RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

Downloaded Ring app to Iphone 6s Plus. When a call comes in the caller can't hear me. I can hear them though. If I push the keypad on phone they hear that on the callers side but cannot hear my voice. Any Ideas?

Ring Central Cell phone app adds user profile pics to my phones gallery of pictures. I don't want this to happen. I keep deleting, they come back after I talk to someone through the app.

I can't seem to find a way to do a "Warm Transfer" to another employee when I receive a call. I need to be able to talk to the employee I will transfer the call to first before I actually transfer the call. On the mobile app there is no way to do this, and on the desktop app there is a button but for some reason it isn't letting me press it! Please Please let there be a warm transfer option on the mobile app and let it work on the desktop app.Thank you

Is there a way to monitor how many lines are in use and whether a customer would have received a busy signal? We have added a few new employees and suddenly we have customers indicating they are getting a busy signal when calling us. Previously we handled all calls through a couple of VoIP phones but we've recently started using desktop/smartphone apps.I don't know if this is a configuration issue, if calls are being forwarded (thus tying up an incoming and outgoing line) or something else that would account for this. It would be nice to graph how many of our lines were in use during a time period.My assumption is that an extension to extension call shouldn't use one of the main lines, right? Up until now, everyone was in the same office so we chatted in person. Now with two locations there are many internal communications being done between extensions.Thanks!--Ed

Everyday I get a number of faxes on my Ring Central phone line.  These are all SPAM.I would like to block any faxes to my mobile phoneI would like to NOT have a recorded message show up that is just a bunch of fax noises

whenever somebody trying to reach me, every time the call is directly going in voice-mail. outgoing is fine but facing problem during incoming only!! please let me know what to do???

How do I edit or delete contacts from iPhone App?  It is clear how to find or add new contacts, but I do not see how to update a number, or add a second number, or even delete a contact I no longer want.I figured out how to do it from the website version, but not from the mobile app.Thanks!

I would like to assign a different ringtone for each of the extensions that we have, so that I would know who's calling me without having to look at my phone. Is this possible??

Can someone in RingCentral please publish a list of all available switches/arguments for each RingCentral application? ie; ALLUSERS, MEETINGAUTOUPDATE, etc. Support has been unable to provide such basic information. They are also unaware of what MSI switches are. We are interested in disabling update notifications for RC Phone as well as the switches that will cleanly reinstall everything when there's a current version installed as we notice two RC Phone icons on the desktop when the installer upgrades to the latest version.

We have our auto-reception set to send calls to a group. That group is setup to present the name of the number that was dialed along with the phone number that is calling. However, there is no name showing up for our main number.When I click on the main number under "Phone Numbers" --> "Company" it doesn't give me an option to set the name for the main line. How can I have this setup?

When a call comes in and rings simultaneously on the RC Phone App and soft phone, a different pop-up shows up on the screen (different than the dialer) and all the buttons (answer, voicemail mail, etc.) buttons are disabled.

How do I assign a user to an unassinged number? It does not show up in Unassigned USER list.

On windows 7 computer, after installing the latest Ring Central Desktop, the application fail to launch. When you double click the icon to start, crash report will pop up saying, abnormal termination.Before the crash report error, I was seeing "this application failed to launch QT (blah blah, i don't remember the exact message)"Any help on this question would be nice as the application just won't launch at all to use.

My RC app never rings on my iphone when I get a call. I just get a missed call or voicemail. I have allow notifications and sounds on in my settings. Most of my colleagues that also have the app installed on their phones for work have reported the same thing and just stopped using the app.

We are looking to configure our firewalls so that we pass traffic from RC. Anyone know where I can find that info

I was recently updated to RC Phone on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) and my Macbook (Catalina 10.15.4) and have noticed that the toggle option for "Accept call queue calls" is no longer available.I've set myself to "Do not disturb", but I'm still receiving calls when that call queue gets a call.I used to be able to just turn off the option to receive call queue calls, but I'm not finding that option anywhere.I've temporary solved the issue by removing myself from the call queue, but the time taken to do that is greater than just turning off the switch.Does anybody know where it went, if it's still an option?

Instead of having to Switch to Carrier while driving, could you do a toggle in settings to default to Carrier. I hate calls dropping while I am driving.

Up until recently I have been able to use the web application to copy and paste multiple numbers from a spreadsheet into the text messaging box. This has allowed me to paste up to 100 numbers at a time from spreadsheets. Now, the numbers come in as a single number and there is no way to separate them. They must be copied and pasted individually.

We have several users in our environment that contact information (RC App or REC Classic) that show an email address of odd characters, ending in actual email address. These same users are not able to use RC Outlook Add in.Example:022988bf471d41e89a8c0e3d089ccb0elisa.last@domain.com

We are receiving more than two dozen robocalls per day noe that we are with Ring Central. Never had this problem with AT&T. Is someone working on this? All the tech reps tell me to do is register on donotcall.gov which we have and which does nothing.

Text notifications

Good day. Not a customer yet, trying to get a good handle on things before we take the leap - we will only be using the fax services offered by RingCentral.Currently, we have multiple fax lines to our Agency, each line going to a different department. With our current electronic fax system, a single person monitors the database/inbox for their department and when a fax arrives, they forward it by email to the proper recipient. We're hoping to mirror that system and flow as much as possible.Ideally, what I would like to see happen is when a fax arrives for a specific number, that fax is forwarded via email to an account that is monitored by a staff member, who then forwards it along to the proper person. Each number would forward to a different email account, monitored by different staff. We need some level of security and separation, so none of these staff members would have access to the main database or application - all their access would be to the destination email accounts.Hav

We have several options on our IVR that go to external numbers, for the most part this is fine as they are vendors fielding these calls and have queue systems on their side.The problem is with this 1 external number it is for an older software solution, once all phone lines are used up it gives a busy signal. When this happens RingCentral plays a message about technical difficulties and disconnects. Just wondering if anyone has any creative ideas on holding onto these transfers if they receive a busy signal, and retrying the forward after X amount of time?Thank you!

I used to be able to see all my recorded calls under the recording section. Now I'm only able to view 1 page and not able to flip and view more; therefore I have to download all of my recorded calls via the Call Log. I call 100-200 people a day for work; only about 20-40 of those are recorded appointments; this now takes me an extra 15-20 minutes to sort through and find my recordings out of all these calls for the day. Why was this feature done? It is very inconvenient. Is there anyway you could help make it convenient, the way it was before, where I could sort and see ALL of my recordings; JUST the recordings? I talked to a support person otp who told me to write this.
