The new analytics is a step in the right direction, but we really need to have a daily and weekly reports to provide data during certain hours of the day, say 8:00AM to 6:00PM.  I understand you can login and get the data for an individual day by selecting custom filter for one specific day.It seems kinda normal that one would want to run a daily report (subscription) for "yesterday" with specific hours.  Likewise, understanding weekly or monthly data for prime time should be an obvious reporting requirement.Right now, the only way I am able to analyze any of this data is to dump the company numbers (the "Calls" now do not report on queues in the export) data and do a bunch of complex excel formulas and pivot tables to get useful KPIs for queues.In addition, the users and calls reports do not display abandoned calls.  How is one to be able to dive in and find out when calls are being missed?Am I missing something?

I’m relatively new to the RC community and I wanted to share my use case before implementing and get your feedback. BackgroundOur system runs on the Salesforce platform (Custom Objects and Account/Contact only) so we leveraged the “RingCentral for Salesforce app” which works pretty well. The different users are given a RC phone number and an extension to connect the softphone with RC and everything is fine: they can handle inbound and outbound calls, records are properly updated etc. Also, worth to mention that the users (around 100) are grouped in 20 different teams, and a user can belong to more than one team. Our clients are served with a specific team which is assigned at the beginning of the onboarding process. Does anyone know of any historical reports (or how to build any custom reports) that will show skillset level reporting on emails in contact centre?I’ve built reports for voice, and there are pre-built reports that have filters for email/digital etc but despite receiving emails in and handling them, this data isn’t showing in the historical reports. Looking to get similar metrics to voice - emails in, handled etc 

About a year ago I submitted an application to RingCentral for SMS access for my small civil engineering business.  Like others who would like to avail themselves of this service, we do not market via SMS and we do not send unsolicited messages to anyone.  We also do not sell our contacts’ information to third parties or text people who do not want to be texted.  We just want to stop using our personal phones to text clients and employees when we have a phone system we should be able to use for it.  I can send our employees texts and clients by dialing from my desk phone, but that is incredibly inconvenient when I should be able to just type and send them from my computer.  For users like me, what is the difference between using the dial pad on my phone or the RC app for text messages?  My SMS application was rejected because our website was down for a few weeks while it was being updated.  But even if it had been up, we did not have the appropriate privacy policies or terms & c

How long must a call be to be registered on reporting as a complete call?

New Ring Central users here. When we transfer a call to another extension, the caller is hearing a 2nd recorded greeting. How do I eliminate the 2nd greeting on the transfer? Our callers do not need to hear a full second greeting. the transfer time is too long with it.

In preparation for the upcoming firmware upgrade, I would like to generate a list of all our hardware phones and their current firmware versions to make sure the upgrade applied properly. Is there a way to generate that in the management console?

Hello- I have a main account with 6 users lines. 3 of those lines I set up on SMS they need to be able to directly communicate with customers and not only send text but also receive the direct reply. The extensions are ready to use on the admin portal. It worked for the first day it was ready they did receive incoming messages, however the next day they stopped seeing any incoming. In the Incoming SMS it only shows the desk user numbers and these are not the 3 for the incoming domestic lines needed for incoming messages. Can any one provide help?

I am having an impossible time trying to get support for an issue on the new app. Since having installed the newest version, I can no longer listen to my voicemails on my headset! I have reached out to customer support, who only verified that I had all the correct settings in place, and suggested I post here. This has been quite disappointing. IF I do want to listen to a VM, I need to do so via my computer speakers. Sure wish the dev team would address this quickly. The old version worked like a charm in this regard.

We are moving away from Skype to RingCentral.   I’m wondering if Ring can show “away” in the Status more accurately.  Currently it appears that a person’s status remains green/available until a timeout puts them as Offline or they physically log out or disconnect from Wi-Fi.  It would be nice if there is an in-between “Away from keyboard - Yellow” status, that would indicate the person is logged on, but is not currently active.  Skype indicates this away status when a person locks their screen or times out.  Our employees find it very difficult to interpret “Offline” as Ring portrays it. 

How Can I exclude a Lunch State from the Excluding Lunch State from Voice Agent Non-Utilized Time Rate metric? Im basically trying to calculate what percent of a reps time logged in is spent in a work state other than available or lunch?

How do I add a person to an existing texting group? 

Is the shared contact list feature not added yet? We do believe its an important and very helpful feature.

How can I record the call and record my screen at the same time? I am able to record what I am doing on my screen by starting and recording a meeting, and it records what I am saying, but you can not hear the person on the other line. 

Does the other user need a specific type of phone to accept a video call request from RingCentral? 

I have subscribed to telephone sessions, i am receiving the webhooks all is good, and from what i understand that i have to submit the supervise request if the status in party is “Answered”. The issue is that i am receiving two “Answered” webhooks fotr the same telephony session. It is confusing. On the first “answered” if i submit supervise request i will get the 409 confict error. And as soon as the second “Answered” comes the supervise request is successfull. Is there anything i can rely on to send the supervise request?Regards

Good afternoon,  Our company migrated to RC about 3 months ago and are still having persistent issues with outbound calls being marked as spam. We ported over numbers from a lot of different providers but nearly all my users are now back to using the same phone numbers they used to have and have their Outbound Caller ID set to their respective company/office number. We are also using a Custom Caller ID but that doesn’t even show up when I’ve tried calling my own phone or others, just the company number that’s set as outbound.Despite this, they are still being marked as spam by our customers. I have two questions. 1. Is there a simple step I’ve overlooked to prevent this issue from happening? 2. If not, it looks like my last resort would be to try the Free Caller Registry. I’ve downloaded the cnam list from our RC account already. When I register does each number need to have the same Display Name (aka the Custom Caller ID)?I’d

Admittedly, this is a dumb question. But I can’t find the answer so I’m here to ask anyway. Where can I find the naming convention for the application scopes? For example, is it “ReadAccounts” or “Read Accounts” or “Read_Accounts” or “Read-Accounts”? Or none of the above?  Thanks in advance.

already did trouble shooting with Frontier Agent , try to get assistance with ring central.unable to get access due to creating a ring central case #.need help getting technician to come to our office. its been more than one month to trouble shoot this issue. we need this to be fixed asap. 

I’m a bit confused as to what RingCentral supports regarding transcriptions and call recordings and meeting recordings.Fundamentally, I would like to be able to access a transcription text file for any given call recording or meeting recording via the API. Is this possible? It’s pretty easy to do this in MS Teams, and I want to do the same in RingCentral, as it is in many ways superior to Teams. However, it’s simply not clear what Ring Central supports.

I have call monitoring implemented using call monitoring API in RingEx, now I want to implement the same for a RingCX system. What API’s should be used?
