I am buying a Light Phone which is a simple cell phone with no apps. I would like to be able to use it with my Ring Central number as my RC device. Effectively, it would become my work phone. Is it possible to set up RC to use this phone as my device?

Using the Contact History Report, I can listen to the ACD Recording of Inbound and Outbound calls, but not Callbacks and Voicemails. I know where to retrieve the Voicemail file, but where is the ACD Recording of the call that follows?

Is there a option that would allow a customer to input a 4-8 digit account number after being prompt to?

My company would like to establish automated text drip campaigns through what I would assume to be an API/CRM that could be integrated with RingCentral. Ideally, this would send out automated text messages to our customers the day prior to their rentals being delivered, another automated text to notify customers that their rental ends tomorrow and that they must call us to schedule pickup, and then automated reminder texts each week updating their balance for the additional days of the rental ($70 for example) while also reminding the customer they must call us to schedule a pickup. I was able to set up 2 park locations that display on our Poly Phones, however I cannot get them to work. 1) The lines do not blink or light at all to indicate that a call is parked there 2) you cannot pick up the parked call by hitting the soft key, we simply get an error message "Call is no longer available to pick up", but if you dial in to the park location the call is actually still there. Anyone have any solutions?

Hello All,Is it possible to change the outgoing caller ID name for a number that is set as auto receptionist?

We use Message-only extensions for receiving faxes and have about 25 of them set up for various departments. Received faxes are then sent to shared email boxes for each department. This generally works well. I've received a couple complaints this week about faxes being partially received. A look at the call log shows that most of our fax extensions have plenty of errors and partials. A couple of our busier extensions have none, but those departments mainly receive from big healthcare systems who use e-fax. (RC blocking some of those as robocalls is a different problem) I've been doing this long enough to know that the most likely explanation is the sender but the fact that I have so many errors in the logs over the last 60 days leads me to wonder if anyone else using RC to receive faxes has noticed an uptick. There should be a way to assign an MVP license without a DID number. We have people that do not need to receive direct calls but need a fully featured MVP account. I would like the ability to create MVP accounts with extensions only.

Good Afternoon,The agency I work for wants to have a hotline people can call in on and leave voicemails but they want it to be anonymous. I have been trying to find a way to set this up with a message-only extension but I have not been able to hide the incoming callers number or information.Has anyone had any experience with creating an extension like this?

The majority of our users make and receive calls through the desktop phone app exclusively (they don't use a desk phone or the mobile app). As I was going through user device settings I found that some users have two devices listed- RingCentral Phone app and Softphone- but the former doesn't seem to be utilized. So I'm a bit confused as to why it's showing at all and if this is how it should be.Here's a screenshot of what I am referring to.Now, if I open the RC Phone app details, it shows "Offline", which is why I unpublished it.

I have the following business problem: A customer wants to call us to speak, but is either international in which case it's expensive for them, or we want to do a screenshare or video call.One option could be to join a meeting (either RingCentral, Teams, etc). However, we don't know when they're going to call and don't want to leave an open meeting indefinitely. Also, it would be great to know from any device we're on when they join, with a notification.WhatsApp sort of accomplishes this, but that is tied to a personal #, and doesn't do screensharing. Is there a way that RingCentral can allow the user to call us from a web page (but not RingMe which just calls them on their phone), or that RingCentral Meeting can allow a personal meeting link whereby when the user joins it alerts us to join too?

Is there still not a way to see deleted text messages? The last time someone asked was in 2020. I called and the person I was spoke with kept insisting I could and trying to walk me through it, but what he was trying to get me to do did not make sense.

On the RC App, contacts are sorted by FIRST name. There is no way to change sort order. This is nuts and has to be an error? I've called about this a few times and do not get very far. Can this be updated immediately as a critical fix and not wait for a standard build and quarterly update? To be clear, contacts should be sorted by LAST Name: Jane Doe should be listed in the D's and not the Js.

Issues using Einstein Conversation Insights (ECI) with RingCentral APIs

In our Salesforce workflow, we utilize click-to-dial functionality with RingCentral to initiate outbound calls. Our goal is to associate Activities/Tasks generated by RingCentral with specific Campaigns using a custom related field. For instance, when we make an outbound call on a Lead that is already associated with a Campaign, an Activity is automatically generated and linked to that Lead. In our use case it's possible to have more than one Campaign associated to a Lead, so we have to track that on the Activity level. We've explored the option of creating an Apex Trigger to manage this process. However, it appears that accessing Activity records using before insert or before update triggers is not possible. Has anyone successfully developed an Apex Trigger capable of updating fields on Activities created by RingCentral? Alternatively, has anyone discovered an alternative method for linking outbound call Activities to Campaigns?Also, has anyone found a way to

Hello! We are new to RingCentral Analytics and want to know what the various data means. Some is obvious, but some is not so obvious. Is there a resource for these definitions? For example, "connected" is defined as a session. It was hard to nail down exactly the technical difference between a "connected" call and one that isn't "connected." Then there is "% Missed (w/VM)" - how is that calculated? Also, "average handle time" - does that average all the connected calls? etc. etc. etc. for every data type. There must be specs / definitions somewhere, right?We want to know what these data are... instead of making assumptions. It's a really stupid/simple type of question, but finding resources and answers for this have been very difficult!Any help is very much appreciated!!

Is there a way to see if a user is online on a mobile device (via the Unify office phone app)? With the API ”List Extension Devices” I can only to see if the user is online on a non-mobile device.

Greetings,We have a few queues set to "Simultaneous" distribution to queue members and about to switch them to "Longest Idle".I have read that longest idle time will reset when a queue member answers an inbound call or initiates an outbound call - any call (doesn't have to be related to the queue in any way).If a queue member with the longest idle time doesn't answer an offered call, do they remain the member with the longest idle time? Or does that event reset their idle time? Hi, we just got set up with RingCentral and I'm finding out we have the wrong phones. We have 5 different businesses out of one office. I need a phone that can show the business names and when we have a call on that line, light up with that name (or next to it). We also need to be able to call out with each different business number so that it will show our business name on the other persons phones. Thank you
