RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

For meetings that require minutes to be taken, meeting recordings will often be paused, to ensure details are captured/written correctly during playback. In the new ringcentral platform, if the video is paused for too long (greater than a couple of minutes), the video will not restart. I have to exit/re-enter the platform to start the video again. This causes significant delay in the minute-taking process.

Hi there, setting up deskphones for new hires and noticed we have been having to go thru each phone individually and manually change the no of line appearances so it only shows the first 2 lines as the user opposed to all 6 of them. While this works Im looking for a method to streamline this more so that we can change this setting en masse rather then person by person.

We have moved to Microsoft Azure and implemented WVD locally. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations running the RingCentral App in an WVD environment..

Looking at the system requirements pages for app/meetings/phone it's unclear if Monterey is fully supported and if there are any known issues. I'm new, so maybe I just do not see it...but how can I make sure an extension does NOT show in the Ring Central app list of extensions? This is a security issue.

When we have staff turnover we want to use the same extension numbers but change the name of the person at the particular extensions. I update the name in every place I can find but the old names still appear when you dial the extension.Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

My new coworker's phone makes an extended beep sound (two tones) when the person they are speaking with hangs up. Is there any way to turn that off, or down? Everyone can hear it from the speakerphone, even when the call is handled via the handset.

One of my colleagues left the company and didn't delete a recurring meeting he had organized. Even though I've declined all instances of the meeting in Google Calendar,it's still appearing in Ring Central Video meetings.I've tried disconnecting my Ring Central account from my Google Calendar and then re-connecting it, but the problem persists. I don't see any way to remove meetings from Ring Central; it appears to show all the meetings in my calendar, but it also includes this meeting which I've declined.I'm stumped about what I can do next (besides campaigning to be made a Google Workspace administrator so I can delete this meeting from my ex-colleagues' calendar).

Hello, I downloaded the latest RingCentral app for Win10 and am experiencing an odd issue.This software has to re-install itself every time I click to open it. After the installation, I can use it perfectly. But then I shut down my PC overnight and the next day, It has to re-install itself again to be used. Does this software no longer install permanently into windows like any other standard software package? This is odd behavior. It is frustrating because of how long it takes to re-install every time I turn on the PC. I havent had anything give me this kind of issue since the Windows XP days.Thank you

hello, i'm working with Observe.ai, they are helping us analyze recorded calls. we're required to provide them with call recordings and metadata related to each call. 1 of their requirements is that we have to provide a unique call ID for each recorded call. is there a way to do this?i do see that i'm able to download all recorded calls for a date range and also view the call log. However, the call log does not indicate which record corresponds to the mp3 file of the recorded call. please help

Is there any way to get incoming calls to show Salesforce contact information within the RC App itself?

I got an email today informing me that due to "industry changes" my SMS have been categories as A2P and "to continue sending SMS messages, you will need to transition to one of our A2P compliant solutions, such as toll-free SMS or High Volume SMS." This came as a surprise to me as 90% of my business is done via text messages (clients sending images for review, quotes, updates) and the ability to send SMS is key. Is anyone else dealing with this issue now and what options have you considered?

I'm seeing a discrepancy between the number of inbound calls in the performance report and what is in the call log. For example, in looking at a particular day, the call log shows 69 inbound calls whereas the performance report is 58. There is a 8-15 call discrepancy for each day that I've looked at.I've looked at the call logs to see if I can isolate what calls aren't being included, but the performance report for the queue don't provide enough detail to figure out which calls are being filtered out.

Is there a way to map from RC to SFDC, the number that someone dialed to reach our RC system? We have a few different numbers we have for marketing purposes, and would like to track in Salesforce which specific numbers our inbound contacts are dialing to reach us.We seem to have a field for it in SF, but no way of mapping that data from RC.. has anyone else wanted/been able to accomplish this?

Hi All,Due to a malfunctioning synchronization, my RingCentral account now has about 8,000 contacts consisting mostly of duplicated entries. I am unable to figure out how to reset the contacts. I checked with RingCentral support and they did not have a way to delete all contacts. It is not possible for me to do this one at a time. Even a screen macro would not work because RingCentral does not show the delete button in the same place for every contact.Does anyone have a script I can use to delete all contacts so I can start over?Thank you in advance.

I'd like to port our current xfintity # to ringcentral. We are just 1 user but when asked to map the number it shows I have 2 ringcentral numbers. The main number and an ext number with my name as the user. I would assume I would map it to the main number? I dont need the second ext number. Did I set something up wrong and how do I get rid of it?

I need to know when a call coming to my cell is from ring central/my business. How do I set it up so it shows that it is a business call being forwarded?

Primarily in our office, all users are on desk phones. However a few employees are in and out of the office enough, that they have both a desk phone and a softphone (via the app on their smart phone). That way they can answer on either device, the desk phone when they are in the office and the app when they are out of the office.While this is very convenient it does lead to some frustrations and usability issues. If a call is picked up on the softphone, it shows up as a missed call on the desk phone and visa versa. Also, if an employee is on a call on the softphone, the desk phone doesn't show up as busy and calls still come through on it.Is there any way to link or sync the softphone to the desk phone? Ideally, we want a call to only show up as missed if the employee doesnt pick it up on either device. Also, if an employee is on a call on either device they should be considered busy on all devices. Anyone else run into this issue and know if there is any way to address it?

Having issues with my RC sms text messages going thru to ATT customers. All others work fine. I can send photos to ATT customers but not SMS text messages. I get message send failure. Going on for over a week now.
