I am planning to give up my landline phone, so phone number and fax number would be disconnected. Does the fax number remain usable through ringcentral fax? or will I need a new fax number?

Has anyone created their own resource / instructions RingCentral for salesforce call transferring and conferencing & what the difference is and how to perform the function?We recently upgraded our RingCentral for salesforce integration to version 18.3 and the transfer/conference function has changed and is creating confusion. I can't find any self-help material that is up to date that shows the newer versions of this function.

Currently I am the super admin and if we forward calls to the admin from our main line, they ring on my desktop, but I want those calls to go to another users desktop app. Is there a way I can set this up? Thanks

On the Polycom VVX 411, when connecting a computer using the built-in switch, we've noticed that the phone still "reports" the computer's MAC address even after disconnecting the computer and plugging in another computer. At this point, when looking at the actual access switch to which the phone is connected, it appears that there are three MAC addresses attached to the port (the phone itself and the two computers). This is a problem as we set limits to the number of MAC addresses allowed on the switch ports. Is there a patch, firmware upgrade, etc., that will fix this issue?What helped us identify the issue is one particular user that changes laptops alot on the 1GB connected eithernet cable kept getting their port disabled at the switch.

Anyone else experiencing an issue on iPhone 13 Pro where when trying to log in it won't let you past the launch screen? The UI seems to go completely dead and won't let me get to the main app.

We have a multi-site account with RC. We have RC admins at sites under our main account that has Phone System access to just their sites. But it seems only those with Super Admin roles can modify IVR's so each Phone System admin is not able to modify IVR's specific to their site. Is there any workaround to give IVR editing permissions to non-Super Admins?

Whenever I import my client contact list to the Ringcentral App for iPhone, it changes my client's dates of birth, or any other important dates I've saved for them. Like, if their date of birth is July 4, 1976, the Ringcentral App will change it to July 3, 1976. How do I fix this?

We have noticed that it can be frustrating and cause less that ideal customer experiences when members of a call queue are on annual leave or off sick but have left their accept call queue status to on. This causes calls to our IT Helpdesk for admin accounts to manually override this status.Is it not possible for the RingCentral platform to know when a user is logged in or not. The behaviour would then be that if a user is not logged in on mobile or desktop that their call queues availability should be set to do not accept call queues. Once a user is logged in it should automatically set them to accept call queue calls.

I am trying to find out who owns a RingCentral number that is being used by one of our clients. The number was set up under the previous provider for this client, but that provider is no longer in business. I do not do anything with development. Who could I contact to start an investigation to track down who this belongs to? What information would I possibly need to provide, as I don't have much to go on except the number and who is currently using it.Ultimately I would like to move it to the customer's account.

I've searched and searched but don't see an option in settings for sent faxes to also be emailed to me. I get a text when fax is successfully sent so I don't understand why it couldn't also notify via email along with the actual fax sent. I see there is an extension to save sent faxes to my cloud storage, but that compromises privacy so would like a different option. This is a big problem especially for the price I pay.

Hi there, we have 5 retail stores across the country and are expanding quickly. I just signed up for a Ring Central 800 number and would love for it to forward the call to the closest location based on caller id. Or if a customer could enter their zip code, it could forward based on that. Is this an option with RC or through a 3rd party?

I'm writing up training material for our office on using the RingCentral mobile app. I know people will ask what the difference is between Message and Text. I can't find any information that explains the difference. Anyone know?

We recently moved to the RingCentral App (Video) from RingCentral Meetings. We have a handful of users who have installed the RingCentral App successfully (logged in to the app, no issues) but every time they click a link to join a meeting, the RingCentral App downloader kicks off and starts downloading the app again. I have reset the browser settings and changed the default to IE11, Chrome and Edge all with the same result.

I am new to Ring Central migrating from Avaya. We heavily use "3-4 bridged appearances" on phones at truck terminals. Is there a similar feature/button that can do the same on RC? ty

Our company has a number of deployed laptops that have various combinations of the older "RingCentral Classic", "RingCentral Phone" and "RingCentral Meetings" apps on them. I had addressed this in the past. We needed the system to send out automated text messages on user extensions as part of a way to automate an IVR option where the customer can request to have a text message dispatched to them with a customized url link to access certain information of the internet. For a short time we had to use mobile devices attached to those IVR extensions. Those devices were set to drive mode to dispatch the texts. We came across another service that does this and are temporarily using them to automate the texts. Its cheaper than using mobile devices and I dont have to keep those phones active and constantly plugged in. Here is the service we are now using for text backs. Are you guys planning anything like this? With the issues that the new interface has been having and lack of this feature, we may be looking to move. You can review this feature on their website...

It would be very useful for the Voicemail to Text to transcribe the entire voicemail to text and deliver the entire transcription, rather than simply the first minute or so of the recording where the rest of the voicemail must be listened to.

I have a new user using RC Phone Windows app. When she receives the call and attempts to transfer the "Warm Transfer" option is grayed out. She seems to be the only user experiencing this issue. Is there a setting that controls this?

Hi guys, can anyone pls tell me where to find the button to click for choosing an option where it says "accept all calls or do not accept calls" when the app upgraded I couldn't find where it was placed.. Thanks in advance for the answers!
