We have several staff members who are assigned to their department’s phone queue. From time to time, they may also need to answer calls from a different queue. I have added them to those additional queues, but it does not appear that users can opt in or out of individual queues separately. Instead, the only available setting seems to be “accept calls from queue” for all queues they belong to. It would be very helpful if users could choose which specific queues they are actively accepting calls from. That would eliminate the need to manually add and remove staff members at different times, especially when they do not need to receive calls from the secondary queue on a regular basis.

I am looking to setup SIP trunking. My use-case, is to connect Retell’s voice agent.I want to setup termination URI and credential based auth for SIP trunking. I looked through documentation and other forum questions, could not find an answer.Any help is appreciated.

We are new to RingCentral. We’re getting a lot of calls where nobody is on the other end - much more than we did with our old system.  It’s disconcerting because we are getting a lot of calls that work as expected, but we’re not sure if we’re missing potential clients or if they’re spam calls?  I found this question asked about 3 years ago and the answer pointed to a link that seemed to be about Robocall Mitigation, but the article has been removed from RC.  I’d appreciate any update or insight if this has happened to others.

We have a Call Queue number that our staff use as their outgoing caller ID sometimes, When staff use this it comes up with a Caller ID that isn’t correct, where can I get this changed? For example when you call out using the Call Q Number the receiving phone get’s “Company Name Tasmania Burnie” but we want it to just say “Company Name Tasmanaia” 

I am new to this community.  My need is to use the API to retrieve call data and queue information (call history) in RingCX.  Most of the documentation deals with tasks such as placing calls or changing settings but that is not relevant to my needs.  I have spent a lot of time digging around but if I could just get an example in C#.NET of how to retrieve historical data that would be very helpful.

We are pulling several “Get”s from the API and using them to create custom dashboards.  The issue is that RingCentral considers any call that doesn’t get answered as Missed or VM/Missed, even if its an afterhours call.  We are looking for a Get that we can use to filter the call data based on “After Hours” or “Custom Rules”. We want all calls that are routed outside of “Business Hours” or “Work Hours” to be identified and put into a different container. We use a mix of programming to route calls; Users with Work Hours and Auto Receptionists with Business hours and Closed hours.  

I just learned that a paid third-party app is required to integrate RC SMS into Zoho. I asked customer service reps from both companies if RingCentral and Zoho integrated and if I could send/rec RingCentral SMS in Zoho, and both said yes. I guess it is my fault for not asking the right question. Only telephony natively integrates.I need to figure out how to integrate RingCentral SMS into my Zoho CRM Standard account. The extensions I have found so far are expensive and require a Zoho Enterprise account and/or webhooks (not included in Zoho Standard). Does anyone have any ideas? Is RC developing an app for its customers? Zoho is a popular CRM. Thanks.

We have moved from Panasonic PBX to Yealink T-54W. We can still page to overhead speakers using an Algo adapter, but RingCentral requires the EXT number be inputted to do so. Is there a way to bypass the requirement of inputting the ext number, and essentially only pressing Page to successfully reach the speakers overhead?

Hi,I’ve been usingt he AI Notes function in RingCentral fo a little while now, but I have found that it has been inconsistent for the recording of specifc words/phrases in the Transcript, as well as in the Notes, As an example, the company I work for is MailGuard, but most of the time, in both the Transcript and Notes, it is more likley to write it as “Mailgard”.I correct this in the Notes, and then save it. But this is happening over and over again.It is also showing “MMailgard” as incorrect, with a red squiggly line under the word when I open the Note in edit mode.Is there any way to teach the AI specific Spelling of words/phrases?

Hello RingCentral community!I am looking for some clarification for the SMS content policy.Background: We are a clinical lab that tests mainly for illicit drugs, and we use RingCentral’s SMS to discuss results with doctors and such. This type of communication in the testing world usually includes some interesting vernacular that would normally violate the SMS content policy. But, sometime last year we reached out to RingCentral to see if they would except us from the content policy (in which they have) for a few words such as “Meth” and "Heroine.”The Issue: We are trying to whitelist more words so that we can use RingCentral’s SMS (specifically “Cocaine” and “Xylazine”) without using street names like “booger sugar” and “za za” (very unprofessional). We noticed recently that RingCentral AI assistant can transcribe and summarizes calls. Is there a way to those summaries into our Customer Relationship Management system? Steps/ Workarounds attempted:(According to talking to tech/dev support and personal tests with APIs) AI assistant data cannot be accessed via API which means any movement would be extremely manual.   RingSense (including at additional cost) has a very limited integration currently only containing a handful of Microsoft products none of which are a CRM.  RingSense API (beta) cannot be used on RingCentral’s media URLs because the RingSense API can only be used on “publicly accessible url.” This could be used if we moved our RingCentral media URL’s to a publicly accessible URL but then it would mean that all our call data would be publicly accessible. Do you know how we can get call summarizes into a CRM? 

When I get a call from a call queue if I click "Ignore Call" on my desktop app the Incoming Call screen goes away and then pops right back up a few seconds later. Same thing on the phone app. Using an Android phone if I decline a call, it goes away for a second then just comes right back up. This is extremely annoying. Please look into fixing it. If I ignore a call, I want it ignored. I don't care if it's in a queue and nobody else is answering. If I'm busy, I'm busy.

We have several call queues that we want to have as “shared” e-mail boxes. In our old Cisco system, we forwarded voicemails to a shared mailbox in Outlook so everyone works out of 1 queue. I would much prefer not having to rely on e-mail and having the drop down in everyones software to be able to work out of the same queue, so when a message is deleted it no longer needs to be looked at. When you add someone as a co-recipient, it does exactly that and it adds the box to a dropdown in your voicemail tab. I have a message only extension set up already. I previously recorded a custom greeting which worked well but now I need to delete that greeting and use an updated version with new information. When I click to edit the custom message, it only gives me the option to either listen to the current greeting or download it. It doesn’t let me upload or delete. How can I get this old greeting off so I can upload the newly recorded greeting?  These are audio pre-recorded greetings so I am not trying to record these in real time. I just need to be able to add the audio file. 

Running Desktop App version 23.1.22.6903. My RingCentral is connected to a google calendar. I follow the steps to schedule a video meeting for tomorrow at 6pm. I choose to use the copy paste method of inviting attendees and click on schedule the meeting. The message tells me that the video meeting is successfully scheduled, however the meeting does not appear in the Upcoming meetings area.How do I get this functionality to work correctly ?

Hello, I've heard that the Ring Central AI can help with the answering of calls, etc.  Our business is pretty simple and our Auto Receptionist handles and routes a good percentage of our calls.  We have a Call Queue setup as well, but sometimes we don’t have enough staff to actually answer the call if it gets to our Human Receptionist.  How can AI help with these calls?  What is AI doing that the Auto Receptionist cannot do?  thanks

I’m wanting to copy the settings and all the FAQ’s, knowledge base, Transfer by context settings to a new AIR that i have to create without manually having to go in and recreate all of these on the AIR that I created. Is that a option?

My AI Receptionist is interrupting callers when they are answering questions. This is happening when they are providing their email addresses or explaining why they are calling. The AI Receptionist is also not ending calls after scheduling the appointment. Is there a way to fix these issues? For example, is there a way to have the AI Receptionist ask if there is anything else it can help with and if the caller says no, the AI Receptionist can end the call.
