Join call monitor prior to call connecting (while ringing)

I'm being told by support that this is not a current capability of the system and was advised to come post here and perhaps have this added as a future feature.

Outbound caller ID not showing

My outbound caller ID is showing "UNKNOWN CALLER" to customers. I have it set up to show my company name in the settings on website. Im using the mobile app and have caller ID set to main company number for caller ID.

Issue: Can't call main number, and then directly leave a voicemail message

When calling the main company number, there are cases where people only want to leave a voicemail for a person, and not ring a person's phone first. (Ex. If you want to leave a voice message, but it's not urgent.)Please provide this feature as Ring Central doesn't provide feature parity with on-premises phone systems which all have this functionality.Thanks

SoundStation IP 6000 connected to Cisco 2960-X not working

We have several SoundStation IP 6000 phones.When we connect them to a 2960-X switch they do not fully work. The phone will power on, receive an IP via dhcp, but not much after that will happen.  Pinging the IP of the phone has almost 100% packet loss.  I've tried several different interfaces on the 2960-X and get the same result.  Verified that I can connect other devices to these ports and they work without issue.  Another strange thing is a few days ago the phones showed up in 'show cdp neighbor' from the switch.  Now, they do not.Now, if I take that phone to 2960 switch connect it, it will power on and work without issue.I've tried just about every setting I can think of on the 2960-X port to try and make this work but I can't get it to work.Has anyone seen a similar issue like this before?  Know of a solution/work around?Summary....Phones will not work when connected to;WS-C2960X-48FPD-L15.2(7)E0ainterface Gi3/0/36 switchport access vlan 403

Inbound vs Outbound call and its individual calls answered or missed Report

The analytics page is confusing. Company Numbers - only gives number of inbound calls to number of answered for inbound calls - this includes weekend and off hour.Performance Reports - gives extension only inbound and outbound call numbers, but does not gives the calls answered for inbound and outbound separately.Quality of Service - has filter to separate inbound and outbound calls and indicate which ones are answered or missed. But does not have an option to export the data.The report I'm looking for is...Inbound calls# with the number of inbound calls answered and missedOutbound calls# with the number of Outbound calls answered and missed And be able to select filter for company number, call group, or extension based.

My Plantronics Voyager 5200/Explorer 500 are Auto Answering Calls on a Galaxy S10. How can I disable/troubleshoot?

I've installed the PLT Hub application and disabled auto answer. It is still happening ONLY in the RingCentral application. Regular cell phone calls do not auto answer. I even disabled all of the "sensors" on the 5200 and it sill answers calls. It will even answer a new call and disconnect a current call.Thank you!

Looking for a truly portable wireless headset for RC for Mac and the Android app

Hello everyone,We are new to RC and so far it seems to fit our needs well. We have three users - two are in the office most of the time and the third (myself) is out and about. The other two users have Polycom desk phones, I elected to stick with the softphone. I'm running RingCentral for Mac  Release: 8.3.6.24042 on macOS Sierra. I also make frequent use of the RingCentral for Android app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.For my needs, I would really like to find the perfect wireless headset. I have pretty severe ADHD and tend to move around a lot while I'm on phone calls (especially conference calls or online meetings.) I have a set of Jabra Rox wireless earbuds that don't seem to really work with RC. My in-depth research (seriously, I've spent DAYS looking at this stuff) shows me that Plantronics is the recommended headset manufacturer of choice - that's great, I love Plantronics headsets. I used a Savi W740 at my previous job and really loved it, but that's not a good solution sin

Can't make calls from the desktop app

When trying to make a call using the desktop app (windows), it only allow for ''Internal calls only'', but i can make calls just fine using my iphone ...been trying to fix this for days now and i have run over many related topics here but nothing seems to be working for me...So how to slove this?ps: i have the role permission to make calls

problem with ring central unified

problem when contact name is not filled in when adding a contact to ringcentral unified. Sometimes the contact cannot be found and sometimes the contact be found only through scrolling and not through search.If the contact is found through search the contact profile initials is the area code instead of the company name.PLEASE FIX THESE BUGS IMMEDIATELY IT'S REALLY ANNOYING AND IT MESSES UP MY CONTACT LIST THX!

Using existing BT phones.

I want to discontinue my BT line and use RingCentral to take incoming and make outgoing calls. Can I use my existing DECT telephones by using an adapter to connect BT plug into RJ socket on my satellite router?

Has anyone had the JEDI error pop up when they try to save in Fax Settings on the portal?

I have multiple users reporting that when they make changes or updates to their fax settings on the portal, receive a pop up error stating "JEDI error". I have opened a ticket with RC 8 months ago and have not had any movement on it. I brought it up again this week and was told it was a PKI (Product Known Issue) which has been their cover for not knowing how to fix something. I am about to migrate 700 users to RC Fax from eFax and this is unacceptable. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what have you done to mitigate it?

Using voice to accept queue calls (or other calls) instead of pressing "1"

It is convenient to have some calls announced when answering them (e.g. queue calls, etc.), but then having to press "1" to answer can be inconvenient (such as when driving, when on a headset with no keypad, etc.). It would be nice to be able to speak "yes" or something similar to be able to confirm the call should be answered in addition to being able to press "1" to answer it.

Trying to change a user from direct line to app, but now I can't assign number to account.

I was trying to assist a user who originally requested a physical phone and was assigned a direct line, but later found that the company is pretty much using the desktop app instead. I followed the directions to remove from direct line and switch, but now I can't assign the number back to the user.

I am having trouble when I edit the custom fax template. Once I enter the required information to each field accordingly, the recipient phone number (not the recipient fax number) field will not populate and will be blank.

Feature Request: Removing Missed Call Notification to Call Queue if Ringing is Set-up to Simultaneous

Hi,I worked with one of your operators in order to set the call queue so that it rings on all phones simultaneously which is great. The problem is when someone answers the call, the rest of the callers receive the indication that the call was missed on their end leading to the perception that the call was missed thus creating miscommunication.Can we work together to configure how to set the call queue so that each user who doesn't answer doesn't receive a missed call indicator? Also, I've created an email security group called missed@jsnell.com, for the goal here would only to receive voicemails from calls that are missed from the call queue.

I updated to the most recent RingCentral Mobile app and calls are not coming through. My device is IPHONE XR. This issue has started since yesterday. I re-installed the RC app and no changes.

How to use cloud storage for recordings

hi there, I see i can access cloud storage for recording if I have the contact center, is there a way to do this without having to get the contact center? I need to be able to have long term storage for my recordings and I don't want to have to download hundreds a day as i would now the way it is set up.thankschris

How do I make the quality of my fax better?? The sent fax looks horrible.

Has anyone found out how to fix the quality of outgoing faxes? I am faxing scanned pdf files and when I send it there is no problem. When I open the confirmation saying it was sent and hit the view button, it is grainy with black dots all over and hard to read. Any suggestions?

New RingCentral app fax does not have fields to edit recipient's info

On the new RingCentral app, when we go to fax, there's not option to type in the recipient's info such as To, Company Name, etc. like the RC Phone does. Any ideas?

Sent faxes have terrible image quality when viewed as a preview in RC for Windows.

I have sent faxes by opening a PDF, selecting Print and choosing RingCentral from the printers list. After the fax is sent, I click the "eye" icon in RC for Windows to see what the fax looks like, and the image quality is terrible. Is this what my customers are seeing when I send them a fax?

How to turn up volume when listening to voicemails on mobile app

Whenever I listen to voicemails from the mobile app they are very quiet. is there a way to turn up the volume or better yet have the VM play back on speaker phone.
