I recently updated the RingCentral app on my Windows 10 desktop. Since the update, all lines (direct dial and main number) in the office (14 lines) ring on my phone. Also, if I answer a call on my Plantronics headset, I can not transfer calls to another extension. I have to put the call on hold, pick up the call from the handheld and then transfer. I am the person all calls funnel through when they dial the main number. This is a very irritating.

If an SMS has the "Delivered" status, does that mean that it for sure got to their phone? Or at that point, could it still be blocked by the carrier? I have an instance of someone not getting SMS while the status says "Delivered."

When looking at the Desktop soft phone app, I notice that only a small subset of SMS emoji characters are available to choose from. I've also noticed that both incoming as well as outgoing SMS which includes other emojis not listed in that menu (such as those generated by the iOS emoji keyboard) may or may not always come across thru RingCentral.Is there a list of supported emoji characters and the appropriate way to encode them for use via the REST API?

I am new to RingCentral and need help on how to test the RingCentral integration with the RingCentral dialer. Do I need to use the RingCentral dialer? Or can I call my RingCentral phone number from a regular phone to test the call?I have a RingCentral developer account, and I am trying to test my OAuth configuration and calls to receive the webhooks. I installed the RingCentral app on Mac and on login I get this message:Sorry, you currently don't have permission to access this service. Contact your administrator to change permissions.Can you please let me know what I am missing here and how I can debug/test my RingCentral integration?

I had a user set up an account on his own through the web instead of letting us create his account in the portal. Now his email address is already in use. How do I add this account in?

Is there someplace that you list the text shortcuts for the various emojis?For example, :point_up: in your text will be replaced with the "finger pointing up" emoji, and :+1: will be replace with the "thumbs up" emoji.Where is a list of these shortcuts? Can anyone help me understand the different usage of the Paradigm "Contact Start" and "True to Interval" as it applies to figuring out how many emails come in on any specific day? I pull the skill performance with Contact start and get 232 queued for one email skill. When I pull it with True to Interval I get 525 queued for that same skill.

Hi all,We're all looking to build a simple web app to accompany our RingCentral account (with 5 lines). Ideally, we'd like the API to be able to authenticate with RingCentral behind the scenes and automatically choose an available 'line' to ring out on so that the user doesn't have to directly authenticate with RingCentral (only our own system) and not worry about which line they're ringing out on. Our own system can handle line limits, etc.Is this possible with the RingCentral API (and ideally JavaScript) implementations or does the end user have to sign in directly with RingCentral credentials?Thanks in advance,Ben

I'm in a team of support members who receive incoming calls regularly. Since yesterday morning I have been experiencing an issue where an incoming call instantly fails and is counted as missed. I didn't look into it further because I ended up doing outgoing calls for the rest of the day and got too busy to think of it again.I figured the issue would have been resolved with a restart to my PC, but I see that isn't the case.I am interfacing with Ring Central through a page I had open in Firefox. I tried Chrome, but the situation got even stranger because queue calls wouldn't even be sent to me, even though I was in the queue.I've logged out and back into Ring Central, both on the Windows app I have installed, as well as the plugin on our ticket website. HelloWe use waiting rooms for special meetings like board rooms. The host accidentally removed a user from waiting room instead of allowing user in. Currently the only way for user to re-join the meeting is to login from another device. Is that possible for that security feature to be disabled either globally or on per user basis? I understand the need for it to be there but it should be toggle feature instead of default.Thank you

We have had RingCentral for years and loved it. I left the firm for about a year and have came back to the exact same settings for notifications, yet we are receiving none. Only about 50% of our faxes seem to make it to the destination and we have no idea until 30 days later when we have to follow up on them. We need to fix this ASAP. All of our emails are in the transmittal result notification page, everything is accurate. There are no "rules" in my email account, they are not being sent elsewhere.

Looking through the API reference but I don't see anything like this. One of the things we want to do with the API is things like:Provision new usersDeprovision usersmodify users information.What I don't see is a way to find user's so you can get the internal user ID in order to do these things. Is that even possible? Are the things above even possible with the API?

So we currently have a user assigned an active webinar license (let's say webinar 100). This user has existing webinars scheduled and is frequently in use (actively doing a webinar). If I would like to assign a new webinar 500 license to that user, I have no choice but to "unassign" the existing 100 license then I need to assign the 500 license to this user. That being said, will this modification disrupt any on going webinar and/or remove scheduled webinars?
