We are having problems with the phones also, some of our calls are not coming in but will show on the app they just called.

I have been trying for a month to get help with this and RC Support either acts like they don't understand or doesn't call back and I'm very frustrated so sorry if this comes off super complainy. I need some help!I manage a doctor's office. Our doctors rotate who is "on call" overnight. We are set up so there is a dummy user that receives all after hours calls from the IVR and custom rules set up to forward any calls to the doctor that is designated ON CALL for that specific day. Since 2/10, we no longer see the number of the person that is calling, only that the dummy user has forwarded a call. My docs need to be able to quickly see who is calling (is it the hospital? the lab? a patient?) so if they are in surgery, they can opt to answer something urgent or if it is a known call they are waiting on that has priority over another. I have emailed back and forth with support, done the chat, requested multiple phone calls, sat on eternal hold and nothin

My office has been using Ring Central for years. Whatever the latest update had in it, has totally corrupted the desktop app. It's slow to load, rejects texts, won't let me pick up calls and has crashed my business which survives on the phone. Please investigate this and send a better update.

I never received an email from RC re the new regs. My first notice was this weekend when I opened the desktop app and saw a banner. There aren't 20 business days left in the month to resolve issues, and there are potentially many.

We are a Non-Profit. We obtain donations through our 3rd-party payment processor's configurable forms on our website. Phone and Mobile Phone are among the available fields. Is it necessary that our processer's form "State that recipients are consenting to receive SMS messages...?"

I just received notice of the new TCR rules this weekend. While I immediately started the process, it doesn't seem likely it will be complete by 3/31. I am an attorney who has some clients who prefer to communicate via text. If suddenly I can't respond after 3/31, I could have some unhappy clients. I'm not at all happy with RC's rollout of this process.

Would it ever make sense to have a temporary TCR campaign? Let's say for an event that ends on a specific date. Can campaigns have a limited 'life span'? And if so, what about any phone numbers that are assigned to those campaigns? Are the charges pro-rated based on the time, or volume, usage?Any guidance is appreciated in advance. I can send vcard (vcf) files to android phones and they work perfectly. When I send to iphone users the file just appears as a text file. What I have tried:I created a vcard in outlook, saved it as a vcf and sent it to android and iphone. It worked on android but not on iphone.I forwarded a contact from my android phone to iphone and that worked fine - one click to add to contacts on iphone.I forwarded that vcf that worked on iphone over to my ringcentral phone. Downloaded the vcf and sent the same file back to the iphone and it broke again. This tells me something about how ringcentral is handling vcf makes iphone not like it - but android has this figured out. This feature is critical, prospects that save our contacts on their phone have a 30%+ higher buying tendency. It helps clear spam blockers for email when it is a recognized contact. It helps for picking up the phone when we call - spam blockers, etc etc. Hel

We don't do large texts or use short code. Really there is no way for a mobile company to know we are a business, so why do we have to register? We have 1 line and 1 person using the system.

When we visit the TCR website the first registration option is to get setup with TCR as a CSP. This also requires that we pay a $200 registration fee. Neither registration as a CSP nor the required fee were specified in the RingCentral documentation for this process.We are a freight forwarding company...not a communications service provider. It seems to us that RingCentral should be registering our business and providing a portal for us to register any campaigns we wish to undertake.Would someone kindly shed a bit more light on this process and why RingCentral is passing the cost of registering RingCentral phone numbers to their customers?

I created a campaign for client prospects and job applicants (texts are just to confirm they received our emails) = BASIC. I think I need to create a second one for communicating with my employees (I have a virtual office so that is our primary communication tool) = COMPLEX. Is there another option?

I'm having trouble finding information about how to extend the limit of 49 lines on a single "campaign".Does anyone know of a work around for the extension limit or must I create multiple campaigns to cover all of my extensions?

We don't text customers, we mainly receive texts, very minimum (i.e. 2 step verification type texts), do we still need to set a SMS campaign?

