We sometimes receive calls into the wrong department. It would be nice to be able to transfer calls to the call queue of the correct department rather than choosing an individual to transfer to. Thanks!

According to this article ((1) Update Call Queue Messages and Notification Settings on the RingCentral Online Account), which by now may have been conveniently changed, it states that the option mark voicemails as read once they've been emailed should be available to select. However, the whole advanced settings menu is missing with no way to enable it.Live Chat tried to tell me it's better for it to go to a specific extension, and create an email distribution group which is great but then the forwarded users personal voicemail will also go the distribution group.All I'm trying to achieve is once a call comes into the call queue group and goes to voicemail, it gets automatically marked as read once the email goes it with the attachment on. Doesn't seem there is a way to do this unless I'm mistaken

New to this...How do I set up an extension on a handset in a common area/room so that the extension can only dial to other extensions. The extension does not need outside dialing.Thanks,ft.

How can a call queue member access and manage the voice mail messages left on call queue voice mail box? Can a member manage the vm's from the RingCentral windows client?and/or Web Client?As Call Queue manager with full access we can see and manage the vm from the web client but can do from the desktop client?

Our app works fine in Sandbox, however in Production it's throwing a 403 error. We're using the correct credentials for each environment, and have the phone numbers in E.164 format.Any suggestions for steps that may also be needed to get approval on the app?

I'm currently trying to delete users I'm using for testing purposes in order to be able to run more tests on my Sandbox environment.I have disabled the desired user first, as is required to have the Delete option be available, but am not able to delete it.- I have tried using the tickbox next to the User's name and clicking Delete in the top ribbon. I get the pop-up warning about deleting users and how it cannot be undone. I proceed and see "Bulk Operation in Progress" going, and then finish without any further notices or errors, but the user is not deleted.- I have also tried using the three dots on the right-hand side of the user and clicking Delete. Similarly, I have the "Are you sure you want to delete the selected user" warning message. When I click on Delete, I get an error message with "We are sorry. Your request cannot be completed at this time. Please try again later.".I initially thought it

I have gotten used to the new desktop app and I have started to like it, but I'm puzzled as to why there are so many design inconsistencies between the mobile app and the desktop app. Did the developers not talk to each other?For instance - my contacts are completely different on my phone than my desktop. If I'm at my desk and the phone rings, it will show up as Person A on the desk caller Id and Person B on my mobile caller id. Seems like they would both be accessing the same contact list. Is the contact list stored on each device not on the cloud?Also, on the mobile app, I love the ability to filter to view unread/unheard messages. Can't do that on the desktop app.

I've also called the support line twice and started a ticket but both calls dropped.The first time I noticed the issue and learned to live with, was the way texts appeared when using the mobile app on my android. Texts were not in chronological order. The workaround for me was simply to then log into my desktop app and the texts seemed to be in order. I have recently became a Ring Central client. I have noticed some differences in the PC app and the Mobile Phone App. When I assign a task I can do a reply in the app to the task and it keeps it noted in the task but you can not do this in the pc app. In the pc app you can only respond in the team witch has all the task in it so you cant tell witch task your responding to. Where is the Reply to task like the mobile app has.

We are having some trouble getting our app graduated to prod. We know we have enough successful requests to graduate (according to our dev team), but the dashboard hasnt updated in 3 hours and wont let us submit it for review. Is there a way I can force the dashboard to update or a way to manually get the app into prod?

I am brand new user and have tried to google up this answer, to no avail. We just started using RC at my company and I do not understand the difference between "Desktop & Mobile Apps" and "XYZ's Softphone" (see pic below). These are the defaults that got created with our accounts, but to me they both refer to the same thing? Or does Desktop in this case refer to a physical handset sitting on top of desk and if that is the case, what is meant by "mobile apps"? I thought Softphone referred to the software applications that run RC on my laptop/PC and/or my mobile devices. Please help clarify. Thanks in advance--

Some of our users are abusing the ability to change their hold music. Access is granted to them through the "Standard" role. I don't see any options to create a custom role though, is there a way to block their access to the hold music on their extensions?

I am trying to find a way to record JUST the speaker in a Glip Ringcentral video meeting. It is available in Ringcentral Meetings, but not Glip's Ringcentral. This is a deal breaker for Ringcentral - whether it be a teacher using this for virtual classroom or a business meeting, being able to record just the teacher/leader is an essential ingredient that should be rectified immediately! But in the meantime, is there a work-around to record just the speaker? I love Glip but without this necessary function - too many will be forced to move to another platform! Glip Ringcentral has so much to offer that other platforms lack but this..... THIS is unacceptable and deems it non-functional for many in education and business - and will cause many to jump to another program. I have been consulting schools, churches and businesses, touting Glip..... but what to do about this one huge STRIKE.... I know you all have amazing ideas! Shoot them at me! HELP!

The application for a municipality is this: Outside caller dials a 10-digit phone number. The call rings multiple phones. Someone answers the call. And immediately both sides of the conversation is heard overhead through paging. So far Algo and CyberData say it cannot be done.It would be great if I can use the existing overhead paging system that consists of amplifier and speakers/horns. But if I need to completely replace the overhead paging with IP units that is ok.

Hello,Ever since the most recent update, the chime is no longer playing when an attendee enters the waiting room (on both RingCentral Meetings AND RingCentral Video). Now, when someone enters the waiting room, I only get a text notification on the top of my screen (no sound). Once the attendee has been admitted into the meeting, however, I do hear the chime. I am running macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 on a 2018 MacBook Air with an Intel processor.
