SMS

I have successfully uploaded a list of contacts, I then created a group, but, I can not figure out how to send an SMS to the group.If I search for the group name, all of the contacts in that group show up, but, I can not send to all of them without clicking each individual member.Am I doing something wrong?

I knew not to upgrade again. This was what happened during the last upgrade and today, in the new, I can no longer send message to more than 10 people as separate texts. Last time I fixed it by re-installing the old version - can you please send it over? (Old as in at least two prior)REQUESTS/NEEDS:1) Would love to create a GROUP for my contacts. Sending texts to 50 customers at a time is not efficient. If I could place all my customers into one GROUP, sending separately, that's preferred. (ie: Group A - 100 customers; Group B - 150 customers; etc)2) If we can't have option 1, I need to go back to sending 50 texts at at time, separately.Until then, please send me a link to the OLD version that allows me to send 50 at a time seperately.thank you!

With the recent updates you have made to your phone and desktop apps surrounding the SMS/texting functionality, all of the features that we needed and loved about the apps were removed. You can no longer mark as unread, visibility, search functionality and location, meaning where you have to go to text from, are all harder to find, get to and respond with, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, one of the best features that was removed was your ability to archive or "close the conversation". Due to the loss of functionality with your texting you have made it extremely difficult for our teams to use the app effectively and therefore we are having to look for other solutions to meet our needs. There is already a lot of missing functionality over some other providers, such as shared/departmental texting/sms. and now, other then statistical data etc, google voice has more functionality. Is there a way to revert back to the old versions?

Is it possible to use Ringcentral api's within apex / flows to automate sms messages -single and bulk messages?

We have a small office and we got this because I do alot of texting with our customers and outside workers. The ring Central app is horrible if you are like me and are not text/messaging Teams or the two other people with Ring Central phones. I have to go through a bunch of steps just to get to the texts and calls. And now I am group messaging my works and I can only do this through the app on my phone and not the one on my computer. The other app was sooo much better the one with the phone Icon.. I don't know who the hell came up with this one. Maybe I am doing something wrong and if I am let me know

Wondering if there is an option somewhere, or if not plans to implement the ability to see the number a text message was sent to in email notifications for text messages. We have quite a few Company numbers that all go to a SMS dump via the Auto Receptionist general settings since we don't want our sites to receive texts. Those email notifications only ever show the user, not the number the message was sent to. This would be helpful for diagnosing where miscommunications are happening in the field.A log of SMS activity company-wide would be majorly beneficial as well.US Company, RingCentral Office Standard.

Yesterday, may 16th, most of my text messages disappeared, i wanna know how you guys control the amount of text messages and how can i prevent such situations in future. Also i see messages only in RC Phone and your "new" app with letter R don't even show any text messages, only call log. Another bug?

We have the ringcentral desktop app for texting. We can not get links to go through. How can this be done? We need the ringcentral app to text back and forth with for Text, Pictures and Bitly Links

Has this feature been taken down? I used to be able to send group messages out to people not in my directory as separate text threads, now they are all grouped together. This is for gathering information for potential applicants and I don't want to be sharing peoples' phone numbers with others. As recent as a week ago it gave me a "warning" that it would be sent out as separate messages-which is the whole point for me anyway-then yesterday it is no longer is doing so.

USA, Desktop - RingCentral Phone, Latest VersionI want to add recipients to a SMS/Text message I plan on sending out to many people. These recipients are not in my address book. Previously, I added recipients individually.I just tried to copy/paste the recipients from a column in my excel, hoping it would individualize each number. It didn't do this. It created one endless #.Is there a way to do this?Is there a way to create a group for those who I've added?Is there a way to make sure the SMS/Texts are sent individually, and not as a group Text?Thank yo.

Allow copying and pasting multiple contact numbers. I have tried placing a comma after each contact number, it's not going through.

Account Type U.SI am using ring the central phone app on a Vodafone 4G cell phone and I am unable to send texts. when I called the tech support they said Vodafone does not support texting which the sales team never shared initially. Now what's funny is a friend who referred me to ring central was sitting in the same room with me and we both were using the same network to send texts and he was able to but not me. I asked the technical support guy real time that how is this possible and his answer was he is lucky, that's why. Really??

So the sms function stopped working for some reason through the google chrome extension below is a screenshot of the error it says it needs a valid phone number. ( I am the Admin)I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app rebooting the computer & uninstalling rebooting on my mobile device and I'm still getting the same error i've tried multiple phone numbers and still the same error.so I don't understand why it's not working I tried using the chat service with ringcentral and they were not able to help me and was escalated to another department. Is there anybody out therethat can help!

I cannot see the text message I received. I only received the text notification and was I able to reply but after I moved to another tab I cannot see it anymore

My texting on the desktop application working intermittently today. Any suggestions? Not working now - or a few hours ago - was working in the interim though. Frustrating!

We have about 30 numbers on our account. We would like to disable the SMS feature for certain numbers on our account. We do not want to receive SMS messages to certain numbers where there isn't anyone to answer.

I am logged into my account online & I can't find text messages anywhere. I have both sent & received text messages via RingCentral. I see the "Messages" area where I can listen to voicemail & view incoming faxes. I cannot find text messages anywhere. I can view them in the app, but not while logged in on the website. HELP! U.S. customer here. Lately, I've been getting text messages sent to our phone numbers. I don't remember setting this up and/or enabling it. 1) How do people get the impression they can text the number? 2) When they do text, where does the text go? I can't find them in the system anywhere! I only know I'm getting them because I get an email notification when one comes through.

Has anyone been able to reach Ring Central reps? I've had a ticket opened, called in, and have a chat ongoing and have yet to reach anyone

I have a US account.As of Thursday the March 12th I stopped being able to receive text messages back. After doing some testing we discovered that we can no longer send text messages to the main number. Apparently I can text to one of the assigned numbers but not the main number.When I text out the main number is number that people are asked to respond with.I do not want people to see my assigned number. Please advise.No updates made on our side just randomly stopped working.

Is there anyway to add a "Group/Mass Texting option" ... Example: Sending a text message blast to several cell phone numbers at once. Similar to TextUs.

Company is in US. We are working with client nationwide. 90% of clients are out of state and we need to communicate with clients via text, fax or phone. Company is in great loss if we cannot refer back to our texts and conversations. Therefore, as an admin it is very important to export compliance report. However, since last March I have been calling and chatting and asking support. But as of today i am not getting any support or help. Past 1 year, I have been told same thing, this is a known issue and we are working on it. Prior to last March of 2019 I was able to export the compliance report without any issue but now seems like this issue is taking forever. Please let me know if there is any other way we can export the compliance report or what other options we have. we have about 50 people and communicating daily to out of state clients. Company is in US and taking a great loss without this future.
