RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

I'm using MY PHONE. Not one supplied by my employer. I have zero interest in the app having access to my dialer, contacts, or texts. VOIP (whether cell or wifi data) should be able to provide a self-contained system to do that without interfering or needing access to my contacts, my text messages in the native or other apps.If it is WORK communication it should reside in the app, or my work CRM, not in my phone.When I installed the new Ring Central it absolutely interfered with texts SELECTIVELY!! IT prevented my sending my own email to my friend inside a text in my Google Messenger app on a Samsung Galaxy S8...thus it was examining my outgoing texts and interfering with them. I have proof of this from screen shots where what I sent wasn't received. As soon as I uninstalled the RC App it functioned normally. Obviously, that doesn't bode well for confidence in an app, or the company behind it. Once you break trust, it is hard to recapture.I've noticed no such problem wit

With the recent updates you have made to your phone and desktop apps surrounding the SMS/texting functionality, all of the features that we needed and loved about the apps were removed. You can no longer mark as unread, visibility, search functionality and location, meaning where you have to go to text from, are all harder to find, get to and respond with, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, one of the best features that was removed was your ability to archive or "close the conversation". Due to the loss of functionality with your texting you have made it extremely difficult for our teams to use the app effectively and therefore we are having to look for other solutions to meet our needs. There is already a lot of missing functionality over some other providers, such as shared/departmental texting/sms. and now, other then statistical data etc, google voice has more functionality. Is there a way to revert back to the old versions?

Hi, we have a set of users managing a Tech Support number while the usual reps are 'off'. We have rules set up for different members of the team to receive the calls at different periods through the day but if they cannot answer it goes to the personal voicemail of that person rather than the tech support one. Is there a way to ensure that anyone ringing in to the tech support number is always getting the tech support voicemail?

I've downloaded and installed the latest RingCentral app (version 20.2.31.176) for Windows 10. There doesn't seem to be an option, anywhere, where I can configure this app to start when I log in to Windows. RingCentral classic has this option.Can you please tell me where I can set this, or do I have to copy a shortcut of this into my 'startup' folder in my start menu?

Will the softphone or desktop app work in Remote desktop situation?

Is there a way to send a text to a saved list. I would like to be able to send a text to all my employees cell phones.

My desktop ringcentral chat app seemed to stop working. That is, it no longer opens when I double click on it. I'd thought I'd uninstall and reinstall but the following keeps popping up to which I cannot find the files on my drive. (nor can my search function seem to find it).4. I've tried going to 'add or remove programs' from system settings option but that couldn't find the program as well?So I am unsure where it is or even if it's installed or not.

I had a Macintosh computer with the RingCentral app and when a call came in to my 800 service it rang on the app, then I could manually forward it to my landline phone if I was in the office. It used to display calling line ID on my phone, now with the PC app it just shows the company name and my phone number. Overall the Mac app was much nicer.How can I get calling line ID info to forward?

Frankly, the various apps all have the same name and make no sense to me. I just need an app where I can send and receive texts from clients -- not an internal team! Currently the texts I receive come in with only a phone # id and I cannot revise the profile to add a name. I have no idea who is texting me and it is only by going back and reading the history that it becomes apparent. It's no way to run my business. What am I missing?PS - my app says RingCentral

When will the contacts from the old RingCentral app sync to the new RingCentral app?

Poly Vxx 150 and 250 no phone manual just a quick reference guide. Trying to hook it up t my pc since I dont have a wall jack on this floor. Anyone know how to do this and update the phone date time etc? It might have been a good point to make that a wall jack or router be near by for this type of phone to be set up.

Twice in a couple weeks now, the texts I sent from the RingCentral app.glip.com page from my desktop (using a Chomebook) to my cell phone (AT&T) never went through. I rely HEAVILY on texting from my Chromebook using the app.glip.com page, and now I'm beginning to wonder if many other people are not getting my texts, also. Anyone have any suggestions?

Does anyone know whether you can create Quality of Service Reports so that you can make a subscription and prepare a daily quality of service report?Or is there a way to download the Quality of Service Report by Calls to Excel?

This is kenneth Stillwagner here and my ringcentral phone number is 1800-514-5088 and my email id is directvdealer786@gmail.com i need an old version of messages feature on ringcentral. your representative she said when you try to send to 10 receipient that will go as group message but if you send more than 11 receipient it wont go as a group it will be send individually . but i want my message to be send individually even if i am sending to more than 11 receipient thats the way i keep a track of all my customer. i dont want new version of messaging kindly do it as a old version.

My phone doesn't ring when Im logged into Salesforce Agent (Contact Center) when using the RingCentral App. It worked fine when using the RingCentral Phone app. Any ideas why?

We have several users who manage Call Queues. The only way to retrieve VoiceMail from the queue is to use the handset.How can I allow a Queue manager to access the online version of the Voicemail list for that queue?

My caller ID shows I am calling from a law office when we are not a law office. Why is it not showing my caller id name I input in ring central system instead of law office. People dont answer my calls because they see a law office phone number is calling and we are not attorneys or a law office.

I have a US account and I use the RingCentral IOS App to receive and forward faxes (about 15 - 20 times a day). When I forward faxes, I don't want a cover page (most of the faxes are sent to my own fax machine and printing a cover page is a waste of paper). The default for the cover page is "Contempo" and I have to change it every time to "None" (which is a pain in the butt). How do I set the default cover page for faxes to be "None"?

Using the latest version of the RC Phone app for Mac. Sound is poor both for people trying to hear me and vice versa. Can barely make out only a few words. Have tried low bandwidth setting; makes no difference.Anyone else experience and resolve this issue?

I've been using RingCentral for several weeks now. I noticed that incoming calls from numbers that were not in my contacts list showed up as "Unknown". When I chatted with tech support to find out why Caller ID wasn't working for incoming calls, I was told for the first time (since it doesn't appear in the "features" description) that I would have to upgrade to at least a Premium plan. This would cost me $540 a year for RingCentral to provide what the phone company already provides for free. I really don't need any of the features in the other plans, and had absolutely no idea when I signed up that Caller ID would be an upcharge.This should be a basic feature for all plans. Its lack in Essentials and Standard is inexplicable.

It has been truly impossible getting a resolution with your customer service. I have talked twice and emails are being responded after like a week. This is bad to have calling issues. I have tried to figure on my own as well.I did the test of connectivity and found the attached. I found this by researching, your customer service never asked for this. They had asked for sample calls and I had given it to them.Please find attached and help me get this sorted.
