I am confused about some of the data being sent back by the API for a detailed call log for extension to extension calls. Here's what I am getting:Extension 100 belongs to Joe, Extension 101 belong to Jane.Joe dials Jane by dialing extension 101. This creates call log data that I'm pulling through the API.The call has four legs. The first three are more or less understandable, but there is an odd anomaly on the final leg.In the final leg, I'm reading the response from the API with leg.from.name and leg.from.extensionnumber. If the call was from Joe at ext 100, you'd expect to see leg.from.extensionnumber have 100 for a value and leg.from.name to have "Joe" for its value.This is NOT what I'm seeing in the final leg of extension to extension calls. What I'm seeing on the final leg is leg.from.extensionnumber at 100, but I'm seeing leg.from.name showing "Jane". Jane does not own extension 100. I do not get this. At all. I want to understand

The issue begins with a person receiving a phone call through a call queue. In the time between when the phone starts ringing and they pickup the call, the caller begins typing an extension. Before the caller finishes dialing the extension, the call is picked up. The call is answered and then gets routed to someone else in the company. However the person who first picked up the call is stuck. In the corner of the RC Phone app and mobile RC Glip app it shows "Switch Call to This Device". However when they click that, nothing happens. In the HUD it shows that person on a call. But they are unable to actually pickup the call and it interferes with other call functions. This happens on both mobile and desktop softphone.This continues even after they quit the app and relaunch. Even after they uninstall and re-install. And even after deactivating their account and re-activating.Per Tier 3 support, this is a known issue per Bug File CNV-37586.

Not entirely sure if this a RC issue or Windows, but when on Windows you have an incoming call, a toast notification pops up, but disappears very quickly, while it's still ringing (so it's not just the other person hanging up). Is there a way to change the length of time the notification pops up for?While I remember, the option to answer/ignore would be good on the notification itself (thinking a la Teams).

According to Eduardo in RC Support, "Unfortunately, we don't have any options to turn that off from the RC App".Here's my feature request: only prompt me if I don't have a physical location in my settings, otherwise don't prompt, annoying.

My understanding is that with the RC SMS feature, a user can text a client/customer and it will come from that specific user's direct number.We are a law firm that screens ALL calls coming into our attorney's phones. We want our attorneys to be able to text their clients, but do not want the clients to be able to call that number back. Has anyone solved a similar problem?I was thinking that maybe any inbound call to the attorney's number from out of office could be forwarded to the operator but I am not sure how to do that. Also open to other solutions. Thank you!

We can't integrate our customer/patient database from our Setmore app to Ring Central! Strange there is some kind of integration tools for it, but there is no way to simply take our setmore database and plop it into ring central so we can call and text patients from there!

How can we utilize webhooks to get this kind of notification? The telephony session hook does not appear to provide this data?

We have a user who reports that she uses the RC Meetings integration in Slack which intermittently stops working. It then times out the session and she's prompted with "click here to log in". Anyone else experience this?

currently using call que groups and after 15 minutes of someone waiting on hold they are sent to voicemail.  it causes the customers frustration.  they do not want to wait on hiold for 15 minutes and then be sent to voicemail.  is there way to add more minutes or turn the option off so no one goes to voicemail during office hours

It is possible to launch the RC app and initiate actions via uri schemes (https://developers.ringcentral.com/guide/basics/uri-schemes). E.g. it is possible to initiate a phone call from via a link in a web page.Is it possible to start a video call via such uri scheme?It should launch the rcapp and behave just like clicking the "Start video call" button on a contact profile - ringing that contact for a video call.This would allow our users to launch video calls from a web page, without looking up contact information in the RC app.

All posts can be deleted in the messaging conversation list except video call history. This is obviously an oversight. I do not want my conversation list cluttered with my video call history. I don't want to add an emoji or bookmark the video call history post which are the only options.

I'm training new staff for the first time in several years; and we're using the Ring Central Desktop App which is nice.  But, it doesn't have HUD.  This feature is ESSENTIAL when training telephone support staff.  Especially now that no one is in the same office with anyone else.  It's absolutely ESSENTIAL to be able to monitor who's on a call and then to "monitor" that conversation so managers can coach or take over the call.  I installed the old Ring Central Phone App along side the new one for now.  But, please add HUD to the Ring Central Desktop App.

I recently applied for a high volume sms account as I work for a company that wants to use ring central more for it's mass text messages. A few days back, I got a message saying that I the number I use for programmable messages was enabled for this:Now this is the number (+12815170550) I used for sending messages, it is not the number I login with. I know there is a way to tie multiple phone numbers to one account, and that is a feature I am interested in. However currently I am trying to learn more about sending mass sms messages, and when I login to the link in the email (https://ringcentral-a2p-sms.herokuapp.com/) I get the following message:"It seems your account does not have a phone number which is provisioned for High Volume SMS. Please follow the instructions below to acquire a number: "Was my number enabled? Was the number enabled on a different account? Is there something else I need to do? Any advice would be helpful.

We are polling call logs and extension data in our App.We have noticed that the refresh tokens expiry after 7 days. What this means is that the customer must login and re-authenticate every week for the integration to continue working.Is this the customer experience RingCentral expect?

Around 12:30PM ET the desktop RC app stopped showing unread message counts for Direct Messages and Teams. The pop-up still occurs, but if you don't click on it in time, then you don't know in which Direct Message or Team chat to go looking for it and all other missed updates.It's similar to the Oct 13th issues, except today the message are there , but we just don't know new ones arrived or where to look for them.

Hi there, I have Super Admin privileges for our account and I am logged into the main account. However there is a user listed on our team in the desktop app that does not work here anymore. Her email is not attached to any extension, nor is it even on our list of users on the admin portal.I cannot edit/manage team members to remove her, I can't see any option to edit user profiles.It is extremely confusing for coworkers to see the option to contact someone who essentially does not exist (within our firm) anymore. Please help?

Most of our customers use other apps for messaging, chat, teams, etc. Is there a way to suppress the RingCentral features in the New Desktop App? The old App was slimmer and simpler, since customers were not using the additional messaging/chat features. The new App is too cluttered.

My teams utilize the team description and some people can see it on the right hand side where you can see all of the members etc. My description is only at the very top of the entire conversation and it causes me to forget to update it.How can I get it pinned to the "details" section of the chat?

My account can only have a maximum ring group user count of 30, I talked to tech support and they said the max was 50 but wasn't able to provide to me, even if I upgraded my account. Is there a way to increase my ring group count?

I am currently using the message store export (/restapi/v1.0/account/~/message-store-report) to generate exports for fax and sms. Under normal circumstances, this will generate 2 zip files (one with the report logs in json format, and one with the attachments). Due to the nature of our app, we only need the report logs in json format, and not the attachments. Is there a way to create a message store export without the attachments?I realize that I can just ignore the attachments on my end. But the real reason behind this is to speed up the report generation on the RingCentral side. Sometimes we export a report for the date range of a week or a month, and it takes close to an hour if not longer. I don't know how it works behind the scenes, but my suspicion is that the long waiting times are due to the large amount of content (attachments) that are being streamed into the zip file. My hope is that generating this report without attachments will be faster and also create less load on t

Hello,I am encountering the following error when I login on the Desktop client. I can log into the web app without issue as long as I don't checkbox the remember me option in the web client login.
