RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

Hello All,I have RC App deployed on my desktop (PC), hard phone (poly) in the office, mobile phone (iPhone) and mobile (iPad). For the most part, I have no issues. However, I have noticed strange behavior on the mobile (iPad) several times.If a call rings all my devices (i.e. a Queue Call), even if it gets answered by another agent (or myself), the call keeps ringing my mobile (iPad) until I pick it up. I will not time out. It just keeps ringing (even if the call is gone).If a fax comes to my extension, often I may get 1 ring and it moves on to connect to fax. However, even those calls continue to ring on my mobile (iPad). I have waited up to 2-3 minutes and it just keeps ringing.In both call types, it appears that the mobile (iPad) is not made aware of a call termination.Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Has anyone had luck reactivating their SMS after the registration?? The amount of customers who are complaining that they cannot reach us is growing, and I cannot get anyone on the phone to help me out. I submitted the form and a ticket but no word back. All while I am paying for this service!!

Confused on the registration. Is Ring Central charging $40 do facilitate the registration process of registering my SMC? They provided me the attached form to fill out for the registry process. Is this all I need to do? is fill out that form and send it to Ring Central. Also, why can't I just submit the form to the csp.campaignregistry.com or should I use Ring Central because there advantages of using you guys to facilitate this process.

After registering your SMS phone number business name with the registry, Will consumers now have caller id when you text them to see who is calling. For instance if your company name is Billy Bang Shrimp company. Will the customer automatically see that name when receiving a text. I do not want my callers to see the company name because I use one phone to service three of my companies and it would confuse them to get a caller id call form a different company

Hi I currently have a premium Ring central plan. For texting I use the Window Desktop app and get charged only when I go over my monthly limits. 1) I need to know what all the costs are associated with the changes in the text industry and Ring Centrals service fee changes) What are the TCR re-occurring fees?b) Ring Central re-occurring feesc) Text fees. How many texts per month are free under the premium plan. What is the exact cost for over usage.d) Ring Central Brand fees2) Regarding new campaign brand. Will on campaign cover all my different texting message, including back and forth texting to my customers, mass texting to invite customer to join my service list, mass appointment reminders, etc, etc3) My TCR registration is pending. Can I go ahead and create the Campaign brand or do I need to way for my TCR application to get accept

We don't use SMS for anything but texting our store managers if they are having an issue that requires them to call us back for support. We have never texted a customer, and have no mechanism to ever send SMS campaigns. Anything to do with marketing SMS/Email is 100% outsourced third-party for them to send and is managed on their own hosted systems. I'm struggling with understanding how I am supposed to fill out a form that is not applicable to our business and yet keep SMS to our internal employees.

I have been trying to get SMS approval for over a month. I spend 2 hours a day on hold with Ring central. This is truly affecting our business and every time I call I am transferred multiple times to diff people until I am finally hung up on with no call back. This is so disappointing. I just do not understand why someone can not just tell me what the issue is. Feels like I am calling a company that has 4 employees in the Philippines who are very friendly but have no authorization to do anything. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?? Just don't know what to do anymore.

My team and I cannot send texts to clients. There is no option for that on the dekstop app. Also, we cannot see text history of texts sent from the mobile app.Clients also reported to us that they are not receving texts from us even though we have sent them numerous times.We have a dedicated phone number for each team member as well as extensions. Roles have been updated to Super Admin so everyone can send SMS. We have tried uninstalling and them installing but still nothing!This has been happening since we moved to RingCentral last week. This is giving us a headache since we use texts heavily to contact clients. We are losing business over this.

Our SMS is not working and tech support blamed the TCR process. How is that possible since March 31st is the deadline and there is not supposed to be service disruption. I submitted our TCR 30 days ago. Need answers.

Admins needs to have the ability to disable the SMS feature.

Due to each department having different hours our "Business Hours" are set to 24 hours. We utilize IVR's to manage call routing for business hours and after hours. I'm in the process of reworking a few of them and was wondering how is it determined what IVR takes precedence over another? Are there certain key aspects of each IVR that dictate this?

