My company often posts attachments (usually pdfs saved on our network) and I have been unable to download them. The box pops up at the bottom of the screen but it will say "0/30Kb, paused". If I go to resume the download, it does nothing. It has only been doing it on my computer. I can open downloads on my phone or other office computers.

the phone contacts I had added in my softphone desktop app are not found in the ringcentral classic, glip or web app. Where did the go? this is very important. I don't have them in my iphone contacts list; but they are stored because when they call me glip recognizes the contact and shows up with the named I stored them with on the soft phone app. but when I look for them to dial they are not found/matched.

I am looking for comments and suggestions on using the Desktop app in an enterprise environment. Below I will cover some of the issues we are having.We are a new RC customer with 400 users. Our initial experiences with the Desktop app have been mixed. For example we have a branch that is using nothing but the desktop app. The main number rings to a ring group. The phones assigned do not all ring at the same time. Some do not even ring at all, but they might for the next call. We have made firewall adjusts onsite as per RC knowledge base articles. The other issue is that there seems to be no Admin install version of the MSI file. We have no problems with users being able to install without admin rights, but when you run the app a windows firewall exception notice comes up with DOES require admin rights. Since our users are not admins this presents a problem in Enterprise environments. As a work around I deployed a group policy that adds the following program path

When I add a job title for a user through https://service.ringcentral.com/application/users/, that job title is not added or synced up with the title in the RingCentral desktop app.

When i listen to a voicemail message, the system states the callback number as something like 555 billion, 123 million 456 thousand 7. I see no setting that would govern this and it just seems weird that this would ever be the behavior of the system. I opened case number 10634456 and it is now on a hold and i'm not expecting it is getting looked at.

We receive a lot of calls where there is silence on the other end. We have simultaneous ringing set up going to two different numbers, but both of us are seeing this problem.

I would love to add 3rd party software update support for RingCentral to my SCCM configuration. This would allow updates to the application to be delivered right alongside Windows Updates in my environment. I'm not sure if RingCentral supports this setup or not. To configuration SCCM to provide these updates, I would need the custom catalog download URL for the RingCentral Phone application.

We have been having a problem the last few weeks. The phone rings. You can see who the caller is but when you answer the call it's dead air. The call is logged. What could be causing this?

Short code massaging is NOT WORKING using the glip app and ringcentral phone app, SHORT CODE MESSAGING is NOT WORKING I cannot SEND/RECEIVE.

Would like to enable external customer to post requests directly onto an RC team Board. Can I do that?

When I try to type a text message in Glip (web browser version), somehow it is not recognizing all of my keystrokes. As a result, I am having to type the text in the browser's search bar and then copy and paste into the Glip text message. I believe that it is doing this on various devices, and it is not a problem when typing elsewhere in the browser, so it has to be something with Glip.It does not seem to be a problem when I am using Glip for inter-office messaging.How can I fix this problem?

Is there a way for administrators of our RingCentral application to retrieve glip chat history for a particular user? We need access to this information for employee relation concerns.

So I brought up the Ringcentral App (Windows 10) today and got a popup asking if I wanted to try out the beta. I went ahead and clicked OK and got a popup window to sign in. We use Google SSO and was in the process of doing that but got error saying the browser wasn't supported (my guess from 2FA - we use hardware USB keys and usually have to 'Try Another Way' for non Google apps). Anyway - I closed the windows to try again, but cannot find anywhere to access the beta version in any of the menus or screens. Is the popup the only way and if it doesn't work the first time you can't try it?

Hi,When trying to transfer calls through to colleagues I can only see that they are available, busy, do not disturb or invisible. It would be really useful for me to be able to see when users are actually on calls as well as busy.For instance if I have an important call that needs taking by a member of the sales team I know that they are on a call rather than just busy.Thanks,Briony

if the new ringcentral app is supposed to replace the phone app, then it needs to have the same features including the URI setup so i can click to have a phone number called when it has the TEL: url the old phone app has this, it is very weird that you don't have the same capability in this new app.

Starting yesterday my users will have their cell phone call dropped if they get a call through the RC app. I opened a case with them, but I can't imagine this is isolated just to my users. My current case number is 09661024. I know one user has an iPhone, not sure about the other. If the user is on an RC call and a call comes into the cell phone, the call isn't dropped. If she is on an RC call and another call comes in, she says the first RC call is dropped, but the tech support guy said the call wasn't. I believe the system just didn't think the call was dropped.

Is there a way to monitor Glip messages? I know its no longer called Glip but thats what it is to us.Also, I am an Admin on InContact but am unsure if I am on Glip, how can I check this?

I just dialed one number and it went through to a completely different number. I tried a second time and the same thing happened again. Never had this problem before.

Our team is having issues w/ a lot of calls being dropped. Is there a way to solve this?

The HUD is not refreshing. It shows people are on calls, when in actual fact the call is finished & they're not on a call any longer. The only resolution I can see is logging out of the app & then logging back

Since a recent update to 19.8.1 of the RC app (Glip), we can no longer see all our Teams. The number of Teams shown in the left-side navigator pane is controlled by the Preferences setting 'Max Conversations' (number; limit: 60) - itself a bit of obscure naming but acceptable. If we set this to a reasonable number such as 9, to avoid having to scroll the navigator excessively, only the 9 most recently active Teams are shown. Before the update we could click on the Teams category to see the full list in the main window but this now only collapses and expands the Teams category.Is there some other way to get to the full list? Hello RingCentral, today I have an issue pertaining to the deletion of tasks that perhaps interferes with the HIPAA setting.In my business, we started to integrate reoccurring tasks that repeat on a monthly, up to bi-monthly basis - however there is a problem. These tasks have been deleted off their respective chats automatically. I'd like to infer that it is because we have the HIPAA setting enabled and so past 30 days it would be automatically deleted to fulfill the setting rules.Is there anyway we can override that setting for specific chats/tasks/etc?It seems a bit off that we can 'create' a task that is reoccurring up to a year-basis, yet on the HIPAA setting it states TASKS are deleted after 30 days.And so I am here with this issue at my workplace, having to recreate the missing tasks in the mean time.Possible solution?
