RingEX: Team Messaging, Calendar, & Tasks

We would like for a task to stay “Unread” (highlighted for the recipient of the task) until it is marked “Complete” even after it has been read. How do we do that? Thank you!

I want to clean up old Team chats that have been created and not used.  Is there a way for me to do this?  I can’t seem to find it in the Admin tool.

How do I view scheduled meetings in the new RingCentral Desktop App? In the RingCentral Meetings app, there was a tab for "Meetings" where I could see all recurring and scheduled meetings.

I have 2 users that do not come up as options in the messaging platform of RingCentral.  Is there a setting that I am possibly missing in the user profile that doesn’t allow them to get messages?  I have compared their settings in RingCentral to others users I message and they seem the same.Thank you!Kelly

Is anyone else getting emails that look like authentic RingCentral notifications except instead of coming from a notifications@RingCentral email address, they come from your own email address? There are a few of us within my company that are getting these emails that look like they’re from RingCentral alerting us to a voicemail. They contain an attachment. However, when we log into our RingCentral app, there is no such call or voicemail. It is happening daily, and sometimes multiple times a day. RingCentral should look into this ASAP and users be cautious about clicking links or attachments.  

For the past several months, we've had our users adopt the new RC app to replace RC Classic. However, the RC Classic app somehow keeps reinstalling itself within hours or by the next day (after a reboot), and then becomes the default app that opens at startup instead of the new RC app.How can we fully uninstall the RC Classic app from Windows 10 systems? This is taking up way too much of our bandwidth. I have started just leaving RC Classic installed on our systems (been through this loop four times myself), though that is really not the solution we expect.I do have an open case on this, but it's been on PKI Hold since January.

I’m trying to set up Ringcentral for our company. I’ve enabled the app in Teams admin and it pushed out just fine to our desktops running Teams. I’ve even made calls through the app. But for some reason it isn’t coming up in the Teams mobile on my iPhone. Has anyone ran into this?

From the Company Contacts I can see if a contact is available when I hover over the contact. How can I see the status of ALL contacts without hovering over each contact?I am an Admin but it would be nice if this capability were available to all users.Correction to Question:RingCentral app: How do I view the status of all Company contacts?

My Windows app freezes completely and quitting and restarting doesn't help. I have to actually launch a Task Manager and kill the app and then restart it. By freeze what I mean is, tapping on anything on the app has no response. This seems to occur when I switch WiFi network, although I am not 100% certain. Has anyone seen this? It is pretty annoying! Now I have a work around it is not a blocking issue, but it seems like a bug.I also notice, when I "quit" the app from the menu, there are still RingCentral processes lingering when I look at Task Manager.

Does RingCentral have a document that we can give to our employees to let them know when downloading the app on a personal device, that their personal data is not monitored via RingCentral? 

Is there a way to set a contact to give me a notification for when they come online if they are currently offline? In the Message window.

We are moving away from Skype to RingCentral.   I’m wondering if Ring can show “away” in the Status more accurately.  Currently it appears that a person’s status remains green/available until a timeout puts them as Offline or they physically log out or disconnect from Wi-Fi.  It would be nice if there is an in-between “Away from keyboard - Yellow” status, that would indicate the person is logged on, but is not currently active.  Skype indicates this away status when a person locks their screen or times out.  Our employees find it very difficult to interpret “Offline” as Ring portrays it. 

Is there a limit to the file size you can attach to a “Chat” Message within the Desktop app?  If so, what is the limit.

Why is it that every single time I receive a call, the ringcentral iOS app creates a new contact with my own extension direct phone number and the name “via Ringcentral” in my iPhone contacts? This is absurd. There are now hundreds of them and I have to manually delete them. Seems like a clear bug! Can anyone from Ringcentral help??? All of the data on the contact is my extensions’s phone number with the label “WORK” and the first name “via RingCentral”

I am looking for a little advice on how to setup a team “A” comprised of all my users that will allow them to request help by typing in a keyword. When the keyword appears in the Team “A” chat, it will send a message to the proper team “B” with the user’s name and message. It wouldn’t be very efficient for the team to have to monitor the entire team “A” chat. I thought that using the @mentions was supposed to send the message to the specified person only, but it only highlights their name… Not very useful. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been submitting for TCR registration for 3 months now without success. I have called support multiple times. Each time, they look at what needs to be changed, I change it to comply (again) and get rejected again. The last rejection I had, the support person did not even know how I would get rejected because everything was there and complied. He said he would expedite my case, but that was over 2 weeks ago. Please, does anyone know why this might be happening. PLEASE HELP! I AM DESPERATE!

I can’t sent messages 

The recent RingCentral App domain upgrade, has us in a situation where we're having to touch each machine that has the older version of RingCentral installed.The MSI doesn't have the "check for updates" option. The EXE isn't supported for scripted installs or GPO's or SCCM or Intune because those run exe file on behalf of system users w/ elevated permissions.Running the EXE on a machine will not uninstall the currently installed RC App from an MSI install.Is there a utility or a way for us to uninstall all RingCentral apps no matter the version before installing the newest EXE install ?

I have seen multiple people on here complaining that TCR registration was never successful with Ring central for whatever reason. We submitted TCR registration originally in October. Constant denials, even after getting reps on the phone with web developers to make sure every line and word was identical to what we were told on the phone. It has been under review for 2 months now, no progress. Spoke on the phone, yet another new rep saying to change something. Almost as if Ring Central does not want you to register for texting and keeps doing fraud to always have a reason to deny you or prolong the process.  TCR registration with another company was done in 2 days before moving my services to Ring central. Might need to switch companies.Any advice from someone that has successfully completed the TCR Registration?

Wondering if anybody else see this as useful. I just submitted it as a feature request.  A few days ago I asked about the greetings seen while creating rules, but no answers yet.  We use the custom rules for holidays and all sorts of scheduled and unscheduled closures in our queues and IVRs. As an example our offices closed yesterday at 2pm due to heavy lake-effect snow. Adjusting my "Weather Closure" rules is easy and it works great (even if the staff queue managers never do it themselves). However, what we don't have is an easy way to inform callers about the reason for the closure. The queue is simply closed, callers get sent to voicemail, and that's it. I could re-record the Call Queue Greeting, but that's not a good solution for unanticipated closures when we plan to be open the next day. Departments often record custom greetings and I can't just delete those, and expect the staff to re-record every time. Not gonna happen. These unanticipated closu

Hi All, Are there registry keys that can be set to automatically hide the Video, Text and Message Tabs in the RC EX desktop app? We are only utilizing the Phone and Fax capabilities and will utilize a separate software for organization chat functions.

I’m enjoying the new templates for custom rules, which is saving me a lot of time applying 2025 holiday schedules to queues. 😎But a question: In step 2 (see below) when I set up call handling there’s a link to the Greeting & Hold Music. Is this greeting for use only when calls match the rule, or is this the same greeting used all the time?This would be a very awesome feature if it was unique to calls that match the rule………..
