RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

Is there somewhere we can view a detailed list of bug fixes for a particular release? In this case, we want to know if a bug was fixed in the latest release of the RingCentral Modern App. The release notes only show the enhancements. Bug fixes are not detailed.

Why does RC Phone and Ringcentral require permission to allow rc phone to make and manage phone calls?I got RC so that I could use it separately from my personal phone, as a VOIP solution, why does it need access to my Android dialer?

It is difficult to log in to a shared VM only extension. Weirdly, you have to log in to them through a very specific method;If you use any app (mobile, or desktop), or a browser to go to say "ringcentral.com" and click 'log in-> RC app' or "login.ringcentral.com" and login with your main number, VM Only extension number, and the password for that extension you get an error page that states "Sorry, you currently don't have permission to access this service. Contact your administrator to change permissions."However, if you take the exact same login steps but start by going to "service.ringcentral.com" you can log in to the VM only extension just fine. The login pages look identical, and all will let you login successfully to a normal acount, but the do NOT work the same for VM Only extensions! I am looking when it would be happen to add a 2nd line to answer a call from a JUPITER APP because some of my clients are requesting this they can't do it on JUPITER app just with the classic one only.

Our company's phone transfer to RC was just completed the other day. In the meantime, the desktop app and mobile app had shown temporary phone and fax numbers. We were told that once the transfer was complete these numbers would update.The mobile app has updated to the correct numbers but the desktop app has not. How can this be fixed?

For RingCentral call queues, is it possible to add custom status such as "project work" or "break"? Are you limited to just the default status list?

We are using the RingCentral Standard Canadian.I'm about to start the porting process for our direct dial numbers and our main company numbers. I've already setup our current system to handle the forwarding, but once I've started porting them I want the RingCentral system to be able to show our current DDI's and company number as the outgoing caller ID instead of using the temporary numbers in RC.Will I get this as an option once I start porting?

I am trying to find a fax that I send 1.5 months ago. I can't find it. How can I see this?

We would like to use RingCentral and Teams to schedule conference calls like Webex Teams. We are using the latest Ring Central desktop app and I have created a team. It does not seem to offer a schedule option to schedule a Teams conference call. Does anybody know if this is even possible and if not can this be added later as a feature?

I have a US account, only ever used for faxing. Tried to send a fax yesterday, the desktop app and the web app did not give me the compose fax option. Can see old faxes, but no way to create a new one. Even tried fax to email and it gave me this message "The fax you submitted on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 12:55 PM could not be sent because your account doesn't have fax sending capabilities. If you would like to use this functionality, please upgrade your account and resubmit your fax or contact our customer support." Can anyone help? Android cell phone on Verizon WirelessRingCentral Office Standard PlanFor either the RC Phone app or the Ring Central app (I'm honestly not sure why there are 2 apps?), how can you force all incoming calls to come through the standard carrier voice network, and not utilize VOIP? VOIP can be inconsistent when driving on the road, and Verizon has a strong network for voice. The URI rcmobile worked for the Ring Central Phone app but does not work for the RC App. Since the RC Phone app is being retired and replaced by the RC App, this rcmobile URI needs to be updated to work correctly with the RC App. This is a critical problem that needs to be addressed. We don't always receive the recorded voicemail message in email, only the text. They were coming through fine but have now stopped.

I'm using MY PHONE. Not one supplied by my employer. I have zero interest in the app having access to my dialer, contacts, or texts. VOIP (whether cell or wifi data) should be able to provide a self-contained system to do that without interfering or needing access to my contacts, my text messages in the native or other apps.If it is WORK communication it should reside in the app, or my work CRM, not in my phone.When I installed the new Ring Central it absolutely interfered with texts SELECTIVELY!! IT prevented my sending my own email to my friend inside a text in my Google Messenger app on a Samsung Galaxy S8...thus it was examining my outgoing texts and interfering with them. With the recent updates you have made to your phone and desktop apps surrounding the SMS/texting functionality, all of the features that we needed and loved about the apps were removed. You can no longer mark as unread, visibility, search functionality and location, meaning where you have to go to text from, are all harder to find, get to and respond with, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, one of the best features that was removed was your ability to archive or "close the conversation". Due to the loss of functionality with your texting you have made it extremely difficult for our teams to use the app effectively and therefore we are having to look for other solutions to meet our needs. There is already a lot of missing functionality over some other providers, such as shared/departmental texting/sms. and now, other then statistical data etc, google voice has more functionality. Is there a way to revert back to the old versions?