I don't understand how this can be so complicated and there is really no support from RC. I have been with RC for years and all you get are some brainless bots dating back to 1980. I text between employees and team members and respond to clients by text and not talking about more than 15000 and less than 15000. It's ridiculous. None of the options even apply to me, so I have no idea how to even fill these out and no support. They send you some sheets that I have already seen that do not apply to my business, Some clients don't want to be called and want texts. I am seriously going to see if there is a replacement for RC. Any one can recommend another company?

I have gotten us as far as signing up with our "brand" and am moving on to the campaign. WHY were we charged $150? After reading many comments & info on the website, I do not see that. My bill says we were charged the $4 fee to register our brand, but what is the $150 for?? And our SMS texts are still NOT working. This has been an issue since MONDAY. We are in touch w/a lot of our patients and this is completely ridiculous that we can't send a text and couldn't all week.

Have been trying to send fax since Sunday, 3/5/2023. Fax is Failing. Not sure what is going on.

Can someone clarify--is it really the case the I have to register a "campaign" with TCR, obtain consent, have an opt-out mechanism, and pay some BS monthly fee--all so that I can send a few text responses to my clients and vendors? Do I really need consent to text a client that I'm stuck in traffic and will be 5 minutes late? Do my vendors really need the ability to opt out of messages like "i'm sorry i missed your call--will try you this afternoon?". This sounds like a money grabbing bureaucratic hellhole. Please someone tell me that my understanding is wrong--and tell me how to continue to use SMS on my RC line in the same way I use it on my cellphone.Sidenote--I still can't opt out of messages from shortcode spammers because RC won't let me send texts to shortcode numbers, but I have to register a campaign so that I won't cause the same frustration to others??

Our business only receives texts (mostly for account verification codes, not even to talk with clients). We are thinking about just disabling SMS, instead of worrying about TCR registration, since we don't feel our business is applicable. If we do register a campaign, I am worried about getting a fine for "failure to use campaign" which is a fine of $250 for not sending SMS to any T-mobile customers in a 60-day period, which we would definitely n

How are we supposed to provide opt-out examples for TCR when RingCentral doesn't have support for this currently? Are we supposed to lie? Put what it might eventually be? Unsure how to proceed here without proper RC support

Do we have to add all contact information of vendors and people we contact in the SMS campaign? Does that mean that any new number that is not added on the campaign will not allow us to message each time? If YEs, do we manually add each number in this campaign? This is just confusing.

The new TCR rules are ridiculous for a small company using text to only respond to a one-to one customer service request via text message on our company line. Now we cannot even provide fast service to a customer via a text response. This rule should really only apply to more than one number. If it is a one to one reply SMS should not be affected. Grouping the millions of small businesses into the same category of businesses who abuse SMS is awful and seems like it could be bordering on illegal. This new rule is asking for registration fees and quite frankly, we are better off cancelling ringcentral and porting our number to a cell service.I urge all small business customers to speak up given we are all being forced to pay a fee for a service we do not even use (campaign texting). Once a customer opts into receiving texts, do we have to include an opt-out option & help option into every SINGLE text we send to that customer? If so, does RingCentral MVP have an SMS template so we can easily add our opt-out & help messages to every text we send, or are we responsible to add this info ourselves?

We use 3rdy party companies to send text to customers for most of our text messaging. Our employees communicate with the customers through the websites of these companies. We do use RingCentral for texting as well, just not nearly as much. I realize I will have to setup TCR for our use with RingCentral. My question is about these 3rd party companies. Are we responsible for setting them up in TCR as well, or is that something the are responsible for? I'm not sure how to approach this since it's not through RingCentral, but they are sending them on behalf of our company.

We received an email today saying we have used 90% of our texts for the billing cycle. I pulled some metrics and we have used 782 texts this month so far with 14 days left in our billing cycle. Last billing cycle we used 1,289 texts and did not hit any limits. Why do we suddenly have some limit much lower than last month? Anyone else receive a message like this with mysterious limits you've never hit before?

I am a sole practitioner. I do not have an EIN. The template that you have to fill in requires an EIN. I am not going to get an EIN just to make RC happy. And my plan is self-service only. No live person to speak to.I'm getting very frustrated with RC to the point of pulling the plug and going elsewhere.
