We have the ringcentral desktop app for texting. We can not get links to go through. How can this be done? We need the ringcentral app to text back and forth with for Text, Pictures and Bitly Links

We have a receptionist extension that multiple employees use to monitor text messages sent to our main number. I typically keep that open in the RingCentral app.We also have each employee log into the RingCentral Phone app for their direct extension on their cell phones.This was suggested to us as a way to handle this situation by our account manager when we first set up our RC account.My understanding is that the mobile phone app is being sundowned. Is there a workaround or a different way to approach this?

Our company has a lot of people who are now splitting their time working in the office and remotely. In my mind, one of the basic reasons for a system like RingCentral is that users can receive their calls on any device, no matter where they are. Last week, I found out that call forwarding does not work as expected.Consider the following scenario. Jane works in the office sometimes and other times she works from home. Susan is going to be out of the office and Jane is her backup. Jane happens to be working from home that day and Susan configures her account to forward her calls to Jane.The expected behavior would be that Jane would be able to receive those calls regardless of which device she is using (desk phone or Mobile app). However, it does not work. The forwarded calls ONLY ring to Jane's desk. There is no way to forward another user's calls to another user's mobile app.I spent some time on the phone with

I click on my softphone Icon and it just loads in the taskbar but the soft phone does not appear. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issue. Need this to work. I'm on windows 10.

I have an office which has voice latency problems only right after they have put a caller on hold. The local tech tried this from a few different phones in the office and also tried from home to see if the problem was specific to the office. The problem is replicated at home as well. Is this a known bug? Is there any work around? The site in question only uses about 8Mbps and has 50Mbps of bandwidth and AutoQOS is configured on the Cisco switch. There is NO contention for bandwidth as the users are only using VMWare Horizon virtual desktop. So I am certain this is not an issue of bandwidth startvation.

What is the best way to block any international number from calling into a business?

Created a silent installation for the RingCentral Desktop app V20.2.20.147320.2, but the program launches as soon as it has installed. I looked at the msi with orca, but do not see any type of launch property that I can disable. Has anyone come up with a way to stop this?

Hello,Currently on the latest version of RingCentral Phone app (20.1.0.38205) and am getting reports that users that send bulk text messages started sending as group texts today without warning or notification which caused some issues. I assume this is due to enabling group messaging and the re-work there. Will the option to de-select "make group text" be available in the RingCentral Phone app like it currently is on the web version of the RingCentral App? I am having users use app.ringcentral.com at the moment as that seems to be the only way for us to do it currently. We have tried RingCentral Phone and RingCentral App and neither have this option, only the web version of RingCentral App does. RC Phone on mobile still seems to send as bulk as of this morning as well but I would imagine that app will start sending as group messages soon as well.Will my users need to use the web version alongside the RingCentral Phone app now to acco

Using Glip v 19.05.2 (E. 2.0.14) Build 958. When I receive a message, the red indicator will appear on the taskbar icon. Once read it should go away. It usually did, but now, it will not go away no matter what I do. I have rebooted, checked my groups/users for any pending messages and nothing. It still keeps coming back. Now I can't tell if I have a valid new message or if it is the phantom message. Please help!

I am trying to sync past appointments on our Glip calendar with Outlook. I copied the calendar URL and added the calendar to Outlook, but it only shows past appointments from the last 30 days. Is this a glitch, or is there a way to pull in all past appointments?Thanks so much!

New customer and completely turned around with what to do here. I was told by RC support to upgrade our company from RC Phone and RC Meetings to one ap, the new RC App. I asked everyone to change but quickly found out that users cannot transfer their contacts to teh new APP. They cannot even add user manually to the new RC APP? We are a logistics company and tal to truck drivers all day. They are not going to click invite links to be added. Our employee have no way to add numbers to their contacts to quickly dial their contacts. What a mess!!! Now we all have to delete the new app and go back to RC Phone. Makes no sense to me. What is that feature not the same from RC Phone? 1. USA account, over 25 users.

When viewing phone call, text and emails on the desktop app and it displays the number but has contact listed as "unknown" can that be edited there to create a named contact?

i have multiple users and i want my Ringcentral app for the admin user to be able to receive all the text messages of the other users.

Over the last 24 hours I have not been able to receive any inbound calls. My dialpad was not working as well and I had many instances of one way audio. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I still cannot receive inbound calls. I cannot get in contact with anyone from RC phone, does anyone have any solutions before I find a new service provider?

My company often posts attachments (usually pdfs saved on our network) and I have been unable to download them. The box pops up at the bottom of the screen but it will say "0/30Kb, paused". If I go to resume the download, it does nothing. It has only been doing it on my computer. I can open downloads on my phone or other office computers.

the phone contacts I had added in my softphone desktop app are not found in the ringcentral classic, glip or web app. Where did the go? this is very important. I don't have them in my iphone contacts list; but they are stored because when they call me glip recognizes the contact and shows up with the named I stored them with on the soft phone app. but when I look for them to dial they are not found/matched.

I am looking for comments and suggestions on using the Desktop app in an enterprise environment. Below I will cover some of the issues we are having.We are a new RC customer with 400 users. Our initial experiences with the Desktop app have been mixed. For example we have a branch that is using nothing but the desktop app. The main number rings to a ring group. The phones assigned do not all ring at the same time. Some do not even ring at all, but they might for the next call. We have made firewall adjusts onsite as per RC knowledge base articles. The other issue is that there seems to be no Admin install version of the MSI file. We have no problems with users being able to install without admin rights, but when you run the app a windows firewall exception notice comes up with DOES require admin rights. Since our users are not admins this presents a problem in Enterprise environments. As a work around I deployed a group policy that adds the following program path