We are using the Windows version of the RingCentral app (version 22.4.34.6382 Windows).On the main call log screen, it shows the Caller's Name that we add on the Contact Card, but it'd be nice if we could also see the Company Name field that is on their contact card.Screenshot 2023-02-22 210315.png

I've been reading through the forum questions and information on the various RingCentral pages and am still somewhat confused. In the TCR business registration checklist, it states the following: You must have consent from customers to receive an SMS before you can register with TCR. Otherwise, your application will be rejected. We are local government, currently using high-volume SMS to remind people of court dates and other information regarding court appearances. It isn't possible for us to identify and obtain consent from individuals who may receive a ticket in the future prior to registering with TCR. Is that information incorrect?I am also not clear on how to register our city numbers. I read in the FAQ's "we require just your main business and support numbers. RingCentral will move all your existing numbers under your new TCR brand ID and SMS campaign." However, on other pages of the website it's indicated that any numbers not registered will lose sms

We have several Azure joined devices that are used by multiple staff members (receptionists) and found that RingCentral phone is installed on each individuals user profile " C:Users**User**AppDataLocalProgramsRingCentral.exe" as opposed to a true installation. The problem is that each time a new user sits at one of these pc's we are having to reinstall the RingCentral phone app. This position has quite a bit of turnover and are constantly going through the install process.Is anyone else running into this issue? If so how did you make is less cumbersome?

I have a client who claims to have left multiple voicemails over the last couple of weeks. I see the missed call in my log but no voicemail (not on the phone app, desktop app and I'm not getting an email). This client has a tendency to ramble in messages and I'm wondering if she's hitting the time limit for messages and for some reason it's not saving? Is there any way to fix this?

We are wanting to expand our ring central service to our additional location. But we don't want or need an IVR menu. I just need one main line to go to a call queue and the other main line to go to another call queue but when enabling Multi-Site service is requires you to use a multi-level IVR menu?

Where is the self-register function located so I can register with TCR? I can't seem to find it.

I do not want RingCentral to launch on startup of my computer. I've removed the shortcut from my startup folder and it keeps reinstalling itself every couple of days. I want this to stop. I've look all through the setting of RC and looked at settings, apps, startup and it's not in there. So why does it keep doing this? Make it stop! I want to turn it on when I need it, and not be on when I don't need it.

Has the self-registration within the admin portal been released? Or should customers fill out registration form instead?

I live in Canada and plan a trip to the USA. Does RingCentral use the cellular function of my cell phone and I will therefore be charged for roaming by my provider?

(apparently by IP proofpoint, which apparently RC contracts to prevent outgoing spam). We had to move a mile away from our previous place of business, but it was in a different town, so we had to switch from DSL to fiber. It meant going from our prior IP address to a temporary one with a modem, to a final IP address when the fiber was connected, but as soon as we had the final IP address we lost all functionality for outgoing e-mails, and e-mail faxing, which is huge. It has been over a week, with multiple futile attempts to reach RC via the bot, two in person calls totally about an hour with no resolution, and follow up e-mails telling me that RC was closing the case; we have sent multiple requests to proofpoint to unblock us, spoken with the people with our ISP and I am at my wit's end. Anyone with any ideas (other than ditching RC, which is looking increasingly likely)

When a user is out of the office and they turn on their DND, can their calls be sent to another extension? (Only while their extension is on Do Not Disturb.)

Hello allcould you tell me, why scheduled meetings in ringcentral Outlook plugin are not running over Teams? I have windows 11.workaround addin rincentral scheduler for OWA outlook has option "teams Meeting" after activated it ringcentral meeting will be automaticlly carried out in teams. However this option not exist in Outlook app. How can I activate it that all ringcentral meetings will be automatically carried out in teams?thanks you in advanceBest regardsArkadius

In the past I've used MacOS automator workflows that receive text from the RingCentral/Glip desktop app. I just created a new one today and was surprised that when I went to use it the entire "Services" menu was missing from the RingCentral menu. I didn't even know it was possible for a Mac application to not have that submenu. Would it be possible to have that added back? Or is there a way of showing it that I'm not finding?For context, a recent Google drive desktop update has made sharing paths with teammates much harder, I was trying to set up an automator workflow to streamline that.

I see Zoom has announced support for Apple M1 processors today. With RC's underlying tech being "powered by Zoom", should we expect a native Apple Silicon macOS desktop app soon? I'd love to enroll in beta program for this if there is such a thing. Thanks!
