RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

Created a silent installation for the RingCentral Desktop app V20.2.20.147320.2, but the program launches as soon as it has installed. I looked at the msi with orca, but do not see any type of launch property that I can disable. Has anyone come up with a way to stop this?

Using Glip v 19.05.2 (E. 2.0.14) Build 958. When I receive a message, the red indicator will appear on the taskbar icon. Once read it should go away. It usually did, but now, it will not go away no matter what I do. I have rebooted, checked my groups/users for any pending messages and nothing. It still keeps coming back. Now I can't tell if I have a valid new message or if it is the phantom message. Please help!

Rather than give out the 10 digit phone number can we create a short number (5 digit) for texting?

I am trying to sync past appointments on our Glip calendar with Outlook. I copied the calendar URL and added the calendar to Outlook, but it only shows past appointments from the last 30 days. Is this a glitch, or is there a way to pull in all past appointments?Thanks so much!

New customer and completely turned around with what to do here. Account is U.Ssoftware version UC Software Version 5.6.0.20009Updater Version 5.8.0.24992Phones are Polycom vvx411When a call comes in and we lift the handset, or press speaker phone, it goes to new line and dial tone to allow an outbound call.It does not pick up the incoming call like it is supposed to.There is an option in the action buttons to "pick up" the call. But I need it to just pick up the incoming call when the handset is lifted.This started when we ported our real numbers over.When we first started setting up and testing and had the temporary numbers it worked fine and would pick up calls when handset was lifted.I have researched and the one thing I have found, but cannot find an entry for in the config files (via the phone web interface), is reference to call.autoOffHook.1.enabled="1" - this was referenced from the polycom community in a 2014 post.I have contacted RC support, they say all settings are correct and cannot figure out why it won't pick

Hi, folks! I managed to register a ATA Cisco SPA122 to Ringcentral. However, provided it has two ports for analog phones, I was wondering if it would be possible to have two different Ringcentral extensions (same account) connected into this ATA. My account is for US, Ultimante. Thanks.

I was told by RC support to upgrade our company from RC Phone and RC Meetings to one ap, the new RC App. I asked everyone to change but quickly found out that users cannot transfer their contacts to teh new APP. They cannot even add user manually to the new RC APP? We are a logistics company and tal to truck drivers all day. They are not going to click invite links to be added. Our employee have no way to add numbers to their contacts to quickly dial their contacts. What a mess!!! Now we all have to delete the new app and go back to RC Phone. Makes no sense to me. What is that feature not the same from RC Phone? 1. USA account, over 25 users.

Would like to know how to add Names to the mobile numbers I text in the Ringcentral desktop app

When viewing phone call, text and emails on the desktop app and it displays the number but has contact listed as "unknown" can that be edited there to create a named contact?

Over the last 24 hours I have not been able to receive any inbound calls. My dialpad was not working as well and I had many instances of one way audio. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I still cannot receive inbound calls. I cannot get in contact with anyone from RC phone, does anyone have any solutions before I find a new service provider?

I would like to mobile app to open in the phone section to reduce taps to get to phone function or text function quickly. Is this possible?

My company often posts attachments (usually pdfs saved on our network) and I have been unable to download them. The box pops up at the bottom of the screen but it will say "0/30Kb, paused". If I go to resume the download, it does nothing. It has only been doing it on my computer. I can open downloads on my phone or other office computers.

the phone contacts I had added in my softphone desktop app are not found in the ringcentral classic, glip or web app. Where did the go? this is very important. I don't have them in my iphone contacts list; but they are stored because when they call me glip recognizes the contact and shows up with the named I stored them with on the soft phone app. but when I look for them to dial they are not found/matched.

I am looking for comments and suggestions on using the Desktop app in an enterprise environment. Below I will cover some of the issues we are having.We are a new RC customer with 400 users. Our initial experiences with the Desktop app have been mixed. For example we have a branch that is using nothing but the desktop app. The main number rings to a ring group. The phones assigned do not all ring at the same time. Some do not even ring at all, but they might for the next call. We have made firewall adjusts onsite as per RC knowledge base articles. The other issue is that there seems to be no Admin install version of the MSI file. We have no problems with users being able to install without admin rights, but when you run the app a windows firewall exception notice comes up with DOES require admin rights. Since our users are not admins this presents a problem in Enterprise environments. As a work around I deployed a group policy that adds the following program path as an exception:%USERPR

In RingCentral meetings, when someone calls up on their cell phone, their phone number shows up if they dont punch in the participant code. Does anyone know if theres a feature we can turn on that allows the users CNAM show up if they dont put the participant code in?

Can RingCentral covert existing POTS Fax Lines to be used with RC instead?

I want to be able to gauge how well users are at picking up calls originating from call queues.For instance, let's say John is on the phone 5 out of 8 hours in a day. In those 3 spare hours 20 calls come in that he isn't picking up. Would there be a report or a KPI that would measure this? What I'm trying to find out is which users are being most productive with their time and which ones may be avoiding calls.

There was a post about this from a Canadian customer back in 2018, but I am not sure if it was resolved. We have reached out to support, and went as far a level 2 tech support, albeit I get the feeling the technician could not grasp what my issue is. When we receive a call all we can see is the city of the caller. Once clicking on more information it is we can retrieve the number. This is not acceptable in my books, and after reaching out to support for months with no results I am getting ready to leave this platform. Worst part, the support technician kept using the phrase 'limitations of the CNAM system'. This has nothing to do with CNAM. Has anyone else run into this, and how did you resolve it. Cant answer calls with Avaya Soft Phone with headset. I have to answer with PC.

When i listen to a voicemail message, the system states the callback number as something like 555 billion, 123 million 456 thousand 7. I see no setting that would govern this and it just seems weird that this would ever be the behavior of the system. I opened case number 10634456 and it is now on a hold and i'm not expecting it is getting looked at.

We receive a lot of calls where there is silence on the other end. We have simultaneous ringing set up going to two different numbers, but both of us are seeing this problem.
