RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

Customer service is very important to our company, but there are times when we are short staffed due to breaks, holidays and vacations. In order to prevent one of our customers from holding longer than usual or being forced into voicemail, we have contracted with a 3rd party answering service and want to forward those calls to them instead. This gives our client a live voice and an opportunity to speak with someone versus being sent to a voicemail or staying on hold. This is not available at this time, but there is an option in call queues to forward to voicemail after x minutes or play a message and disconnect. We would like to option to forward to an external number (cell phone or 3rd party answering service).

I want to have a feature for calling multiple numbers at the same time, like dialing our multiple 3 party numbers

Call recording will play then at a certain time restart from the beginning making it hard to listen to the full recording. If the recording is downloaded then it can be heard in full.

I have two separate phones with two separate extensions, one Extension 102, the other extension 105. These two extensions are not in a group, yet when I receive calls specifically for Extension 102, I also get the call to Extension 105, and will only stop ringing when I pick up the call for Extension 102. Is there a fix to this?

I have a third party Cisco 7841, it won't provision from the RC website. What version of firmware is needed on the phone to make it work?

We have 2 users who use Andorid Samsung S9 with new RingCentral App. They both are experiencing similar issue. When they are on an active cellphone carrier call and if someone tries to reach them on RingCentral phone they can see the incoming call from RingCentral Audio; however, when they click on Accept they get a message on their phone that "You are currently on an android phone call to accept this call (RingCentral Call) you will need to disconnect the current android phone call.iPhone users don't have this issue. They are able to place active carrier call on hold to accept RingCentral calls and go back and forth. Does anyone know a workaround or fix for this?

I have the T48 phones. Can they be connected via WiFi or is a wired connection required? If WiFi is possible, how? Do I need an adapter?

Hi, I'm integrating your ringcentral webphone library to develop a webRTC phone app, but the object responsible for creating the connection (the WebPhone object) has the appkey as a parameter. Because a webRTC application is implement in the client-side you need to store the appkey in the navigator, is not that a security problem?, what do you suggest about that

The new RingCentral unified app (mobile and desktop) doesn't appear to be able to participate in call handling settings. That is, if in the settings for extension 101 I have it set to also ring extension 201, I can only choose the desk phone for 201 and/or the "Softphone" if they are using the old RC Phone desktop app. Neither of these allows the call to connect to the RingCentral unified app on desktop or mobile. In my opinion, this goes completely counter to the idea of "Unified Communication."Reaching another user (regardless of where they currently have access to their RingCentral service) is the whole intent of Call Handling and Forwarding, and should be designed to at least have the option to set it to reach that user anywhere they have access to the service. If that user doesn't want to be reached on their mobile, they can log out of the mobile device (or perhaps have a setting there similar to queue calls to disable forwarded calls).I propose tha

My team is using the standard Ringcentral app and we are unable to dial a number by clicking a call url in google chrome. It does not trigger the app to call. The RC Phone desktop app works correctly this way, but we're trying to just use the new app as it's advertised as all-in-one. Any suggestions are appreciated.

My dental office management program has an option to dial a phone number from within the program. Is it possible to direct the computer to make that call from within my ringcentral app?

So, I have an extension in my company that goes to our warehouse. If someone dials it, rather than going to voicemail if the phone cannot be answered, I would like to set up logic that would simply forward the call (roll-over) to a call queue (such as Ext. 108). I tried adding just the extension in call handling, but it seems I am not allowed to do that. Is there a workaround?

One of the representatives told me today that there is no option to create a group contact and I want to know if that option can be available. To send a mass text to fathers wishing them happy father's day, I will like to have that group saved separately in my contact and have other groups as well for different clients. I will also like to go back to that group and add more new clients or edit the previous clients' info. When I'm ready to send a mass text message out, I can just click on the group I need. Please help

On the Mobile app each user should be able to turn on and off each call que they are apart of.

A few clients have reported that when users in my company call them the caller ID information is wrong. Instead of our company name it shows up as the name of a former employee. This emplyee was gone way before we ever started using RingCentral so her name would not have ever been in the system. This only seems to happen for some calls. I don't even know how to begin troubleshooting this.

Our company needs to option to send certain queue calls (after a certain duration of time) to another queue instead of voicemail.

Is there anyway to prevent RC App from connecting to the service unless the user is sitting on our local network?Basically, we don't want users to access their RC App from any other device (other than company supplied) or outside networks. We are a healthcare operation with very tight security for HIPAA and other alphabet soup compliance.We develop our own apps that either ping a local IP (private) address to determine they are on our network, others that can detect the equivalent of 'WhatsMyIP' and match result to our public IP. Hello,I was curious if it would be possible to enable the capability to include pauses and prompt responses into RC contacts to bypass auto-receptionists. iPhones can insert commas in contact numbers to do this. When trying to call a number with commas through the RC mobile app, it is not able to connect the call.Any help is appreciated.

We have web app serving many extensions/users in our organization.This app uses a single RC API token (using its own extension, that has all the permissions we could come up with). Is it possible for that App to make CallOut (not RingOut!) API calls for devices associated with other extensions? We need something like a click-to-call feature, where users trigger a call-out from their softphone via the browser (posting that request to the server).We are successfully making CallOuts to devices when they belong to the app's extension, but whenever we make CallOuts for other devices we getError CMN-102 - Resource for parameter [deviceId] is not found

When sending to a single number the application works, but when sending to mass mailings of 700+ they were not received even though it was reported as successful.The Company is attempting to get an URGENT message out this evening to all staff; please check this gateway to see if these mass SMS texts are queued.

sms api app had not yet graduated to production . i have sent it for review. its been 3 days.

PLEASE add a note feature so that the user has the ability to write a note next to a call in the log, a voicemail, a fax, a text message so that when the user is going through all of their calls, voicemails, faxes, texts, they can notate right in the system a note pertaining to the call (what client it deals with, etc.). Otherwise, it is impossible to keep this stuff straight and find relevant information when running a business.

When transfering from RC phone to a cell phone (someone in the field) the delay is very long, new issue hasnt alway been a long delay.
