How can I have the extra line switched over to a new employee?

If we are currently up and running with the sms feature, should we anticipate losing the feature for a while after submitting the TCR form?

Hello,We recently transitioned to RingCentral from Mitel. We've basically been dealing with two major issues that I'd like to ask the community about.1. With the Polycom VX 250 and 350 phones, we cannot get the extension to display anyone on the phone. Has anyone seen this or been able to find a solution for this?2. The corporate directory on the phone is pretty bad. Searching the phone directory is very difficult for users because of the way you have to hit so many keys to get the letters you're looking for. Does anyone experience this same thing? If so, what did you do for a solution?Thanks in advance,Joey

We are looking for a way to install the Ring Central App onto our Windows 10 PCs so that the installation is installed for not only the original user profile but for all previously existing and all future user profiles on the Windows PC. Is this possible and if so please let us know how we can accomplish this.

Why does extension-to-extension missed calls affect the total number of missed calls?

I see the Polycom OBI 302 on the RC site listed, but wondering if the OBI 300 is also compatible as I only need one line for fax machine.

HI, I work in IT support for a small CRM, and we are testing out RC with our CRM. The issue we are having is that two users, my boss and I, cannot be logged into RC and making calls at the exact same time. Even with separate logins it will only allow one user to be logged in at a time. Can anyone shed light onto why this could be happening?

Are calls sent directly to a user's voicemail considered a missed call in reports?

I get emails from ring central that I have new fax messages coming in, but when I go to view them on the ring central app on my computer I can't view any messages after I July of 2022. Why is this happening and how can I fix this? It's very concerning that I can't view and am potentially missing important fax messages.

Hello,I heard there was an update to ring central in Q4 2022 for background noise reduction for desktop? But I can't seem to find any tutorial on how to enable this, only for mobile.

We utilize texting by texting other business' who agreed to receive text messages from us via a business contract. We are a transportation company who texts drivers if they fail to provide updates on the loads they are handling. If the business doesnt want to receive text/call, we do not do business with them.The issue is understanding how to fill in the TCR as we don't have any Opt in/out messages nor do we qualify for any high volume texting. How do we fill out that portion of the document as we are really handling the approval prior to receiving the phone number. It seems the document is geared towards consumer protection but fails to address any business to business related text messages.

I signed up for the TCP but I cannot wait 10 more days until my text messages work again... any way I can get it done sooner?

Hello - I paid in full and signed up with Ring Central on 12 - 24 - 22, this would be our 4th or 5th round in trying to migrate to RingCentral! While I had high hopes since we had an onboarding call the 12 - 26 - 22 to learn we could text message, we have filled out the form for Cloud Talk, RedOxygen and Open phonen all approved in minutes. We were told the form would be approved in 24 - 72 hours, were now 1 1/2 waiting for texting - we can not use the platform otherwise. Who has actually been approve??

I have clients who follow the “invite” link that I email them, but once set up, they cannot gain access again - the following message occurs, “Access to this account is disabled. Please call support”

I got an email from Ring central and they said like these issues were present in the form: (11) - Incorrect Opt-In/Opt-Out/Help Keywords,(14) - Three (3) Unique Sample SMS are required,(8) - No Call-to Action/Message Flow was selected

I understand that the Linux desktop app is "not official" and therefore doesn't get the same level of support. I ran the binary installer on Kubuntu 22.04. It works amazingly well. Only one catch, I have a very strange bug. About half the time, once a call has ended, I'll hear the RingCentral call ringing sound. This can also happen after I transfer a call from the desktop app to the mobile app.It's not exactly a deal-breaker, but still would be nice to see if the developers can have a look and see if they can fix that bug.

Hello,we have one PC station with this problem. Outlook deactivated the RingCentral AddIn. Backstage -> Options -> AddIns -> Checkbox RingCentral and it will appears again. Every morning. :(

How to add a country to call? For example, I only call Argentina but now I also want to call Bolivia.

From both my desktop and phone RingCentral apps, I am unable to text three in-organization RingCentral numbers (which happen to be my staff's numbers). I can message those numbers, but I just can't text them. I can, however, text other RingCentral numbers in our organization. Can anyone help?

Trying to build a dashboard with RingCentral analytics data that uses vlookup or powerBI to see if my employees are returning calls from customers that left a voicemail on their direct dial. Has anyone ever tried to tackle this gap in RC analytics reports before? Really wish RC could provided a template for this.

How can a customer send themselves to voicemail if they do not want to stay on hold in a queue. ie Customer does not want to keep waiting so rather than hangup they can press keypad combination and be sent to VM. The interrupt promt could explain this BUT what is the keypad combo that allows a customer call coming into send them to VM after waiting a period?

I am unable to find any fax feature on the ringcentral desktop app. Web app includes no phone functions either, but I guess that's normal? The admin portal and help pages make mention to access the fax feature through the drop down menus, or "+" button, but I do not have one. I thought MVP came with that feature.

With our old phone system, we had several Poly Trio 8800's that used as a SIP phone plus had lines for Microsoft Teams (via Skype) and Zoom. Is this possible on Ringcentral?We purchased a Poly Trio 8800 directly from Ringcentral. When we try to go into Settings, Advanced, we aren't seeing most of the options we do on our existing 8800's so there is no ability to provision additional lines. Also, we can't reach the web interface (that's something that you need to turn on under Advanced and that's not a choice on this phone. I chatted with Customer Support online yesterday and they said the phone must be bad and are sending a replacement.In the meantime, I took one of our existing 8800's, assigned it to a Ringcentral extension as an Existing Phone and after it provisioned for Ringcentral, it now acts just like the one we purchased from Ringcentral so I don't think there is anything "wrong" with the one they are replacing.
