingCentral Desktop App using the exact same version of the app (app version shown via Help - About). One staff member can see a host of options while another user can see only a few when click into Settings. I thought perhaps there was a View More or some other setting somewhere but I cannot find it. It may be that one or more users have a corrupt Windows but it could be simply they installed so many RC App upgrades over time the registry keys are corrupt for the RC app. Is there an uninstall script when Uninstall does not clean up? Or is there an actual show all button somewhere? One example (of many) would be the HD checkbox not being visible for one of the users.

In Mac OSX, natively, a user can use Option + Left arrow or Option + Right arrow to move the cursor back one word or forward one word. That's a consistent behavior in every application on the Mac.RingCentral App introduced additional keyboard shortcuts in 22.1.20.341 Web, 22.1.11.2682 Mac (Intel) release that changes the native behavior. In RingCentral App, using Option + Left arrow takes a user back in history. If a user is typing a message and wants to go back a word, they'd use Option + Left arrow, but RingCentral App will take them to the previous history. That means, the user can't use native OSX shortcut and their attention is diverted away from typing the message on to the previous history. What a terrible behavior and choice of keyboard shortcuts!Can you revert the keyboard shortcut for Option + Left arrow/Right arrow OR give users the ability to choose their shortcut for actions OR remove shortcuts a user feels unnecessary? You can no longer navigate forward and backward words with Option + Left or Right because RC has changed this to be used for non-disableable app navigation shortcuts. I cannot express how frustrating this is as someone who uses these hotkeys constantly and has never experienced an app that overrode those keys when focused on a text box. This should be reverted or given an enable/disable option immediately.This also violates Apple's Human Interface Guidelines which states"Use the Option key as a modifier sparingly.""Avoid creating a new shortcut by adding a modifier to an existing unrelated shortcut."

This may be a newbie question but I'm trying to find a way to view just incoming text messages. I'm using the desktop app and have tried the browser as well but no luck. I can see all the messages I send and receive in the sms section but only want to see received messages.

Hi, our office is brand new to Ring Central. Is there a way to limit who can call you? For example, I only want members of my team to be able to reach me directly - not all Ring Central users across campus.

Why does the ask first on the dial pad not work for all phones in my company? I am either thinking it is 1. They are not using app 2. They are using the VVX250 phones. For the people it does not work for I hit ask first and then it will just hang up on them. Can someone give me a answer please....

We have a lot of stability and network quality issues with the RC application and taking/receiving phone calls. After spending an extensive amount of time troubleshooting we have concluded that this is because the application is forcing the phone to toggle between WIFI and mobile data based on the available signal or lack there of. Turning the WIFI off on the mobile seems to work but is certainly not a long term solution as other apps and phone back-ups require WIFI to function.The only options you have are:1. WIFI or Mobile Data2. WIFI or Carrier Minutes 3. Carrier Minutes Only (Which essentially bypasses the application and full functionality including phone recordings will no longer work.There needs to be a 4th option here for the mobile phone RC application to include: Mobile Data only.
