Anyone else getting an email notification of a voicemail BEFORE the message is displayed in the RC phone? I've had voicemails in the app delayed by hours and sometimes it doesn't arrive in the phone until the next day, but the email arrived. I've had other notification problems and was told to Purge the data, but that doesn't seem to affect the voicemails (it's also a nuisance).Anyone else have this happen? Is there a setting I could change to get the voicemails in the app more timely?Thanks!

Hey there all,I recently provisioned and set up a number of Polycom VVX 411 phones here at our office. We are also using the Polycom Color Expansion Module (or sidecar) to more easily transfer calls to other phones in our system. With our previous provider, the BLF aspect of the sidecar was active and would allow of us to see when other phones were currently on a call.However, once we transferred to RingCentral, this feature does not seem to be working as it should. The extensions still show up properly on the sidecar, but it does not seem to be utilizing the BLF aspect, as the keys do not light up when one of said extensions answers a call. I have added all our phones into the same ring group, so all incoming calls can be answered by any of our employees, but the BLF keys are not lighting up nonetheless.Does anyone have an idea on how to activate the BLF function of the line keys? Any assistance or suggestions with this issue would be most appreciated.

In order to get the MVP Client to work on our enterprise network, will we need to setup a policy to bypass our proxy servers for *.ringcentral.com?

Second, please excuse my English.I’m having a major issue installing RingCentral on multiple PCs in my company, and maybe others have seen this before.On Windows 10 computers, I install ringcentral.exe (not the MSI), and all features work fine (Meetings, Chat, etc.) — except for calling. Calls don’t work in the desktop app but do work through the Chrome extension.When I try making calls from the web app at app.ringcentral.com, I have the same problem. This has been going on for over a month and RC support can't seem to resolve what seems like a simple whitelist issue. they keep saying they have escalated the issue. that is if we can get anyone to talk to us at all. Today like many days SMS is not working at all. Case #14006406.

Ringcentral gave me a digital license and 858 phone number when I started at my last firm. I got tired of making my boss rich and started my own firm. He was kind enough to let me keep my number and transfer it to a new RingCentral account with my own company. (so generous of him!) After opening my own RC account and transferring that digital number to new RC account, the name of my last company still shows up when I call using that number. I've changed this to my company name in every way possible via admin settings. Any suggestions?

We have 2 pc and single RC phone number, is it possible to receive calls on both the pc at once if we logon to softphones on both devices with same phone numbers?Is there any setting required for the same as currently we are receiving calls only in one device

Greetings,My boss is receiving phone calls and voicemails from a line that is unassigned to any of our users. I was assigned previously until the user was off boarded. Instead of the calls to that line being redirected to our call center lines or main line it is going to my boss. My team uses ring central to deliver service and support for an enterprise application. When we have an outage, I'd like for a way to quickly add a new prompt in the IVR and send them to a pre-recorded message, let them leave a voicemail, and send the visual voicemail to an inbox. Any theories on how I could implement this in my system?The key detail for me is that I'd like to do this without manually reconfiguring everything. I'm thinking of using the API to automate the configuration changes necessary.

I hear a continuous beep when not connected to a call. What is this and how do I get rid of this?

I have been trying to get a decent quality IVR prompt. It sounds good when I play them in the admin panel, but when I actually call my business to check functionality they sound like crap. RC help said it's because it's VOIP and packets and stuff. But I'm just checking if there is some file type and settings that work better.WAV or MP3? And what output quality for either? Our main phone number goes directly to a ring group that rings all extensions. Unfortunately, many people text us at this number (mostly spam). How do I reply text from that number to “STOP”? I can only reply from my local extension, not the main number.

RingCentral Mobile App has a bug when receiving an inbound call using headphones. It will always default the Mobile speaker first then manually have to set the audio. Outbound calls work good with the headphone.

We have a person out on maternity leave for several months. Her manager wanted her calls forwarded to a coworker. What we discovered is that only when the coworker is logged in and able to answer the phone are the calls forwarded, if not, the calls revert back to the voicemail of the person on maternity leave. I do not understand this. If the person is out why would the call go back to their voicemail, it should go the coworkers voicemail where the calls are being forwarded to, as though the caller called the coworker directly.We also discovered that if the coworker is using the Glip phone, calls cannot be forwarded because the Glip phone is not considered a true end point, per RingCentral Technical Support. I don't understand this either why am able to call the coworker on their Glip phone but I cannot forward calls to them on their Glip phone?

Our users work off a dashboard of patients, each patient listed with name and phone number. Each of our users has their own RingCentral account and individual phone number. When a user clicks a patients number (from the dashboard), the application (browswer based) utilizes the RingCentral.Net NuGet package and fills out the "MakeRingOutRequest" object with the RingCentral number of the user in the "from" field, the number of the patient in the "to" field, and then the RestClient is called via ...restClient.Restapi().Account().Extension().RingOut().Post(makeRingOutRequestObject); This all works fine in the Sandbox account, but not in production. In production, if I use my mobile phone number (rather than my RingCentral account number) to make the call, everything works fine as well. Any ideas on how to resolve this would be great.

From an extension, in the Call Forwarding and Voicemail | Work Hours rules, I am attempting to forward a call to multiple external "Numbers" (not "Coworkers"). I have it set to "Ring all at once" and have 5 numbers listed. These numbers are cell phones.

Is there a way to have an extension automatically be "available" at a specific time? Like, is there a timer that can be set so an extension will automatically go from DND to Available?

Hello all,First time poster, and new RingCentral customer. I have a question about the setup and provisioning process for Polycom phones that are currently in service with another provider.My organization is transferring our main number, and therefore all our extension deskphones, to RC on November 30th. I am currently building out our phone and user directories, but I am not sure how exactly running the Setup and Provision process for our deskphones will affect our current service. Once the devices in our system are provisioned, will that interfere with our ability to use the Polycoms during the interim period before Nov 30th? Should I instead wait until the transfer has actually finished to provision?Any information on this matter would be most appreciated. Thanks!Sincerely,Nick Newman

I have RC MVP with Nice Incontact CXOne Contact Center. I have implemented the IVR within CXOne to route calls into my contact center ques. I want to allow customers to Dial By Name or Extension as a Menu Option. I cannot figure out how to integrate the RC Phone Directory and allow Dial By Name/Extension via MVP.
