I was working with RingCentral support over the last few days regarding calls dropping when someone transfers a call to them from a queue. After doing some troubleshooting they came back with the following answer:"The most recent platform update has changed this behavior. Users who are in a call queue must have their status set to "accept calls from queue" in order to take a call that has been transferred to them".So now when one of our users gets a call from a customer in a queue and they want to transfer it to a sales rep who happens to be in the same queue, that person needs to set their status to be able to take the transferred call. So effectively no one can ever set their status to being logged out of a queue ever again or they will be missing calls constantly.What is the logic behind this change?What if the person who is being transferred to logs in at the same time another call gets routed to them from the same queue?Is there a better work around for this?ed

I would love to add 3rd party software update support for RingCentral to my SCCM configuration. This would allow updates to the application to be delivered right alongside Windows Updates in my environment. I'm not sure if RingCentral supports this setup or not. To configuration SCCM to provide these updates, I would need the custom catalog download URL for the RingCentral Phone application.

Is there a way to avoid having so many telephone numbers auto fill the Outlook calendar invite when using the RingCentral Outlook plugin? it enters 5 different phone numbers that users can use to call in, and is cluttered and confusing. I don't need options for US East, US West, US Central, US North, and US South. I need one call in number and one access code.

We have been having a problem the last few weeks. The phone rings. You can see who the caller is but when you answer the call it's dead air. The call is logged. What could be causing this?

Failed Faxes Disappear from my app and I can't resend myself. I must creat fax again.I use to be able to resend a fax when it failed. Now, it disappears from my app and I must create it again and reattached all files. I can't find any setting to change to make it stay in my app until I see it and resend it.

When I try to type a text message in Glip (web browser version), somehow it is not recognizing all of my keystrokes. As a result, I am having to type the text in the browser's search bar and then copy and paste into the Glip text message. I believe that it is doing this on various devices, and it is not a problem when typing elsewhere in the browser, so it has to be something with Glip.It does not seem to be a problem when I am using Glip for inter-office messaging.How can I fix this problem?

Is there a way for administrators of our RingCentral application to retrieve glip chat history for a particular user? We need access to this information for employee relation concerns.

Has this feature been taken down? I used to be able to send group messages out to people not in my directory as separate text threads, now they are all grouped together. This is for gathering information for potential applicants and I don't want to be sharing peoples' phone numbers with others. As recent as a week ago it gave me a "warning" that it would be sent out as separate messages-which is the whole point for me anyway-then yesterday it is no longer is doing so.

So I brought up the Ringcentral App (Windows 10) today and got a popup asking if I wanted to try out the beta. I went ahead and clicked OK and got a popup window to sign in. We use Google SSO and was in the process of doing that but got error saying the browser wasn't supported (my guess from 2FA - we use hardware USB keys and usually have to 'Try Another Way' for non Google apps). Anyway - I closed the windows to try again, but cannot find anywhere to access the beta version in any of the menus or screens. Is the popup the only way and if it doesn't work the first time you can't try it?

Previously, I added recipients individually.I just tried to copy/paste the recipients from a column in my excel, hoping it would individualize each number. It didn't do this. Hi,When trying to transfer calls through to colleagues I can only see that they are available, busy, do not disturb or invisible. It would be really useful for me to be able to see when users are actually on calls as well as busy.For instance if I have an important call that needs taking by a member of the sales team I know that they are on a call rather than just busy.Thanks,Briony

I need help with dialing out with from my voicemail by choosing option 3 while I am in my voicemail. I am not using a ringcentral phone neither do I have the option to . if the new ringcentral app is supposed to replace the phone app, then it needs to have the same features including the URI setup so i can click to have a phone number called when it has the TEL: url the old phone app has this, it is very weird that you don't have the same capability in this new app.

Starting yesterday my users will have their cell phone call dropped if they get a call through the RC app. I opened a case with them, but I can't imagine this is isolated just to my users. My current case number is 09661024. I know one user has an iPhone, not sure about the other. If the user is on an RC call and a call comes into the cell phone, the call isn't dropped. If she is on an RC call and another call comes in, she says the first RC call is dropped, but the tech support guy said the call wasn't. I believe the system just didn't think the call was dropped.

Is there a way to monitor Glip messages? I know its no longer called Glip but thats what it is to us.Also, I am an Admin on InContact but am unsure if I am on Glip, how can I check this?

I just dialed one number and it went through to a completely different number. I tried a second time and the same thing happened again. Never had this problem before.

The HUD is not refreshing. It shows people are on calls, when in actual fact the call is finished & they're not on a call any longer. The only resolution I can see is logging out of the app & then logging back

Account Type U.SI am using ring the central phone app on a Vodafone 4G cell phone and I am unable to send texts. when I called the tech support they said Vodafone does not support texting which the sales team never shared initially. Now what's funny is a friend who referred me to ring central was sitting in the same room with me and we both were using the same network to send texts and he was able to but not me. I asked the technical support guy real time that how is this possible and his answer was he is lucky, that's why. Really??
