I was wondering if we could configure the RC desk phone to ring before the desktop and mobile apps? It would also be nice to separate the desktop and mobile apps to configure them on their own as well.

I use the RC mobile app on my Android phone. Sometimes when a person calls, the phone rings. Other times, nothing happens and I just get a voicemail. This has been a problem for me for 2 years now. It hasn't just happened in my current environment, but even when I was using the browser app (instead of the phone app) it would do this. How can I get some form of reliability out of this thing? Whenever I talk to support they just call the number and it's usually a day that it's working so they just shrug me off. I'm not sure what to do.

We are looking for someone to support out RC system for us. We would like to be able to have someone who can take our requests and implement them in RC. We are not looking for developer level support, we just need someone who can reconfigure RC when we need it. A little about our system. We use RC in a shared environment. We have three offices being served by one receptionist and office has a different number associated with them. We had the RC system setup initially to display the number the caller dialed so the receptionist knew how to answer the phone based on the number the caller dialed. We also have a remote office and the phones for both offices are answered from one locations. We are needing to change how and to who the calls are routed when someone calls a specific number. How do I make it so it runs on a TOKEN that I get from some backend API and not expose my app's sensitive data.

I am trying to figure out how to generate test data for the readCallRecording api to be able to create and retrieve this information. I have left voicemail on the test number, sent sms and made phone calls. But I'm not sure how do I get the recording ID needed for the readCallRecording api. Thank you in advance.

I have a person who left the company. I have re-assigned their phone to another person. The email notifications for voicemails still is going to the old employee. How can I remove them from the notification list?

I just updated to the new version of the RingCentral app and I'm very confused! When I create a new fax, the only information it asks for is the fax number, which cover page, and the note you'd like to add to the cover page. There's no place to add the recipient's info. The cover sheet, no matter which one I choose, ends up only having my company's information filled out. Am I missing something? Where are the recipient fields?

In the desktop "Phone App" (not the RC App) there is a setting to connect to Outlook contacts and it includes all/any Contacts subfolders of Contacts. This setting will enable displaying Contact names instead of phone numbers in the sms messages (instead of their phone number) and also enables us contacting them by name easier within the RC App. Now that we are trying to move fully to only the RC App on mobile and all other devices including Windows desktops, all our Contacts are in a Microsoft account - so we use the Connect to Microsoft setting in the RC app, BUT it is NOT displaying contact names in any of our Microsoft Contacts subfolders - we manage several subfolders of contacts to enable finding/browsing them easier on all our devices (mobile/tablet/computers) and also for sharing only specific contacts with other users. Only the contacts in the root/default Contacts folder is being connected by the RC Contacts Connect function. We have had to reinstall the old RC Phone App

Here is the issue with "ask first" not working all the time:Agent 1 answers call from call queueAgent 1 then searches for Agent 2, clicks on Agent 2 name, then clicks on "ask first" to warm transfer the call that came into the queue.The system then calls Agent 2, Agent 2 picks up the phone but cannot hear Agent 1. In turn Agent 1 doesn't hear Agent 2 and cannot "ask first" to transfer the call. There's just "dead air" on both ends.When "ask first" doesn't work, the greeting and hold music is "cut" when Agent 1 clicks on "ask first" and there is no hold music when calling Agent 2. This is the "tell" to Agent 1 that "ask first" is going to fail.Is this a known issue with "ask first" not working all the time? Looking for an API to control the RC Desktop App to authenticate, sign out, join scheduled video meetings and in call controls (audio & camera mute state, sharing, etc.)

Recently we changed our Message Retention policy from "Keep all messages" to retain only the last 90 days. The process to purge messages runs nightly according to RC documentation. However, any messages created before the date of the policy change do not get removed. I've opened a ticket with RC and the response is that only messages created AFTER the date of the policy change will be affected. In addition, I've been told by RC that they do not have a way to delete old messages but there "MAY" be a way for a site superadmin to delete messages. I'm interested in removing messages older than 90 days and then let the message retention policy do the work going forward. Does anyone know how to delete old messages?

Is there better way to run/save a call log report? csv files, screenshots, etc. are not the most suitable reports when needed for legal reasons (submissions to the courts) is there a 3rd party software that would create a PDF file, with the RingCentral Logo? maybe even our company logo?

Just to preface, I have a user I'm trying to edit since they have 2 lines and phones attached to them. I need to remove one, though I'm not getting the option to do so. Is there anything that can be done to remove a phone from the user? Or will this be a situation where the user has to be removed and a few things moved around to get everything to work how I need it to? Edit: Follow up question, would moving the line to a new user being created be feasible or would that just cause the same issue I'm running into currently?

We have an agent that when an call comes in from the outside and not part of the max agent contact center it causes the Max Agent to crash. Happens several times a day. Not sure how to debug this. It does not happen for all agents and there is nothing obviously incorrect with the setup for the agent. Appreciate any insight.

I have the RingCentral Desktop app connected to my Microsoft account, but not all of the contacts seem to be syncing. In my contacts in MSFT, I have a sub-folder, and none of those are pulling into RingCentral. Any ideas?

Hello, Can we restrict Sign-In of users to specific tenant / domain only? I.e. users that try to use different domain than the one used for their enterprise will not be able to sign-in to ACO. For example, in Microsoft there is an option to restrict login of the users to specific Tenant/domain using https://login.microsoftonline.com/ || . Users who try to use email address with different domain than allowed will fail to login. Thanks.
