RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

A few clients have reported that when users in my company call them the caller ID information is wrong. Instead of our company name it shows up as the name of a former employee. This emplyee was gone way before we ever started using RingCentral so her name would not have ever been in the system. This only seems to happen for some calls. I don't even know how to begin troubleshooting this.

Our company needs to option to send certain queue calls (after a certain duration of time) to another queue instead of voicemail.

Is there anyway to prevent RC App from connecting to the service unless the user is sitting on our local network?Basically, we don't want users to access their RC App from any other device (other than company supplied) or outside networks. We are a healthcare operation with very tight security for HIPAA and other alphabet soup compliance.We develop our own apps that either ping a local IP (private) address to determine they are on our network, others that can detect the equivalent of 'WhatsMyIP' and match result to our public IP. Is there such a facility anywhere with RC?Ron

Hello,I was curious if it would be possible to enable the capability to include pauses and prompt responses into RC contacts to bypass auto-receptionists. iPhones can insert commas in contact numbers to do this. When trying to call a number with commas through the RC mobile app, it is not able to connect the call.Any help is appreciated.

We have web app serving many extensions/users in our organization.This app uses a single RC API token (using its own extension, that has all the permissions we could come up with). Is it possible for that App to make CallOut (not RingOut!) API calls for devices associated with other extensions? We need something like a click-to-call feature, where users trigger a call-out from their softphone via the browser (posting that request to the server).We are successfully making CallOuts to devices when they belong to the app's extension, but whenever we make CallOuts for other devices we getError CMN-102 - Resource for parameter [deviceId] is not found

When sending to a single number the application works, but when sending to mass mailings of 700+ they were not received even though it was reported as successful.The Company is attempting to get an URGENT message out this evening to all staff; please check this gateway to see if these mass SMS texts are queued.

sms api app had not yet graduated to production . i have sent it for review. its been 3 days.

PLEASE add a note feature so that the user has the ability to write a note next to a call in the log, a voicemail, a fax, a text message so that when the user is going through all of their calls, voicemails, faxes, texts, they can notate right in the system a note pertaining to the call (what client it deals with, etc.). Otherwise, it is impossible to keep this stuff straight and find relevant information when running a business.

When transfering from RC phone to a cell phone (someone in the field) the delay is very long, new issue hasnt alway been a long delay.

Perhaps I am missing something here but I just noticed with the recent update of the RingCentral "R" / New Glip app when I am on a call and have a second incoming call I don't have the option to hold/answer and but have an option to end/answer. Is anyone else running into the same issue? Am I missing a setting or is this normal functionality? Help Please!

I'm usually fairly savvy at navigating through programs/sites/apps... but for whatever reason I'm having a very difficult time retrieving messages from my auto-receptionist. Specifically I'm trying to get a fax that came in.I log in to the admin portal, with my credentials.It shows my personal extension, not our overall company access. I am listed as a Super Admin so I can do just about anything but seem to get the messages from group (customer service/sales/billing/etc) call queue. When I click on it, it asks for the password of that user. I enter my password and it says incorrect. I never created those as users so there is no password associated with them.

Ever since we upgraded clients to the new GLIP app, we've been dealing with a number of annoying bugs in the SW.Scheduling meetings with Outlook does not send the correct meeting time and date to the calendarDuring video meetings, the main app screen disappears and the app needs to restart to bring it backThe ability to do ad-hoc video calls with other co-workers only works a fraction of the timeSchedule for video calls does show from time to time. Require restarting the app.Is anyone else having these problems? I would love to get on a stable release and stay there without the app constantly updating itself.So far support has not been any kind of help with these issues.

I added a contact via the api, but RingCentral Phone was not updated immediately.How often does the client update? Is there a way to update immediately?

Case#: 10988278. I have a fax only account. UsIng the Ring Central App there is no option to view or send a fax. This is the same going to www.ringcentral.com & log in to my account. There is no option to view or send a fax. Please add that feature to my account.

Hello,We will be implementing a BIAMP VoIP device in coming months and I wanted to see what will need to take place in order for it to work with our RingCentral service. Id imagine it would be considered a 3rd Party, Generic VoIP device. But there seems to be some protocol configuration requirements for BIAMP and Im curious if we can make it work with RingCentral.If someone has experience in working with a BIAMP VoIP device or would please follow the link below, it explains what is required on the BIAMP configuration side of things. New to Ring Central. I am trying to setup the IVR menu. When I dial our number, instead of hearing the greeting, it just plays music. Then it sounds like the call has been answered, but all I am hearing is silence. Can someone share an example of their xml script? The samples provided don't appear to work. Thanks

my mobile does not ring when call coming in although it rings through my PC I need to be able to have the choice to answer either mobile or PC is it a settings thing?

If I'm in a text, VM, or phone window, is there a way to easily add the contact information for the person I'm texting, listening to, of calling?

Everyone is working remotely and does not have the ring central application on their phones. Is it possible to transfer calls directly from their phones instead of using the RingCentral app? We have some automation rules already created with their cell phone numbers and would prefer not to go reset all of it up.

Texting from RC

We are looking for a way to securely back up our text messages. I looked in our online account for the RingCentral Archiver, but could not find it, it appears it is not included in our contract. Can you please tell me what the additional cost is for the Archiver and if there is another way to securely back up our text messages? Thank you

Hi! I have a US account and am using RingCentral Phone to mass text people. Now that we're working from home, we are running into issues with our existing staff mass texting prospects and clients but having all texts create a giant group text, with no option to send an individual text to all people. We are currently using version history 20.x, but we have had success using version 19.4 of the phone app in our workplace and have had no issues mass texting to individuals with that version. Is there any place we can get a download link for Windows and Mac phone app version 19.4 for me to send to my staff? Thanks for your help!

After updating the desktop app in Windows 10 (latest update 20.1.0.38205) on three occasions, the HUD was not available. Right-clicking on the app and 'repairing' in Control Panel, fixed the issue, but I was wondering if others also had the same issue and if it is being addressed by RingCentral?Thank you,Peter

some files were uploaded in error. How can we delete them?

Has the trash bin icon been removed from the call history? I'm using iphone app. Looks like I can just delete one by one now, but I could have sworn there used to be a trash bin icon to delete all at once.
