Video, Meetings, Webinar, Rooms, & RingCentral Events

Here is a feature that I would love to see. The Why: When a meeting ends, many times you need to grab a few key people and do an immediate debrief meeting or debrief call (no video). Yes as host I could wait til certain people hopped off and say, the following people hang on, but occasionally you want that to be anonymous. I could go to my personal room, invite people, and send, but there should be a WAY easier method. For example: During the main meeting creation, a check box "Schedule Follow-Up Call for Debrief". You can set as phone call or video meeting. Either pre-invite people to it to block time, or option to wait and see attendees list. Many times people get invited or don't make meetings. You host the meeting, it has video, recording, customers, etc. You want to end the meeting and cease all recording and then immediately flip to the follow-up meeting with restricted attendees. When I hit "end meeting", if pre-scheduled, a new meeting immediately

Having had used GoToMeeting and our organization is transitioning to Ringcentral, GoToMeeting showed you the maximum # of participants you could have for your meeting. This information is essential to be aware of, if you plan on having any meeting where you would need more participants than what you have been assigned by your administrator. Thus far, I have had to validate this information by contacting Ringcentral support, but nothing reassures me that this is truly the case for my account, especially if my administrator changes my plan, without my knowledge.

Issue: How to simply hit a button and Send a Meeting Invite from within Ring Central Meetings. We have hundreds of sales people without email clients installed and using their own email addresses from the web.Solution: Ring Central Meetings should have a button that says Send Meeting Invite and actually sends an email from their servers.... not require us to install email clients on hundreds of laptops that require us to maintain. My Team is looking for a way to remove/edit the default meeting invitation to remove the verbiage "Hi There". I know there's an option to add text to the default, but is there an option to remove?

I am new to RC :-)Created a free account. Trying to add a virtual background but I don't have nor see this option. Do free accounts NOT have the option to use virtual backgrounds or even my company logo?

We are finding that our "Follow Up" emails after a webinar are not sending. They are set up prior to the webinar and nothing sends "1 day after webinar". Anyone else experiencing this issue?

My name started appearing as Bethany Barbee- however, everyone knows me as Beth.. how do I change it to Beth for all calls/virtual calls?

When will the migration of virtual backgrounds be available? Why would my previous company have this feature right away and my new company does not. When called told I have to wait until 1st quarter 2021?

When scheduling a meeting and selecting "Internet Audio Only", the meeting invite that is generated does not contain the Meeting ID. The only way to find it is within the meeting URL itself, which is confusing to the average user. We are a healthcare company and have hundreds and hundreds of clients using RC Meetings since telehealth is so big during the pandemic, and when the meeting link doesn't work for them for one reason or another (most likely user error, coupled with not understanding how to copy/paste, etc.), they have no idea what the meeting ID is when they open the RC Meetings app and click on "Join" instead. Is there any way this can be fixed? Thank you very much for any consideration.

Is there a way to set a custom landing page for RingCentral Meetings. The idea is when a user click the join link for a meeting we should have the ability to customize the landing page the user sees. This is something Zoom supports. If not now, is this on the roadmap for RingCentral Meetings?Link to Zoom feature HERE

Hiwe have a lot of Meeting Rooms in the company for which we need to have a better governance. It often happens that employees have issues connecting/joining meetings but with the current set-up we are not able to properly support them when in-need, as if I try to connect a different iPad from the one already available in the room, this one is removed. We would need the possibility to have an “admin” iPad or a web portal which can control all the Meeting Rooms in the building without having to impact attendance.Do you have such a service available?

Prior to the current Sep '20 update you could get the Meeting-ID from a user you just created. Now you cannot without activating the user at creation. What? Please turn this very useful feature back on.We use this to configure InContact with the Meeting ID so agents can create meetings with clients on the fly by clicking a button. Our job now has more steps to go through in creating a user.

My team has been receiving complaints that all of the email notifications are delayed. I had it happen to me today where the meeting started at 9:30AM Central and the attendees had also joined at that time. Since I did not join, it sent me a notification. The notification sent to me is marked at 9:30AM but did not actually receive it until 9:45AM. Outlook shows a timestamp of being received at 9:45AM but it was sent by the sender at 9:30AM.Sounds like a queue issue on RingCentral Meetings outbound SMTP server.Anyone else noticing this?

For RC Meetings polls, who can see the individual results of the poll (by attendee)? The question was asked wrt hosting AGMs in RC, and doing elections (for the board of directors), where the results must not be visible to anyone, including those running the meeting. Is it possible to hide the individual results in this fashion?

Want to schedule and update meetings in Outlook with meeting url generating and invite others to join from Outlook.Since new with Ringcentral, any guidance on how to use that and generate the url with all configuration? Do I need to install any software of Ringcentral for that?

Is there no way to find out who attended your webinar of those who pre-registered?

Profile Picture Does Not Update in RingCentral Meetings

Starting the past weekend, I kept on seeing ads on Facebook for "Ringcentral Video" and their website has info on it. It appears to be a new and separate product but I haven't heard back from our account rep on how we can begin using it and for more details, namely if this will be completely replacing the zoom version.I was able to locate from some screenshots the site is https://v.ringcentral.com/ and that let me log in, but I have no access to anything about the product in my admin portal.

I recorded a meeting in ringcentral meetings. How do I send that recording to someone who could not attend?

While sharing my screen during an RC meeting, if myself and the attendees have our camera's turned on; I would like to have the camera icons in a fixed position either off to the side or at the top or bottom. Currently, it is just a floating icon that has to be moved around if needing to click on a specific area or my screen.

Will RC be adding the option of going live on Facebook with RC Meetings? We would like to use this platform and do away with Zoom completely, but we are currently using this function on a regular basis. Thanks!

This post is in reference to case #11105155. As of today, RingCentral Meetings appears to no longer allow Chromebook users to enter the meetings. All of our customers using Chromebooks today were not able to access our meeting (which is hosted on PC). On our end, we could see them briefly in the meeting before they disconnected, but on their end they would just see a loading screen and would not see themselves being admitted to the meeting. They would then be disconnected. The same issue was replicated by all of our customers using Chromebooks (about 10 today, and there will be more later in the week who will experience the same issue if this is not fixed). Some of our customers only have Chromebooks and don't have any alternative computer to join with, so if they cannot access the meeting on Chromebooks anymore we don't know what we will do to be able to work with these customers. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have already tried uninstalling and re-installing RingCentra

I'm running macOS 10.15.6 Catalina. The RingCentral desktop app apparently pulls the user's computer's account name for a screen name in meetings. I'd like to customize that.

Our company decided to switch from Microsoft Teams to Ring Central Video. We often send messages internally. When I send a message, I have no way of identifying if my team member has read the message unless they reply. On Microsoft teams, there was an eyeball icon next to the message that confirms to me if the team member read the message I have sent. Is there something I'm missing in the settings or will this be an upcoming feature?

Hello. I am submitting this as a feature request. I would like a way to batch or script install new editions of both the Ring Central Desktop App and Ring Central Meetings.Currently, when you install a new version of either app, they do not overwrite the older versions, but coexist with their older counterparts. This makes installing and updating a pain as one has to go after the older remnant installations. The only way to uninstall RC via command prompt is to find the specific uninstall string in the registry and issue this type of command:.msiexec.exe /uninstall "{119A64E4-511B-49E1-9735-002FEDC282DD}"The issue is that whereas the program is loaded to the local appdata folder, and not the program files folder, the command only hits what ever user is currently signed in. The other real pain in the rear is that the uninstall string CHANGES every variant version of the software. So if I had 10 users all on different versions, I would have to get all 10 uninstall strings to uni
