Team Chat, Calendar, & Tasks

I use Google Calendar in Chrome on a PC and have added the RingCentral plug-in so I can create meetings directly in the calendar. Recently there was an update, and now all meetings are created with passwords. I am able to connect with no problems, but my attendees get an "incorrect password" message and can't log in. How can I fix this? Thanks for any ideas!

Around 12:30PM ET the desktop RC app stopped showing unread message counts for Direct Messages and Teams. The pop-up still occurs, but if you don't click on it in time, then you don't know in which Direct Message or Team chat to go looking for it and all other missed updates.It's similar to the Oct 13th issues, except today the message are there , but we just don't know new ones arrived or where to look for them.

Most of our customers use other apps for messaging, chat, teams, etc. Is there a way to suppress the RingCentral features in the New Desktop App? The old App was slimmer and simpler, since customers were not using the additional messaging/chat features. The new App is too cluttered.

My teams utilize the team description and some people can see it on the right hand side where you can see all of the members etc. My description is only at the very top of the entire conversation and it causes me to forget to update it.How can I get it pinned to the "details" section of the chat?

This started happening on both RingCentral app and the glip web page. the indicator of the number of messages that are new is missing. All it does is bold the group or name.

The only way I know if I have an unread message right now is by one setting that I'm not fond of, which is the bouncing icon in my dock and this is only if I'm on my computer. If I'm not at my computer and I log back in, the only way I know if I have any unread messages is if I go to the app itself. With most apps, there is a designation or a red icon in the top right corner that lets me know if I have a message waiting. When I'm referring to a message, I'm talking about a message from a teammate in the Slack-like communication portal. Can this be added as I don't like the continuously bouncing icon as it's a distraction. The subtlety of having a red mark letting me know a message is there is much preferred.

In RingCentral, in a call group, under notifications, you can set where voicemail notifications are sent. If you reference a Glip Team email address there, it will post to the team. This is all great, but due to the formatting, it takes a couple of pages for a single post... most of which is dead space. Is there a trick to consolidate this or clean it up?

I cannot log into glip and the only way is to use incognito mode. this bug has been going on for quite a while but I hadn't had time to report it. The error I get in Chrome's web developer tools is:XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://aws01-g01-gsx45.glip.com/socket.io/?presence=&EIO=3&transport=polling&t=LsOxa8G. The value of the 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header in the response must not be the wildcard '*' when the request's credentials mode is 'include'. Origin 'https://app.glip.com' is therefore not allowed access. The credentials mode of requests initiated by the XMLHttpRequest is controlled by the withCredentials attribute.

Any way for the notifications sounds for new messages, texts, etc. to be routed to PC Speakers.  We can set telephone microphone and telephone sound to headsets and telephone RING to Speakers.  But, the message sounds only come through headsets (when using headsets).  It'd be nice to be able to route sounds to different devices for those of us who don't wear headsets all the time.

Hello. I am using RC to teach a virtual class. I would like to set up some sub-chats so that small groups could chat amongst themselves without broadcasting that to the entire group.For example, I have a class of 16 and I want to subdivide them in to 4 groups of 4. Is it possible to create 4 groups for that purpose?Please let me know if you need further clarification.Thanks in advance!!!

Hi, I'm getting a bit disenchanted with this system. I call in to the help desk , they promise to call back and if I'm lucky they call me back a few hours after they tell me they will - is ring central - can somebody tell me about scheduling conferences calls? I explained to the rep i can get it working with gmail but not our corporate exchange account- beginning to doubt my decision to go with ring central

I am fairly certain that I used to be able to do this. I want to be able to hyperlink to a Glip query / search. For example, I want to search all of my team's Glip messages on John Doe and link to that search in a CRM. How do I do this.

Is there someplace that you list the text shortcuts for the various emojis?For example, :point_up: in your text will be replaced with the "finger pointing up" emoji, and :+1: will be replace with the "thumbs up" emoji.Where is a list of these shortcuts? I don't want to have to click and scroll to find the emoji I want - I'd rather just type ":thumbsup:" or something (which used to work in the old client, BTW). We are unable to add guest member (contacts not inside the company) to any team/thread. We're able to do this before Christmas holiday but we can't seem to do this since this morning. We have tried the RingCentral Classic App, the new Unified App and the Mobile Phone App. The add member button is there but it's not doing anything or not doing further actions when being pressed.

Hello,One of my user's has an odd problem. Let's short cut this by saying that I've reproduced the same issue on multiple computers in multiple locations with multiple web browsers. This issue only happens with one user. Others are not affected.Here's what happens:1. Login to app.ringcentral.com2. Click Messages on the left.3. Browser freezes and tab consumes memory until the browser crashes or you force close.I suspect what's happening is that his Messages has a bunch of users that are no longer with the organization. Also, I notice there are two "Law Clerk" users listed on the left. The bottom one is always selected and the browser freezes before I can do anything else. If I stay out of Messages, everything works fine.Here are my questions:1. Is there a way to clear out the profile for the web apps, at least so that the default conversation is not this poten

Can we add the ability to respond to tasks in the new Version of GLIP? This is something our team of over 100 employees needs access to in order for us to switch over. The classic version allows us to do this so im not sure why its not been added to the New Version.Why is this important? Well lets say in a given thread there are 5 tasks created by 5 different users and I go in to ask for more information on a task, If I post it in the same tread it will confuse the users of which tread I am talking about. This feature is ESSENTIAL for our success with the app. Other than this we LOVE the new Glip App.

I have been trying again and again to add our new team member in our group but I am unable to do so. I tried adding another person and she was added but our team member cannot be added. The add members button just stops working. Please help me with this ASAP.

I work with customers some times after "working hours". Is there a quick way to temporary turn off the working hours?

It's my understanding that Calendly and Zoom can work together but I can't find any information on how RC Meeting and Calendly can work together. Knowing that and that RC Meetings uses Zoom as its backend is there a way or has RC set up away so we can allow Clients to use Calendly to set up RC video meetings on their own instead of being forced to manually do it after we receive a request? Lastly, if there are no direct RC/Calendly options is there a way to do it through Zappier or some other software that someone has figured out? Thanks

How do we remove a user in app.ringcentral.com ? On the previous app.glip.com version, it have a menu with some actions but on the new one, there nothing than message, videocall or profile.Thanks.
