This question may be a little ambiguous, but for call centers leveraging RingEx(pro) as the telephony mechanism. Where can additional metadata be pulled in from? Is this something that can be stored/entered in while a call is going on in ringcentral itself or this information is always stored in CRM and can only be leveraged using the CRM API’s.For Example:If a call center is using ringcentral with salesforce as the CRM. Will salesforce API be responsible for providing additional metadata associated with a call?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to configure my RingCentral setup to route calls and text messages to specific operators, but I'm a bit stuck on how to get it working exactly the way I want.Here's the situation:I have a main company phone number (number1) and an operator1 phone number (number2) I would like operator1 to ONLY receive the text messages and voice calls to number2 (their direct line) I would like operator2 to receive BOTH SMS and Voice calls for both number1 (the main company line) and number2 (their own line)Essentially, operator1 should only handle their own direct communication, while operator2 needs to be able to field everything coming in to both lines.Is this possible to configure within RingCentral?I've been brainstorming a few ideas, but I'm not sure if they're the best or even feasible:Create a new RingCentral account (account2) and have

Textel dialer lists, has anyone configured their textel integration so that if a recipient responds to a message with “Y” it will route to a certain queue? 

How do you manage receiving inbound calls while working on an outbound dialer campaign? Our problem is when an agent is working on dialing outbound, there is no notification / pop-up / sound that they have an inbound call

Greetings, New client in Eval of Ring Central Currently a DialPad user  We enabled our service yesterday, and we are able to process calls by way of Wifi, however we have tested Helium Mobile (T-Mobile) and US Mobile (T-Mobile / Sprint Blend) both of which drop the Ring Central outbound call request instantly. DialPad has worked for us for years, we have a ticket in, is this something others have seen by way of a New Client On-Boarding?Best, Dave

I have several desk phones that were assigned limited extensions that are no longer needed. My end goal is to use the phones as spares and move the telephone numbers into inventory. The extension is no longer needed and would like to delete it. I can't seem to find any documentation to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated.Thank you

Hi all,Just querying if I can get Trend graphs to display in intervals less than hour?  (ie per 10 or 15 mins).Reason for request.  We had our “Giving (Donation) Day” recently and would like to see if calls spiked to the appropriate queue when we had recognition of the event or specific interviews on radio.I have a report that gives the calls broken down for the hour, but would just like that in smaller interval.  I have also download call logs but cannot work out an effective way of grouping calls (limited excel capabilities).Cheers, Stephen

I would like to have a print out of phone codes like(#123- transfer to voice mail) on a desk phone connected to a Polycom OBi302. pressing #1 will get you extension 1.

I have a message auto-reply built inside of the automator to send an SMS reply when anyone sends an SMS message containing a certain keyword to our main phone number (successcully registered TCS and campaign) and when I test it from the automator “test” button it works great.  Then when I enable it and try the exact same steps no auto-reply happens.  I don’t know where else to look or what else to try.. PLEASE HELP!  The company is losing patience with the process and has threatened to look to other solutions. I would very much prefer to not do that and start all over.

I have read what’s in the forum about this. First about making sure you added the URL in the panel, and second making sure you are using the correct ClientID, but I double-checked both.This is the URL I’m generating:

Our campaign was just declined. The campaign registration is geared towards marketing SMS messages. We do not send any marketing SMS messages to our client. We ONLY text clients when they text us first. How are we supposed to get a campaign approved when it asks us for specific opt in wording that we send to clients? They opt in by texting us first and we therefore respond. That's it. I don't understand how this is supposed to work and it's completely ruining small business SMS.

