Need to share a video during a meeting and need the participants see the video AND HEAR THE AUDIO. RingCentral Video does not appear to have this option. How do I get participants to hear the computer sound?

I'm looking for the ability to share a video with sound in a video meeting. I can share the application window, but there's no option to share any audio on that screen that comes up to select the window, nor can I find anywhere else in settings or preferences that address the audio selection to be "internal source" as stated in this answer: https://community.ringcentral.com/questions/29241/ringcentral-meetings-screen-share-audio-request.htmlI also cannot see a Basics and Advanced tab, as pictured here: https://support.ringcentral.com/article/8256.html

Is there a way to map from RC to SFDC, the number that someone dialed to reach our RC system? We have a few different numbers we have for marketing purposes, and would like to track in Salesforce which specific numbers our inbound contacts are dialing to reach us.We seem to have a field for it in SF, but no way of mapping that data from RC.. has anyone else wanted/been able to accomplish this?

Hi All,Due to a malfunctioning synchronization, my RingCentral account now has about 8,000 contacts consisting mostly of duplicated entries. I am unable to figure out how to reset the contacts. I checked with RingCentral support and they did not have a way to delete all contacts. It is not possible for me to do this one at a time. Even a screen macro would not work because RingCentral does not show the delete button in the same place for every contact.Does anyone have a script I can use to delete all contacts so I can start over?Thank you in advance.

I'd like to port our current xfintity # to ringcentral. We are just 1 user but when asked to map the number it shows I have 2 ringcentral numbers. The main number and an ext number with my name as the user. I would assume I would map it to the main number? I dont need the second ext number. Did I set something up wrong and how do I get rid of it?

I'm trying to authorize access to the RingCentral Embeddable Widget. After authorizing it now asks the user to confirm the emergency address but the accept button doesn't work so it's not possible to authorize the widget.The console shows an API error.The same happens for me with the demo on the RingCentral site.It has been working fine previously to this change but never asked for address confirmation before.

Multiple tasks across multiple teams in our organization are losing messages in the conversations of task. We are also losing the updates that crossposted into the corresponding posts in the appropriate teams.Are there expiration periods on the posts in a task's conversation or is there a known bug where these disappear? We had been using the conversation panel or tasks extensively so it would be a big issue to have to switch to attachments or some other workaround.Example here. The red line represents an area where originally the task had a posted update, but the text is now missing both from this area AND from the team chat.Thank you,

Does RingCentral adjust breaks and lunches when meetings are added?

Hello, I created an application using Filemaker in which we store client phone numbers, I want to make it where the user can click on the phone number and RingCentral will process the phone call. However I am not able to make the RingOut endpoint work.I am using cURL to make the request, the staff is using the RingCentral Desktop Application for Mac.For some info:I have successfully done API calls like sms, fax etc.When I run the RingOut endpoint I just get "in progress" but the RingCentral application does not open up and process the Call.Any help is much appreciated.

I need to know when a call coming to my cell is from ring central/my business. How do I set it up so it shows that it is a business call being forwarded?

Currently have one last call requirement that I must not be understanding. Primarily in our office, all users are on desk phones. However a few employees are in and out of the office enough, that they have both a desk phone and a softphone (via the app on their smart phone). That way they can answer on either device, the desk phone when they are in the office and the app when they are out of the office.While this is very convenient it does lead to some frustrations and usability issues. If a call is picked up on the softphone, it shows up as a missed call on the desk phone and visa versa. Also, if an employee is on a call on the softphone, the desk phone doesn't show up as busy and calls still come through on it.Is there any way to link or sync the softphone to the desk phone? Ideally, we want a call to only show up as missed if the employee doesnt pick it up on either device. Also, if an employee is on a call on either device they should be considered busy on all devices. Anyone else run into this issue and know if there is any way to address it?

Hi, my client has a IVR with Ringcentral and then we have subscriptions made for the webhooks. Do you know if there is a way to know which calls are being made by the IVR to the call queues? I can't get the information and I need it to send SMS when the call is dropped. Thanks

I have just read an article in the BBC this morning mentioning that all VoIP calls that originate from outside the UK will now be blocked.Seeing as RingCentral makes use of VoIP technology I wanted to know if this will impact RingCentral customers that are based in the UK. Specifically, I'd like to know:Is something being done by RingCentral to make sure that all calls we make will continue to work as they currently do?Are there any changes that our company needs to do to ensure that we can still make calls going forward when this new update occurs?What will happen to a call if it gets redirected to a RingCentral server based outside of the UK?

Has anyone had issues with Scheduler?I installed it a week or two ago via the On Premises install and it would show up under the Outlook 2016 Ribbon when I click New Appointments. This week it is greyed out so I removed it. After re-adding now it only shows up when I create a New Email and only if I click the blue Add-Ins icon on the ribbon. One machine I am unable to Sign In as the Sign In button in the right nav doesn't do anything. A second machine I can sign in but I only get the options within the right navigation box, I don't get any time or date options within my email. If I do the same process in the portal (again On Premises; ex; mail.company.com/owa) I can sign in, I get the options in the right nav and in my email body I can schedule times and dates.

I have a user with multiple desks and that will be performing different functions at each desk. At one desk he will be included in a few different call queues, at another he will only be included in one.Is it possible for me to set him up with multiple phones and accomplish this behavior while only having one internal extension for everyone to call?

Where in the online admin portal web page does admin can change the presence status of a user extension?It seems nowhere you can change it

We have situations where someone needs to find someone in a specific department or based on their job title. In the Ring Central desktop app, when you go to Contacts --> All Contacts, you're only able to search and filter by name. We have loaded locations, job titles and department information into the system but it isn't something that we can use to help find people in the organization. It would be great if that feature could be added in to make it easier to find people without knowing their names.
