My company using Ring Central messaging all day long, which is great, however it would be really nice if folx could flag a message they're posting in Glip to be urgent/important. Ideally, that would make the icon in the tray flash or pop-up and trigger an automatic email if the message isn't responded to within a minute or so. I know this is a feature you can do with Teams and we're struggling to make the case for using RC instead of teams. This would go a long way for our users adopting the tool.

My client uses RC as my company does. We make on-hold programs, MOH. My client says only the first 30 seconds of the message is being heard. a) can that be true? and b) how do I change that? I'd like to know the limit, preferably to be whatever the MOH program length happens to be.

Hi all, I have attempted to discuss this with RingCentral support but haven't gotten very far. I have a PolyCom SoundStation IP 6000 that seems to be stuck in a boot loop due to the RC software on the phone. I have read from another post that the firmware version 4.0.9.1191 should resolve this, but my phone is already running that version. This phone has been working perfectly fine for quite some time but has now had this issue for a little over a month. Issue:1) Phone system boots and loads up the main screen2) After 20-40 seconds the phone will shutdown and reboot and go through the loading process again3) This continues for as long as the phone is powered onI have heard this is due to phones being purchased from a third party and not directly through RC. With phones being 1/2 the cost or better elsewhere, is this RC's way of forcing customers to buy through them?

Has anyone else experienced issues with delayed audio or choppy calls when a call has been transferred to your extension? We have had this issue with RC since the very beginning. We have been with them about a year now. I have reached out to support many times regarding this, but typically get told there is nothing they can do or that it is being escalated. I have never heard back from the escalation team. If you have experienced this issue, can you please let me know if there is anything that you have done to help with this situation? We have tried switching out handsets, uninstalling and reinstalling apps, and even had our internet company come out to check our lines. We have well over the recommended internet speed needed to support VoIP. Nothing has seemed to help.

Can a limited extension be a member of a call queue?My specific situation involves a medical practice with two physical desktop phones at the front desk. There can be any of 4 people sitting there. All four people have RC extensions assigned to them by name, so that they can use messaging and the mobile phone app. If the two physical desktop phones are assigned to limited extensions (because those are cheaper), can those limited extensions be members of the "Front Desk" call queue? There can be several personnel changes throughout the day so I don't want to be constantly swapping desk phones to different users.Thanks,

I would like to be able to report on P2P messaging from the Admin portal inside Ring Central. I guess think of it like a Call Log Report but for SMS. I would also like to get information from the SMS provider as far as delivery rates, agent quarantine, etc. Right now i am not aware of any of this type of information for SMS.

To get the owner_id, '/restapi/oauth/token' endpoint is called with the received 'code. Hi,I am setting up a client in the health care with high faxing demands with Ring Central Cloud faxing. I'm wondering for high volume power users and fax intense environments should we setup an ATA adapter or scan to email (email to fax (@rcfax.com)). From the computer, we can of course use the Ring Central Desktop app, but I am wondering what would be the best FAX setup for MFP machines.Also, should we move to VoIP faxing with Ring Central or should we stick with POTS/Analog and simply add more physical fax lines.

(I know there is a parameter for detailed, please read) Is there another call to make for detailed instead of simple? In Python I would just add '"view" : "Detailed"' in my params and the output would let me parse through all of the detailed output. We have some users stating that their status is being changed to invisible by itself. The agents are using the RingCentral Desktop app. Is there a timeout period or inactivity period that might automatically change an agents status?

Ring Central should make the Ring Central Virtual Print to Fax printer available in the new Ring Central app so we do not have to keep using the old Ring Central Desktop app. Many clients would like to be able to print from their Line of Business application to the Ring Central virtual fax printer and this should be on the road map in the next update release of the new Ring Central desktop app to be able to enable the Ring Central Virtual Print to Fax printer as the new Ring Central Desktop app is better than the old Desktop app but this is a missing function right now. We now have to maintain knowledge on both apps.

Hi,Recently graduated my app, and I have so far been unable to make any calls to the production side.I updated client_id, secret, username, ext, and password as shown in the app account console.I have tested being able to log into https://service.ringcentral.com/, I am able to successfully log into the account via my email + password, however, if I try the the number it doesn't match and won't log me in.In my app, I have tried to use the email and the phone number provided, tried without an extension number as I saw that as a possible work around in another thread, but so far I have not had any luck.I am slightly unsure as to which password should be used at this point after reading many conflicting things on here. As changing my password from the app/console and then using that doesn't seem to be accepted when tried with a number, but will with an email address. Whats happened to the feature of allowing external emails to message a use?, by simply adding clip.com to the persons Glip email address, eg if a persons login email is cheech@company.com anyone could (depend on settings) send an email to cheech@company.com.glip.com and the messaged would arrive in Cheech's Ring Central app messages.I see that this has been applied to teams, using this kind of email address 211912341302@1223830561.mvp.ringcentral.com so external users can email it. (although RC have done a very good job of hiding this feature from users so its not easily found)This was a handy feature in glip. When I try to set the outbound callerId property in the RequestBody and submit the request, nothing happens. The call does not even initiate the first leg of the call. If I remove it, everything works fine. My account manager and text support says there is no way to fix it. Every time I text the word "marijuana" the text is blocked. Occasionally, my entire text messaging system is locked down. Over the past 4 months or so, I've probably spent 8 hours on the phone with customer service and technical support trying to fix this issue.Despite assertions to the contrary, I have not broken the acceptable use policy by texting about marijuana.They have also informed me that I cannot get a refund even though the product I purchased (the ability to fax, call AND text clients) was never delivered.Is anyone going to lift this ban on my texting or should I start looking elsewhere for phone service?
