We are in the project deployment stage of moving to RingCentral from Cisco CUCM. On Cisco, we use a 3rd party app to provide notifications based on the location defined for the the phone. So if a person in Dallas dials 911, it will send to a group of people including the GM in Dallas. Every location has its own notification group so that the GM at one site doesn't see the 911 calls for another. As near as I can tell, this is an enterprise setting on RingCentral and is not capable of having different email destinations based on the site.Considering the difficulties of 911 in the mobile, cloud based world, along with how litigious this country is, I would think that combining Nomadic 911, so if a phone is connecting in through an IP for a location, that would place that user in that site and allow for notifications based on where the call is coming from for those alerts would be a tremendous improvement.Add in to the RingCentral app a way for a user to have

I am trying to install an RC softphone app on my home Mac (ver. 20.2.2.39769). During the installation process, I get an error message that I have reached the maximum number of allowable installs. We have 5 paid user extensions and 4 have softphone installations on each desktop computer in addition to individual YealinkT48S desk sets. I would like to install RC softphone app on my home computer as well as on my iPhone. What is the maximum allowable softphone install on an account with 5 paid users?

I have some android users that are using the newest version of the app, and a current version of android. While on a Ring Central call they are unable to hand up by hitting the tactile feedback button on their bluetooth headset. On the other hand if they are on a normal non-ring central call on their phone, the bluetooth can hang up. I would assume this is because on android the app is not integrated, but given you can control music playback via third party apps, I would think Ring central should be able to utilize that same technology to allow a user to hang up a call..

With the new Desktop App, is there a way for it to auto launch? We updated the app from Classic, but the new Jupiter version does not auto launch. Thx.

Park Location groups - Why can't the park location groups have the caller id like a regular parked call. Using the park location group is faster than waiting for the park number to be assigned (*812). When you pick up a park location group the id says the park number.

Are the cisco ip phone softkeys configurable per user without using their IP Phone System while using ringcentral? Like on the phone itself, configurable per user manually?I don't have access to a cisco phone but I have a customer asking to configure the 2 softkeys on their 7841 for call escalation. Everything I read discusses using Communication Manager with these phones, naturally.

Starting in the latest version of Chrome Extension (v4.3.0) our users with physical Cisco/Polycom desk phones cannot Click to Dial to their physical phone.When "Options > Calling > Make calls with" > "RingOut" is selected, hovering on phone numbers only shows the SMS option. Also in settings the "Click to Dial/SMS" option only shows "Click to SMS". v4.3.0 users can still use the "Make calls with"> "Browser" option but the workflow and quality is not the same.Users on older versions of the Chrome Extension (mostly v4.2.14) can still hover, click to dial and have the call ring out to their physical hard phone.- Was this option disabled in the RingCentral Chrome Extension v4.3?- How can we enable it to allow our users to use their physical phones?

Hello,I am currently test driving RingCentral to decide if it is a right fit for my company. We currently use an on premise system where each user has a desk phone in their office and a desk phone in their home office. I am also testing other IP systems that allow a user to have multiple desk phones or soft phones on the same extension. Is it possible to do this with RingCentral?Thanks

I'm trying to set dynamic call queue members for one of our queues. For example, I have two members in the queue during normal business hours. However, the manager of this queue wants his extension to be added as the third member, but only on two days per week. Right now, I've been manually adding him as a member at the beginning of these two days and removing him at the end of these two days. However, I'd like to set it and forget it. Using custom rules, there doesn't seem to be a way to edit the primary members of the call queue in the call handling rules.Has anyone else figured this out, or is it not supported?

I emailed RingCentral support and asked this question:On "Call Queues" > "Call Handling & Members" > "Wait Settings" > "When maximum wait time is reached, send caller to", my only option is Voicemail. Is there a way I could change that to Forward to an external phone number instead?Their reply was that the feature I want is currently not available. Does anyone know of another way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

Our company has a subsidiary and a couple DBAs. We would like each user to see their company name on their app instead of the parent company. Please consider an enhancement so that each user would see their company name on the GLIP app instead of all users having to see the company name on the account level.

Weird Activity: Callers Remaining 'on hold' After DisconnectThis past Friday evening we experienced some issues with RC, a situation I haven't yet seen before. It happened for the last hour our office was opened and, I hoped, it was a one time fluke. Unfortunately, it has already happened once today.DescriptionTwo of our reps had accepted inbound calls. During the call they both put the initial caller on hold and made a second call. When they returned to the first caller they weren't there, they assume they were disconnected. I noticed that something was wrong about 15 minutes later because both of their lines were flashing (on hold) and the HUD showed the same thing. But, I knew it was unusual for them to be on hold for that long. Sure enough, neither was on the phone. I checked the RC queue status and both showed as 'busy'. Customer service is very important to our company, but there are times when we are short staffed due to breaks, holidays and vacations. In order to prevent one of our customers from holding longer than usual or being forced into voicemail, we have contracted with a 3rd party answering service and want to forward those calls to them instead. This gives our client a live voice and an opportunity to speak with someone versus being sent to a voicemail or staying on hold. This is not available at this time, but there is an option in call queues to forward to voicemail after x minutes or play a message and disconnect. We would like to option to forward to an external number (cell phone or 3rd party answering service).

Call recording will play then at a certain time restart from the beginning making it hard to listen to the full recording. If the recording is downloaded then it can be heard in full.

I have two separate phones with two separate extensions, one Extension 102, the other extension 105. These two extensions are not in a group, yet when I receive calls specifically for Extension 102, I also get the call to Extension 105, and will only stop ringing when I pick up the call for Extension 102. Is there a fix to this?

I have a third party Cisco 7841, it won't provision from the RC website. What version of firmware is needed on the phone to make it work?

We have 2 users who use Andorid Samsung S9 with new RingCentral App. They both are experiencing similar issue. When they are on an active cellphone carrier call and if someone tries to reach them on RingCentral phone they can see the incoming call from RingCentral Audio; however, when they click on Accept they get a message on their phone that "You are currently on an android phone call to accept this call (RingCentral Call) you will need to disconnect the current android phone call.iPhone users don't have this issue. They are able to place active carrier call on hold to accept RingCentral calls and go back and forth. Does anyone know a workaround or fix for this?

I have the T48 phones. Can they be connected via WiFi or is a wired connection required? If WiFi is possible, how? Do I need an adapter?

The new RingCentral unified app (mobile and desktop) doesn't appear to be able to participate in call handling settings. That is, if in the settings for extension 101 I have it set to also ring extension 201, I can only choose the desk phone for 201 and/or the "Softphone" if they are using the old RC Phone desktop app. Neither of these allows the call to connect to the RingCentral unified app on desktop or mobile. In my opinion, this goes completely counter to the idea of "Unified Communication."Reaching another user (regardless of where they currently have access to their RingCentral service) is the whole intent of Call Handling and Forwarding, and should be designed to at least have the option to set it to reach that user anywhere they have access to the service. My team is using the standard Ringcentral app and we are unable to dial a number by clicking a call url in google chrome. It does not trigger the app to call. The RC Phone desktop app works correctly this way, but we're trying to just use the new app as it's advertised as all-in-one. Any suggestions are appreciated.
