phone SIP registration timer

When my network fails over to our secondary provider the phones do not re-register. Is there a way to adjust the timer or have the phone try to re-register in the event of an Internet failover.

Status keeps reverting to Invisible.

mac app slow to report answer machine messages,mac app

Answer machine messages appear quickly in our email but the mac app can take hours meaning confusion in the office WHY?,Hi our office finds the app very slow to report answer machine messages yet they appear in our email box almost instantly. It makes the app a pain to use

Not receiving calls from RingCentral

I've set up the RingCentral app to call my phone, and it only seems to be calling the office phone. I put in the Call Forwarding settings for it to call my phone and the office phone number simultaneously, but it only calls the office phone.

Blocking a call

Hi. First post for me for this community. It seems RC does not provide a method to block incoming calls at the top level. By that I mean as an admin I cannot block a number from calling. I see where I can block calls from hitting Queues and how users can block calls from getting to their extension. But wanted to make sure I am not missing an option that would allow us to block a number from calling all extensions or queues without need to do at the user/extension or queue level.

Failed Faxes that Go Through Anyway?

Hello- We have had several incidents where we have sent a fax and received the transmission result "failed" but then learned that the faxes actually went through. Any idea why that might happen and how to fix it?

SIP.ringcentral.com dropping packets

Has anyone else noticed that sip.ringcentral.com (199.255.120.146) has been dropping packets? We were down for over an hour yesterday when sip.ringcentral.com was not available. I called into support to open a ticket and tried to explain the issue, but you know RingCentral support it is a bit iffy and they need to follow procedures.Anyway, after an hour on support the server came back on line (support said it is was a DNS issue LOL, pinging an 199.255.120.146 has nothing to do with DNS. anyway). It was dropping a lot of packets. And today though the server is up, its network does not seem to be stable and is still dropping packets. I tested from three different ISPs and one is an MPLs straight into their network.We tested for packet loss all the way up to the hop before 199.255.120.146 and the route was clean. The issue appears to be at 199.255.120.146, I am guessing this ip is some kind of load balancer like an NGINX by the way it acts. Is anyone else seeing the packet drops?

Personal contacts don't sync between Web App and Desktop App (Windows)

Hi. I imported contacts from another account using RingCentral Web CSV contact import future. The contacts imported fine and show up nicely on the web. However, my desktop app doesn't have them. And the contacts that I create in the desktop app are not found on the web.Logging out and then logging in doesn't help. Reinstalling the app doesn't help.Is this a known problem? When will it be fixed?

why does ringcentral put Teams meetings on hold?

why does ringcentral put Teams meetings on hold?One of our users is providing remote training over MS Teams, sharing her screen and sound.She goes to make a call but as soon as Ring Central connects the call, the attendees in the meeting are put on Hold.Although this only seems to be happening for 1 user so far, other users can perform this action fine.

Interactive Audible Voice/Number Pad Phone Survey

What is a good Interactive Audible Voice/Number Pad Phone Survey set up? From my knowledge RC doesn't have it, you can use Zapier as a middleware, but other apps it feeds into is all text based. I know I've seen systems that tell me to stay on the line after the call to take a survey, but it's always voice or phone pad interactive. Nothing that requires me to go to some website to fill out something. Survey Monkey from my understanding doesn't have voice or phone pad interactive. Only forms.

Good day! Is it possible to send SMS on a 5-digit number? Example would be the screenshot below. I am getting an error message when sending SMS to this number. 59963 is the recipient of the SMS.

Airpods

Will Airpods ever be compatible with RingCentral and, whether or not they are/will be, would RingCentral provide a simple "yes", with an explanation how, or a "no" answer? If not, I can stop looking as RingCentral has no information here as to what their intent is or will be other than to be silent.

No Talk path on our Poly VVX 250 desk phones

We are not getting a talk path on our VVX250 desk phones. No matter who I call. Call connects but neither party get audio. The talk path works on inbound calls.

Who do I contact if I need help creating a new announcement-only queue, specifically recording the outgoing voice announcement? The RChee is not helpful, and when I try to create a ticket, I get an error and it never submits.

Activate lldp with polycom firmware 6.3.0.

It seems LLDP is always getting off even if its on. When I turn it off then on again, it starts LLDP again for a couple of minute, then goes down again. I'm trying to configure voice vlan with those VVX 450 and without LLDP, it is impossible.

No direct transfer to voicemail on Yealink phones

We just set up a client with Yealink T48S model phones and when attempting to send a call direct to voicemail by pressing Transfer > *0+ext but we hear "I'm sorry. You have dialed an incorrect extension". I contacted RC support and was told this function was not available on the Yealink model phones which was also confirmed by Tier 2 and Tier 3 support. The reason given was: "The DTMF Touchtone is only working for Cisco and Polycom Phones"Will this function ever be available to work on Yealink phones? Is there nothing that can be done to make it work? I can't imagine DTMF signaling is any different on a Yealink IP phone than any other IP phone. Please advise. This is an extremely important function and one I can't believe is not working on Yealink phones that RingCentral sells and supports for which there is even specific instructions available in the KB: Transfer a Call to Voicemail Using a Yealink Phone | RingCentral

Voicemail Silent Message

Wanted to remove the Silent message since not all of the customer are leaving voicemail their just staying on the line. For Example, Lisa called me on my phone number, she didnt really leave me a voicemail she just stayed on the line for 5 secs and hungs up, upon receiving my email notification, when i play the recording its just a silence on the line for the voicemail and theres really nothing in there. So if possible can we remove the Silence on the line and just play the message if there was really a message on the voicemail.

How can I remove the 'More' menu item from specific users

I want to remove the "More" menu item from specific users either by Role or Template...can't find anywhere to do that. I need to setup a modified role standard user vs. a message only user to capture fax and vm's. This user will make no calls, and is setup as a modified standard user since I can't control all the proper permissions or apply a template for a message-only user.I basically want this user completely locked up to only allow the persons who login to this user to be able to download message or faxes via the call log.

Network upgrade

We are moving our main office, changing our internet provider and taking the opportunity to upgrade some of our internal infrastructure i.e new router (ASUS ZenWi-Fi AX) and add a poe switch. Are there any pitfalls we need to be aware of? Should we allocate the phones reserved IP addresses?
