After a call ends, I get a green button in the RingCentral for Windows desktop application asking if I want to switch call to this device.There isn't another active call. If I click the "Switch" button, it tries to perform the action but I just encounter dead air. The phone number listed in the popup changes over time (often, it's the number from my last call).If I do nothing, the green button will often disappear on it's own.Anyone else encounter this? Suggested solutions?P.S. Already rebooted, so that isn't a solution. ;-)

Are there plans to enable threaded conversations in the message module of the RingCentral app in the future (similar to what's available in Microsoft Teams)?

Since February simultaneous ring has not worked on one of my two lines. Countless calls to the new "Eastern Europe" Support have failed to resolve this. Calls to Billing result in some clearly personal voicemail in a foreign language sounds like Slovakian saying leave a message I will call you back. Sorry RC, after about 15 years of outstanding service you have gone down hill this year.

We are TCR registered to be able to send text messages, when applying for our brand we submitted specific use cases to be able to send text messages containing a URL so our business partners can log their location with us. Recently RingCentral has blocked these from going out, originally stating URL shortner was not compliant but we are not using a shortner. It turns our RingCentral is marking these as SPAM and will not send out. Has anyone else experienced this issue where RC blocks outbound text? Does anyone have any experience with having ring central "whitelist" these text so they send? Its frustrating as we spend 6 months getting TCR approved only to have this happen.

Are there any features or apps that would allow us to set alerts/notifications that would trigger and notify our techs in some way when the length of their calls reach a specified time limit?

Hello, we got an email from RingCentral saying we need to allow an certain IP range though out firewall for performance purposes. If we are using fax only services, can someone tell me if we need to do this? Thank you.

Here's the setup. Our company hosts many websites for clients. Each website has it's own phone number. We have about 15 phone numbers.Question: Why can't Ring have a setting to display a name of the number being called when a call comes through?For Example: if a customer calls for the hotdog storefront, when a call comes through, it will say its from the HOTDOG STOREFRONT. If a different customer calls, and it's for the ice cream storefront, the popup would say ICE CREAM STOREFRONT. This would just take place of the phone number that's displayed.Again, this would display the name we set for OUR phone numbers. So that WE know which storefront is being called. Does this make sense? Could this be implemented?I've seen questions about this from 2014. It seems silly that nothing has been implemented yet. Ring would probably make more money if they had this functionality.

An attorney is on an outgoing call and the receptionist receives another incoming call asking to speak to him/her. When he/she buzzes the attorney's extension, it goes right to voicemail if he/she is on an outgoing call. How can the receptionist buzz the attorney and announce the call, have him place his current call on hold and pick up the new call.

Sometimes the callee doesn't hear me but I can hear him. Win11, Plantronics Hub 3.25.0 Build 37131. Sometimes it helps to change the settings from "Default - Headset..." to "Headset..." and vice versa but not always. Any idea?

Hello all,I am trying to find out if there is such a thing as a standalone sidecar? We are looking to use the ringcentral app more, but the receptionists do not like the HUD as they have to scroll to see everyone, versus the sidecar is a quick glance.Thanks!

We are currently trying to upgrade users to RingCentral 23.2 for Windows 10. For context, I am the application packager and am deploying the application through SCCM with a powershell script that performs an uninstall of all previous versions and then installs the new versions.

Unwanted Caller, reaches main company number at the reception desk. Who has actual reception phone (Yealink T46S) and Office@Hand Desktop App. She blocks the number = works fine (except there is a 30 phone number limit). Does not work when she does not answer the phone and the call goes to her two backups. One backup has a T42S and the other uses desktop application. When the call is routed to them, does not show a caller-ID and as a result they can not add this unwanted phone number to their own block lists.

Is there a way to dial calls from the ring central desktop application and have them ring out through our desk phones? We would like to better leverage our Contacts in RC and the chrome extension but everyone on the team has a desk phone, and we'd like to still u

I have to remove the "missed calls" manually, because they don't vanish after the call is returned.

Our team is getting overwhelmed when they receive a fax notification on their "Desk" phones. We know we can change the notifications to mark it as "read" in Ringcentral Inbox but how to avoid getting any FAX notification on Desk phone? We are fine with just Email notification.

In the last week we have been unable to search a phone number on the Call Log screen. Using the 'search number' field, nothing comes up. Did a setting change? What is causing this?

outside users send text message to ringcentral softphone user line which is attached to personal cell phone. outside user gets message that "message could not be delivered to this non-wireless number". ringcentral user is set up similar to all other users. why is text not being forwarded to cell phone?

Hello, after creating a new team and sending emails to it from inside our company mail domain works flawlessly. However, mail addresses from outside our company's mail domain seem to get blocked. Maybe they are considered to be spam. My question would be, is there a way to allow external mail senders to post into group chat, in a way that mail clients can add mail addresses to a safe sender list? Thank you.

It seems the latest update of the RC App now pushes a green circle about Cookie settings. It will not go away no matter what you select. It is covering / blocking the Help menu option too, and we cannot move it. How do we get rid of it for everyone? Forcing this to sit there was a very bad design idea.

Audio issue during first 10 to 15 seconds caller hear agent broken audio. Audio is recovers after the time frame. Wave signal show agent audio is amplify without the agent doing anything.

I am attempting to change a user license from mobile to MVP but keep her phone number. When attempting to add the MVP license it add two number vs just the current one. This effort is because currently the soft phone only works on he mobile device. At this time we only want her to use her laptop. When attempt to make a call she get the following message: "Sorry, you can only make calls to your coworkers'...". My thoughts are to change her licensing enabling the soft phone.

Does anyone know of a plug-in that would allow for auto-replies to text/sms? It is a feature that RingCentral seems to not value very high on building in themselves.

I have a client that accidently opt'd out and texted STOP, how do i re-opt-in this clients mistake? Have them text "START" on the same sms they replied "STOP" too?

My boss would like to text clients buy would like the main number to show up as the number that is texting. Is that possible. Thank you.
