Fax

Hello there,Its possible to send a fax via outlook/email client to a fax number with @rcfax.com. Can we not do the same with a multifunction printer by using the scan to email function? I have tested but it seems to not go through.

We send faxes via email. That stopped working on Apr 22, 2021.RingCentral had informed us about Email-to-Fax Security Enhancement that they were going to perform on Apr 21, 2021. No downtime was expected. After the update, faxes sent with DKIM signatures that do not match with the domain's public DNS records will fail. If you do not use DKIM signatures with your emails, you will not see any change with your email-to-fax transactions. We don't use DKIM. For us, no action was necessary. However, email-to-fax stopped working the following day.Our outgoing messages have no DKIM headers:Authentication-Results: spf=none (sender IP is x.x.x.x) smtp.helo=subdomain.domain.com; accountname.mail.onmicrosoft.com; dkim=none (message not signed)And yet, we were impacted.WorkaroundHere's the workaround we applied. Using powershell, Get-DkimSigningConfigwill give us the status of DKIM. Following that, we had to doSet-DkimSigningConfig -Identity <domainname> -Enabled $falseto ask Micro

Seems simple enough. My boss and I would both like to see all incoming faxes in our desktop apps.Someone has to have solved this problem.

Ring Central Classic allows you to drag and drop documents when faxing. The new RingCentral app requires you to click the paperclip button and browse to the file location to attach it to the fax.How is it that as time goes by RingCentral gets worse instead of better? The decision to retire the old app was a collosal mistake when it offers reduced functionality compared to the "new" version.I know the canned response because I've seen it on other posts. "If you want to keep using the old app contact your account manager..." Yeah, good luck with that. My account manager won't even return my emails. Last time I needed something I had to contact her manager to get an issue resolved.

Don't know how to send fax to a fax line on an extension.

I have multiple users reporting that when they make changes or updates to their fax settings on the portal, receive a pop up error stating "JEDI error". I have opened a ticket with RC 8 months ago and have not had any movement on it. I brought it up again this week and was told it was a PKI (Product Known Issue) which has been their cover for not knowing how to fix something. I am about to migrate 700 users to RC Fax from eFax and this is unacceptable. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what have you done to mitigate it?

On the new RingCentral app, when we go to fax, there's not option to type in the recipient's info such as To, Company Name, etc. like the RC Phone does. Any ideas?

With the new ringcentral app having everything in one place, how can we get the company fax and be able to send messages or glips as individuals and not from the company account? We were using 2 apps before, but now with it all in one app, we either have to log in as the company or personal line, can not do both

ive had several customers tell me the fax number is not working.....It doesn't even ring that a call is coming in....

How do I receive a fax? Is my fax number the same as my main number (without the ext.)?

When I send a fax, I would like to be able to view and print my outgoing fax cover sheet. Help?

Fax automation from dropbox ?

I keep running across references to "You can only do that in the RingCentral Phone App."Simple things, like1.) my custom fax cover pages are missing2.) cannot add / create custom cover page.3.) Cannot add new Microsoft contact and designate FAX number huh.... Really?....I mean, Really?I have been trying to use RingCentral (beta app for lack of a better term or more confusing term) for several years now. Maybe we can just let it die and go back to three separate apps that are intuitive and work well......RingCentral Phone App for WindowsRingCentral MeetingsRingCentral for OutlookUnfortunately, after wasting another 1.5 hours to re-discover why I abandoned this app 8 times over 2 years, I am uninstalling again and will check back Q2, 2021.

Our company sends documents to the IRS on behalf of our clients on a regular basis. One of our employees just received a scolding from an IRS rep stating that use of the RingCentral fax is not secure and that is not a method to use for sending them information. The rep stated that we need to be using a traditional fax machine. Is the IRS rep correct in stating this?

Need help to fax a document

How to restrict fax from getting incoming fax. We just want to use outgoing fax messages and want to restrict the incoming ones. What set up we need to make?

We are hoping to be able to use a custom cover page when using the Ring Central Phone app (Android). I know you can create a custom cover page using the RC Phone app on Windows desktop, but can't seem to find a way to do it on mobile (or at least attach the custom to the app). Basically - Have MD's that want to send prescriptions from taking a photo with their phone and sending it via fax with a custom, HIPAA approved cover sheet.

When I signed up to get my fax number, it said that I would be able to put my signature on faxed documents, but I can't find this feature anywhere. Can you please explain how I can do that? Thanks

It appears that incoming faxes that remain in progress for an extended amount of time are preventing incoming calls from ringing through. The incoming calls subsequent to the In Progress fax show as missed calls, but they never ring on our phones. Any idea what's going on here?

My client is trying to fax me something. My phone just rings, and when I answer, I hear the beeping sound you get when you try to fax to a regular land line number.

I have the basic 500 fax account. We don't do a ton of faxing at my work, so we decided to ditch the land line and old faxing and go cloud based faxing. I setup my account and everything seems great so far, except the cover pages. We will not be using the desktop app it is too complicated, it is much easier to send faxes via email and we have a group email account that will receive the faxes and attachments. This is a pretty easy setup. My issues are this. ALL the default cover pages used in the email faxing are not editable, and include the Sender Name, which it pulls from the Ring Central account so thus is my name. I do not want the name showing, just the Sender Company and address, phone, etc. Every fax seems to come from me even though I have allowed others to send faxes from email. Secondly, the default cover pages are ugly, so I would like to custom make my own and include my company logo. There is no way to do this on the website options. I had to download the desktop App, w

Is there any way to send Auto reply message for any received fax as acknowledgement to the person sending the fax. Can that be configured?

Need to be able to add logo on fax covers

I need the SENT fax history asap. Support is telling me they only keep 30 days? But yet all the history is available for the incoming inbox? What is going on here? This can not be right?

I was testing Fax and scheduled fax from desktop apps. Where can I see the scheduled fax and those scheduled fax status and check the pending ones?
