RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

When typing into RC and i backwards select a word and type over it the first letter of the word becomes capitalized. I recall this being a bug in Slack a while ago too.

I am a system admin. we are using Phone System - Groups - Other to manage a general voicemail box. For the past two weeks, I have been unable to delete voicemail messages. I get an error message that the request cannot be completed at this time. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix the issue?

We have the ringcentral desktop app for texting. We can not get links to go through. How can this be done? We need the ringcentral app to text back and forth with for Text, Pictures and Bitly Links

We have a Polycom system with 2 separate wired microphones but our people that call in still have issues hearing between people talking and the wired mics picking up keyboard typing etc. Anyone used any other sort of wired system connected to a computer or any other solution for this? Our out of town users enjoyed using zoom calls more but now that most of us are in a single room it has become an issue for those not in attendance at the meetings. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

Only last seven received faxes are accessible. I have always been able to view last 30 days. Not sure why it changed but I need it switched back. Any ideas?

We have a receptionist extension that multiple employees use to monitor text messages sent to our main number. I typically keep that open in the RingCentral app.We also have each employee log into the RingCentral Phone app for their direct extension on their cell phones.This was suggested to us as a way to handle this situation by our account manager when we first set up our RC account.My understanding is that the mobile phone app is being sundowned. Is there a workaround or a different way to approach this?

New Policy?We have an Office Premium account in the USA with a Digital Line (Our 888 number) as well as a 2500 minute toll-free bundle.We have a small business with sales reps in 10 states.We have our toll free 888 number attached to a single user with extension (i.e. 104).Under call handling and forwarding for this user (#104) we have listed the 10 cell phone numbers for the 10 different representatives we have in the different states.We had this set up to Simultaneously ring all 10 phones at once so as to be fair to all representatives. They work off commission. Whoever answers first gets the order and commission. If one rep was on the line the other 9 phones would still ring and the next rep would get the order and so on.I went to make a change to one of the phone numbers in the list of call forwarded numbers, (new rep) and now when I try to save the change, I get an alert telling me that no more than 2 call forwarding numbers can

How can I set on my settings - for me to received FAX messages without me answering the phone. ( on settings 3 rings it will receive the FAX)

Our customer Maria with account number: 14437325867 wants to restore the feature wherein they can listen realtime when ever caller leaves a voicemail.

Our company has a lot of people who are now splitting their time working in the office and remotely. In my mind, one of the basic reasons for a system like RingCentral is that users can receive their calls on any device, no matter where they are. Last week, I found out that call forwarding does not work as expected.Consider the following scenario. Jane works in the office sometimes and other times she works from home. Susan is going to be out of the office and Jane is her backup. Jane happens to be working from home that day and Susan configures her account to forward her calls to Jane.The expected behavior would be that Jane would be able to receive those calls regardless of which device she is using (desk phone or Mobile app). However, it does not work. The forwarded calls ONLY ring to Jane's desk. There is no way to forward another user's calls to another user's mobile app.I spent some time on the phone with Ring Central support trying to configure this and they started

I click on my softphone Icon and it just loads in the taskbar but the soft phone does not appear. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issue. Need this to work. I'm on windows 10.

I have an office which has voice latency problems only right after they have put a caller on hold. The local tech tried this from a few different phones in the office and also tried from home to see if the problem was specific to the office. The problem is replicated at home as well. Is this a known bug? Is there any work around? The site in question only uses about 8Mbps and has 50Mbps of bandwidth and AutoQOS is configured on the Cisco switch. There is NO contention for bandwidth as the users are only using VMWare Horizon virtual desktop. So I am certain this is not an issue of bandwidth startvation.

What is the best way to block any international number from calling into a business?

Created a silent installation for the RingCentral Desktop app V20.2.20.147320.2, but the program launches as soon as it has installed. I looked at the msi with orca, but do not see any type of launch property that I can disable. Has anyone come up with a way to stop this?

Using Glip v 19.05.2 (E. 2.0.14) Build 958. When I receive a message, the red indicator will appear on the taskbar icon. Once read it should go away. It usually did, but now, it will not go away no matter what I do. I have rebooted, checked my groups/users for any pending messages and nothing. It still keeps coming back. Now I can't tell if I have a valid new message or if it is the phantom message. Please help!

Rather than give out the 10 digit phone number can we create a short number (5 digit) for texting?

I am trying to sync past appointments on our Glip calendar with Outlook. I copied the calendar URL and added the calendar to Outlook, but it only shows past appointments from the last 30 days. Is this a glitch, or is there a way to pull in all past appointments?Thanks so much!

New customer and completely turned around with what to do here. Account is U.Ssoftware version UC Software Version 5.6.0.20009Updater Version 5.8.0.24992Phones are Polycom vvx411When a call comes in and we lift the handset, or press speaker phone, it goes to new line and dial tone to allow an outbound call.It does not pick up the incoming call like it is supposed to.There is an option in the action buttons to "pick up" the call. But I need it to just pick up the incoming call when the handset is lifted.This started when we ported our real numbers over.When we first started setting up and testing and had the temporary numbers it worked fine and would pick up calls when handset was lifted.I have researched and the one thing I have found, but cannot find an entry for in the config files (via the phone web interface), is reference to call.autoOffHook.1.enabled="1" - this was referenced from the polycom community in a 2014 post.I have contacted RC support, they say all settings are correct and cannot figure out why it won't pick

Hi, folks! I managed to register a ATA Cisco SPA122 to Ringcentral. However, provided it has two ports for analog phones, I was wondering if it would be possible to have two different Ringcentral extensions (same account) connected into this ATA. My account is for US, Ultimante. Thanks.

I was told by RC support to upgrade our company from RC Phone and RC Meetings to one ap, the new RC App. I asked everyone to change but quickly found out that users cannot transfer their contacts to teh new APP. They cannot even add user manually to the new RC APP? We are a logistics company and tal to truck drivers all day. They are not going to click invite links to be added. Our employee have no way to add numbers to their contacts to quickly dial their contacts. What a mess!!! Now we all have to delete the new app and go back to RC Phone. Makes no sense to me. What is that feature not the same from RC Phone? 1. USA account, over 25 users.

Would like to know how to add Names to the mobile numbers I text in the Ringcentral desktop app

When viewing phone call, text and emails on the desktop app and it displays the number but has contact listed as "unknown" can that be edited there to create a named contact?

Over the last 24 hours I have not been able to receive any inbound calls. My dialpad was not working as well and I had many instances of one way audio. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I still cannot receive inbound calls. I cannot get in contact with anyone from RC phone, does anyone have any solutions before I find a new service provider?