Is it possible to block a fax number? I receive anywhere from two to twenty a day. We are receiving order confirmations from a vendor and have asked them to stop numerous times. They transitioned to a new program and they can not figure out where the box is to uncheck this oition. They said it’s an anomaly because they can not figure it out. Please advise how to block this fax number from incoming faxes. Thank you

Hi.I am working on an internal tool for my company to be able to onboard employees into ringcentral. I am able to create the users, but now I want to be able to assign them a number from the number inventory. I am able to successfully make the calls to reassign numbers but was wondering if there was a way to access the phone numbers in the inventory via the API? I want grab this data to be able to parse for specific area codes and then use the ids in the call to reassign numbers.All I see in the documentation is a way to get the phone numbers attached to an extension. Is the number inventory an extension as well? If so where can i find its ID?Thanks,Hoon

is this possible?  seems like many poly phones allow this.  poly doesn’t seem to allow a way to batch import contacts so instead you must manually enter one by one, but they said to talk to RC because it should be possible for them to be imported from the directory in RC.  but...RC has said that it’s not possible because it’s a conference room speakerphone and therefore has no need to have contacts.  (news to me and counter to the fact that the second button on the home screen is for Contacts).

We have hired a third party vendor to help with call volume.  If the vendor receives a call that they cannot handle they will be transferring the call back to us.  I have setup Ring Groups and Call Queues, depending on the Department, to facilitate the call routing and have numbers to be assigned.  We also want to monitor the amount of calls being sent to us from the vendor.  Is it best to add a Custom Rule under Auto-Receptionist or add as a Direct Number to the Ring Group or Call Queue?  Is there any difference in the performance or tracking capabilities? When we were installed a few years back the install team used both scenarios but am not sure why. Thank you,

After being with Ringcentral for over 7 years I was offered a bundled deal for broadband and phones from BT. I checked the RingCentral admin portal and couldn’t see anywhere that I was still in contract.Ringcentral allowed our numbers to be ported to BT (which turns out is actually Ringcentral with a BT logo on it) and did not contact me to make me aware that I was still in contract.When I contacted Ringcentral to close our account I was told that there are still 8 months left with the contract as the contract autorenews for two years. Received no renewal notifciations over the last 7 years.I have sent numerous emails to our account manager and the customer experience team and only received two replies stating there is nothing they can do or why they allowed the numbers to be ported away. They no longer respond to my emails requesting a solution so now we are paying over a £1000 a month for 48 lines that are useless.

Why is my newly assigned Primary Phone number could not make an outside domestic call? also it has no device attached to it like Ring Central Phone App. 

Texts and calls in the inbox show up as Day/Month/YearThis has thrown some reps off here in USA :)Is there any way to change time logs to Month/Day/Year?

We have hired an outside company that will be an overflow to several call queues.  If the call isn’t picked up by a call queue member within 20 seconds the call will be forwarded to an external number.  The only place that I can find a setting to forward to an external number is during afterhours.  Am I missing something or is there another way around this? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you

Two days ago (8/27/24), three of our VVX Polycom 410 phones all have their Missed Calls displaying “No Records.”The App displays the missing calls, but we need the phone to display it as well as several different individuals use the phone, but not the App.We have restarted the phones, and have resynced them through the web portal. Does anyone know how to restore this functionality to our phones?

We have Yealink WH67 headsets with the WHB670 Base. All the documentation I am finding on RingCentral says this Yealink headset is compatible with the RingCentral Winds10 App. We can not figure out how to set RingCentral in the Yealink USB connect app you can select the outgoing softphone and RingCentral is not listed. Does anyone have any experience with these headsets?

We use RingCentral as our Tech Support Phone line, and we have 4 users who rotate weekly on answering calls during Off-Hours. We would like the ability for each person to send and receive Texts from the main company line during that time.Right now, only the operator can send and receive SMS texts from the main company line. At least give us the option to change who is the operator based on our routing rules.

HELP! I am getting email notification and voicemail notifications about a received fax, but when i go to the ap there is no fax. These faxes are coming in when the office is closed and the ap is not open. I have my fax number set to receive at my number. I have received faxes while the office is open and the ap is open, so this again seems to be during the night.

Received voicemail from outside of my company.The voicemail played my outgoing message then caller’s incoming message. How did caller do that?Voicemail log displayed two separate voice messages from this caller, originating from one phone number, and both messages time stamped the same time.Incoming call made from a landline.Thank you.

An end user is saying he will get a fax notification via an email, he will open the app, and the fax is not in the app. Since there is no fax, he has to call the member/company and have the resend the fax.
