Changing Announcement without using the portal

Hi, I have a client who has an activity line where, depending on the weather, they may or may not have that activity at the facility that day. They want the ability for two different employees to change the recorded announcement (no voicemail on this extension) on the fly, as things change. These users do not want to have to login to the portal to do so but would prefer to change the announcements by phone. Is there a way to do this?

When somebody opts-in or opts-out of SMS for my business, how can I send that info back to my service?

Hi, we currently have our environment set up so that when a user replies "stop" they are opted-out of Ringcentral automatically. Can I somehow send this back to my service so that we can store this data on our end?I was thinking If I sent a text I can have my service look for a error code, but I don't see an error code specifically for opt-in scenarios. What's the best way to accomplish this?

Could you kindly add a space for typing the Recipient name and company in the mac fax app?

When sending faxes, we often have to include the name of the recipient and company or department for it to be routed to the appropriate individual in healthcare facilities with fax stations. Otherwise, our faxes get lost because there are no names or departments. Please add this space. Also, let us know if we need to update the app when the space is added..

How to get Call Log from my Contact Center API? It seems like Ring Central's Contact Center is powered by NICEincontact but completely separate system.

Hello, I would love some guidance around the Contact Center API. It seems like a whole different system, I have 3 questions:1 - Does my Contact Center have a Call Log Report somewhere in their API? I cannot find it in their endpoints, not sure if its called something else. https://developer.niceincontact.com/API2 - Alternatively, are the Contact Center Calls logged somewhere in the Ring Central MVP platform?3 - Can I use my RC App to connect to it? or is it a whole new system with separate processes? the NICEOne support is all under login and not very accessible. Integrate Call Queue SMS into CRM

I have searched for information on this, and while finding several good articles, nothing that quiet matches what we need.We are using SmartAdvocate as our CRM and have an integration for SMS. Integrating individual users into our CRM is not an issue. The challenge that we are having is that our clients like to send messages to our call queues and we would like these incoming messages to our call queues to also be added to the case notes in the CRM. I've tried to figure out how to create JWT's for these accounts, which is required by the CRM, but there does not appear to be an option. When I try to do a password reset and login as the queue, I get a message that the "Service is not Available" when setting a password.I am at a loss. There is probably some documentation on this somewhere, but I simply am not finding it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Read Message Permission

Hi , I am building a websocket api which can read in all call centre call data as well as voicemail. The final component is to be able to read in voice messages which requires me to have the read messages permission exercised. Are you able to tell me how to pass this requirement or alternatively manually graduate the app if this is not possible. Regards

Issue with SMS API - Inconsistent Message Delivery Without Error Codes

We are facing an issue with the SMS API where messages are inconsistently delivered to the intended recipients. While the receiver did receive some messages previously, we've now encountered a scenario where messages are not being received at all. Interestingly, in such cases, we do not receive any error codes in the logs; the messageStatus is consistently shown as "Queued."We've conducted troubleshooting efforts, including checking the RC inbox for any error signs or delivery issues, but everything appears to be functioning correctly from this end. Under normal circumstances, when using other services, if a message triggers a spam filter, it would at least be marked as "Undelivered." However, in our current situation, we're not observing any status changes that would indicate what happens after the message is queued.Given that some messages were successfully received before, is there a way to monitor or track these messages more effectively to understan

I have a dial tone but when I dial out i get the message "Invite request no response". I think the phone needs configuring but the default password doesn't work so I can't complete the setup.

JWT Tokens for non-developer users

We have developed a desktop application that individual users log into. We are making calls using the call-out function in the API as well as getting the user's devices, extension info, and subscribing for notifications for user call sessions, so it's very user-specific. I understand from the information at this link that users can only generate JWT tokens if they have a developer account, and the individual, end users don't have developer accounts - https://developers.ringcentral.com/guide/getting-started/create-credential:"JWT tokens are created exclusively within the RingCentral Developer Console. For this reason, JWT credentials can only be created by users who have a valid developer account or role."In the section about creating tokens on behalf of other users, it also mentions that they should be in the list of developers. If we're able to get JWTs for users who don't have developer accounts, that would be a good solution here. Please let us know if

Process for changing phone numbers under Manage Users has changed?

Sometime last week, there was a change made to the screen where you manage users. In the past, you could click on an existing record and update the name, phone number, or both. Now, the phone number field cannot be edited. So, you have to delete the existing record and add an entirely new one. This makes the entire process much more time consuming. Is there a setting or something we can change to make this editable?

We are getting complaints that customers are being routed to voicemail. Yet the queue members claim they are logged in and available. Where can I see the status of the queue members to verify they are logged in?

Why am I getting this error: TokenInvalid: OAU-213 (Token not found)?

I have an application that downloads recordings using the ruby sdk. I am unable to download any recordings and get an error: OAU-213 (Token not found). The token should be valid since it has not expired.Can anyone provide any insight why this might be happening?

Moving to New Tenant - No Devices Found

We tested our application in one tenant, then moved it to another tenant. When we list devices, none are found for the new extension IDs in the new tenant. Do we need to re-install the softphone for the device to be associated with the new tenant?

Change Salesforce CTI size?

Is is possible to change the size of the RingCentral utility in Salesforce or to pop it out? I have tried changing the height and width in the call center settings and in the app manager and neither one changed the size.

When do calls start to record?

We use ACR but when do calls start to record? We have calls with no recordings and we're wondering why is that. Does there need to be a connection to the receiving party before a call is recorded?Thanks

Ringcentral for Windows, prevent incoming calls from being separate Windows

I'm on Windows Desktop version 24.1.16.9318 and recently that or another new update makes it so incoming calls are a separate window. Every time this "feature" is reintroduced it forces me to use it, it always appears in my way and I'm sick of having to turn it off, I've probably disabled this anywhere between 5-10 times so far. Now I have no idea how to disable this. The below article is wrong, there is no use standalone window for phone calls in the Phone section. Disclaimer: I'm a new partner, decades of "telephony" and development experience. I have been trying since early January to learn if RingCX is a fit a customer, who serves the banking industry and has very specific call requirements. Candidly, the production sales/support team seems vastly disconnected from the dev/api team. If I'm relegated to what's shown, I've a growing feeling RingCentral isn't a fit.. I'm praying this group can change that.My client's needs can be broken into two categories: Call Control, and Call Reporting.Call Control:My client may not call any number belonging to a claim more than 7 times in 7 days. In addition, calls may not be made outside the local time hours of 8a-9p (time shall be evaluated by matching of area code the dialed number.. more below)My vision of the solution: Either natively or via api use & development, a dialed number is matched to claim via db lookup IF claim numbers have been dialed less than 7
