I’m changing services due to the sms limit and have been trying to port my number out for weeks. I have talked to my account manager which was not helpful at all. I need to be able to port my number asap or I will be canceling all my numbers with RingCentral. I have given T-Mobile all the information that RingCentral told me to give them but there is still service errors. I need help asap! Please

Hello, Was Just wondering if there is a way to have alerts show up on the screen for my employees during the actual time frame. Ultimately, I would like to use it for inside of a team to have it alert them ex: 1:00pm for an event, and they check mark it off when completed.

My desktop RC rings when i get a call, but the app only displays for barely a second on my mobile phone with not enough time to answer the call.

If I loose my ISP, can ring central automatically reroute calls to a different location?

Our faxes are received via email from notify@ringcentral.com and sent to multiple internal recipients. However, the recipient list is quite outdated. How do I access which emails are to receive our faxes so that I may remove former employees and add newer? Several of the email addresses are people who are no longer listed in our Users tab.

I can see that a fax has failed to send - however, I can't seem to find anywhere it would give me the reason why it failed. Am I missing something?

Has anyone come across an option for when porting in a number to a new RC account and enabling SMS sooner due to the delay in TCR? We can't have this huge delay (up to 20 days) when new RC accounts open and waiting on TCR. If a customer was using SMS a day ago with an exiting number then ports over to RC there could be up to a 20 day delay, this is not good for their customers. RC should allow a 30 day grace period for port in numbers while waiting on TCR.

Can anyone provide some kind of proof of RingCentral data residency and regional processing, e.g. Canadian customers data (call logs, recordings etc.) is NOT stored or processed in the US or elsewhere?

I am referring to this article about custom rules. It seems you can only select one call handling option for custom rules.Is it possible to play an announcement and also forward the call to an external number? We'd like to play an announcement about the days we are closed, but still send the call through to our after-hours call center to take a message. Is this possible? How can I do this?The ideal flow would be they select the IVR option, it gets routed to the receptionist queue, the custom rule kicks in for the days we are closed so the announcement plays notifying of the closure, then the call is routed to our external number.

We recently added an answering service to our list of phone #'s to forward calls to. When we test call using our office # it doesn't seem to be forwarding the call to the answering service # that was added. It rings on the other lines. When we call the answering service # directly (not by calling the company #) we get thru to the answering service. How do I fix this so that our answering service can actually answer the calls when they come in?

Has anyone noticed this today? My assigned number begins with 437, and all my apps show this (Windows, Website, Android). However, when attempting to place any call from the Android app, my assigned number shows as beginning with 434 which is incorrect, and thus no call can be placed (the app endlessly spins on the "Calling RingOut number" as it cannot "ring out" to a phone number that isn't really mine.This is pretty much... insane? We have a call, there is a conversation between two participants, this is the first part of the conversation. Recording enabled. One of the participants (the internal one has his own "extensionId") puts the call on hold. After some time, the participant releases the call from hold and the conversation continues, this is the second part of the conversation. After the call ends, a recording is created. The recording contains only the first and second parts of the conversation (before and after the hold). But there is no pause while the call is on hold. I wish the recording included this pause while the call is on hold. Is it possible to configure this in the application?

I can find no information about using Key Templates.Key Templates are found in the Admin Portal under Users/Templates. They are supposed to assist me in mapping the softkeys on my VOIP.When I select Key Templates, it brings up the option of Add Key TemplateWhen I select Add Key Template, there is a drop down menu for Device Model, Select a Device Model.When I select that, it shows "no results". Is it possible to set up a list of categories so that when a call comes in, the recipient is able either during or after the call, to mark it as being one of the set list of categories, so that we can report out each month on the number of calls of each type?

We have a 24/7 schedule. Sometimes randomly, our Ring Central system will change ITSELF to a 9:00 am to 6:00 pm schedule. Why does this keep happening? After I immediately notice I have a voicemail when my phone doesnt ring, and I have to go back in and change this back to 24/7 schedule. This has happened 4-5 times since we got this system. We have new Polycomm phones from Charter. We had a Charter tech come out because our phones didnt work after they did for a few days. Got a ring tone that is it. Tried in another location. I was needed to be present as IT guy when the Charter tech came out. I joked to him and said all i could do is ping from the phone if it had the option. The Charter line man guy laughed and phoned in to a few admins on advice. Non knew anything about these phones connectivity. Suppose to run out of box once RC is setup apparently. Anyways the tech gave up and told us to contact RC support, which didnt know what do do either. I then poked around the phone's menu and was able to view the TCP parameters and send out a ping to 8.8.8.8 (which failed). We use Poly vvx250 phones and recently migrated to RingCentral from another provider. On that provider the phones had the firmware version 5.9.8 and we were able to use Logi H340 usb headsets. During our testing for rollout the phones were being updated to 6.4.2 and the headsets still were working. About October I noticed that the firmware being pushed from assisted provisioning switched to 6.4.4 and we started getting feedback that the headsets no longer worked.Assisted provisioning limits our ability to test different firmware, so I manually configured a Poly VVX 250 and pushed the firmware to 6.4.5 and found the headset still gave a pulsing sound and would occasionally lock the phone up. I upgraded to 6.4.6 and the headsets are working again. How do we request testing or support from Ringcentral on issues like this? We are a non-profit and selected these specific headsets because they worked for our VDI/thin clients as well as the phones. It is not possible to
