If I'm in a text, VM, or phone window, is there a way to easily add the contact information for the person I'm texting, listening to, of calling?

Everyone is working remotely and does not have the ring central application on their phones. Is it possible to transfer calls directly from their phones instead of using the RingCentral app? We have some automation rules already created with their cell phone numbers and would prefer not to go reset all of it up.

After updating the desktop app in Windows 10 (latest update 20.1.0.38205) on three occasions, the HUD was not available. Right-clicking on the app and 'repairing' in Control Panel, fixed the issue, but I was wondering if others also had the same issue and if it is being addressed by RingCentral?Thank you,Peter

Has the trash bin icon been removed from the call history? I'm using iphone app. Looks like I can just delete one by one now, but I could have sworn there used to be a trash bin icon to delete all at once.

I am working at home for the first time and the app did not transfer with the laptop provided to me. I am able to get to the website and logged in, but unable to figure out how to a) download the desktop app and b) make/take calls. Can someone please help?

Hi, If I were to answer a call, can I transfer a call to a cellphone number(not RC number)?

Wee have found out from our customers (in person) that our phones have been ringing busy most of the time during the day. Our support ticket has been ignored and we have been forced to forward all of our customer calls to our Cell phones. I understand the bandwidth problems but this is crazy!

We have been experiencing issues with RC for the past 2 days - on the desktop app, outgoing messages are hit or miss on sending and it says "Calls Only." On the cellular App, it says "VoIP calling only" and is spotting with sending and receiving messages - anyone else experiencing this, and have a solution?

I have 4 lines displayed on my phone. I needed to change 3 names on the phone. I successfully changed 2, however the main line - line 1, did not change on my phone display but it changed in the settings. Is there a way to fix this? I did unplug phone and reboot, did not help changing the 1 line. I'm on hold with support for 30 minutes and not sure how long I can hold. Any assistance is helpful

US Account: Our business hours are set as 9 - 5. However, I don't always leave the office right at 5. In addition to our calls being forwarded to our on-call number after 5 each day, is it possible for the after-hours calls to also ring simultaneously to all of our office extensions, so if someone is still in the office, they can pick up the after hours call as well?

So I had a ring central that canceled in November 2018. I wanted to get my old number/account back. I chatted with an agent online and when I gave him the number, he couldnt find it in the database. I gave him my email address, and he found the number and advised I needed to get a new account created. I create a new account using the same email address as the previous account. I call back support and they cant find the number anywhere. I suggest a port, and he said according to the port they still have the number and are not able to complete the port, but yet my number doesnt show up in the database. Any suggestions???

there is an option from ringcentral portal to set caller id for local number, after I entered company name exactly the way i want it to appear, but it won't work. It only show the number when I do outbound call.Can ringcentral help me with this feature?Thanks.

I have proved that by letting calls ring through and not answering, they are showing up as refused calls in my system; can this be true?

It's been over 3 months we have been complaining about the sames thing, calls being dropped or clients getting message please enter your voicemail password" instead of getting our greeting. Every time I call to fix one thing they mess up another. Just yesterday we called again with the same issue about clients complaining that our line only rang once and called was then dropped. Mary the person who got our call at ring central now disconnected all our greetings and only 2 phones ring. I am ready to throw the ropes and leave them after almost 10 years.

Robocalls.Does the RingCentral app accepts robocalls. Having issues with major sites (Apple, Bing, Yahoo, Superpages) being able to verify my business site by calling my RingCentral phone. The phone either does not ring or I just get a missed call message. Thanks in advance.

Is this even possible?The default soft keys are assigned to redial, dir, intercom and dnd.I would like to change intercom to "missed calls," which would save me the trouble of punching list/call history/missed calls/select.Can it be done?Thanks!

We need to route incoming calls from a particular number with an extension. What is the RingCentral standard for entering in the phone number. This is not only for enabling these rules, but also so that we can keep our data consistent with our SFDC org. I'm having troubling finding documentation on this issue. For example, I need to forward a call from (800) 555-1212 Extension 101 to our Sales Queue. How would I enter this number in to route based on the caller ID phone number? Would it be 8005551212#101, or 8085551212.101, or is there another format that we should follow?Thanks,James

I just noticed that Glip calendar can be edit by guest and admin don't have control to restrict that? is this a bug or something? i have a guest that changed the meeting time for everyone which create confusing among other members and messed things up. we can't depend on glip calendar if there's no admin control to that, please advise if there's something i can do to prevent that.

I have been using RingCentral for the past 3+ months; I have done a lot of automation around passing DTMF along with phone number - For example - tel:8664567890,,,12345# -> This would dial this 866 number and after the call is picked - will pass 12345#.This has been working flawlessly but somehow it stopped working a couple of days back when i started testing.Could you please help me resolve this issue.

Hi all, We're using RC Glip desktop app. Our users are having an issue that when they're working from home RC app will open and close seconds after. It will continue doing this until you close it down in the system tray by right clicking and 'quit'. This is happening for all users when working from home (they dont use VPN) and dont use Outlook integration. They all work fine in the office (on our LAN), but as soon as they're use external wifi connection it continually loops. I've logged it with RC support, but they're not familiar with this issue. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks for any help as I'm all out of ideas. Mark

I am looking at signing up for a virtual receptionist service to take calls when I am unable to instead of the call going to voicemail. I am in their trial period right now, but cannot seem to get it to work. Ideally, I want it to try me first, then if I don't pick up, it forwards the call to the external number which was assigned to me by the service.I added a new user without a phone to my account and assigned that external number to them, then added that user to my queue. But the calls are not being sent to them when I don't pick up, it just tries me again.

We have a need that support has not been able to assist with to date.Caller calls in to main line and request Service through IVR (this works and goes to a single extension today)We want to add a group between the IVR and the single extension.For the group, we wanted the following:1) Ring for (4) specific users2) Ring all their devices (Hard phone, soft phone, mobile phone) simultaneously3) Wanted the feature under Phone system groups that allowed us to set the Caller ID so when a service call came in, the users could see it was a service line callThing we tried and why it didn't work1) Created a User Extension, put all (4) people in a ring group on simultaneous ring, added the single extension to the end of call handling sequentially after the group. ISSUES: Did not allow users to see it was a service line call, Would only allow us to assign Hard and Soft Phones (no mobiles). If we co
