We haven't been on RingCentral for that long and am still working my way through a lot of features. It has been decided to record all inbound calls for all extensions in our service department. All of these same extensions also belong to the same Ring Group. Since recording is enabled at the extension level is it necessary at the Ring Group level?Any help/guidance would be appreciated.Thank you,

We make use of your call log API and Send SMS API, as well as WebRTC browser calling. For Call log & Send SMS API we have console app and for WebRTC Browser calling we have Web project. We first established App1 and set up a private app with passwords flow and it worked, but we need to transfer this app into production and we can't figure out how to do it. We don't require a private app, so we make a public one. Because password flow isn't possible in public app, we use a "3-legged OAuth flow authorization code," or " JWT auth flow" but the API isn't called, and an error is returned like . We use your JS for WebRTC browser calling as well, but when I login, the same error appears. Our second issue is that we need to authenticate for WebRTC calling, but we can't use a second app client/Secret Id. Our third worry is how we safeguard client id and secret id, password, and other sensitive information when we use WebRTC login or bypass this, because your entire code is written in JS an

My main office phone is not being used as an extension and could make the VA programmed to this line but worried it might undo the company phone tree and she would show as the main line which might not be the best.

I have a VA who is in the Philippines and I will want her to make phone calls to people in the US where I am located, do you know if this is considered long distance? Will my VA be able to make calls okay or will I be charged more for this?

We have implemented the RingCentral widget to receive calls in our Magento-powered website. For that, when an admin user logs into the website then they must also log into their RingCentral account from the widget or browser. Is there any API for that? So that when any admin user logs in then they are logged in automatically to RingCentral account based on their user credential?

Is there a way to setup phones to call/receive on extensions only? (not call out or receive outside calls) We have some phones in a general area that staff can use to call for assistance from support staff in the building, but Managers don't want them to call outside of the building (other than 911).

I cannot see User Templates in my developer sandbox, is there something that I am missing or do I need to get a case created to request it?I don't have any options to create User Templates. I see that in my production environment that I can create and apply User Templates under the 'Users' menu. I am not following any tutorial or guide, I am going by what I see in my production environment and comparing it with my developer sandbox which does not appear to have that feature.

Zoom has a checkbox on the share screen window to share computer sound. This way when you share a video during a conference, the participants see the video AND HEAR THE AUDIO. RingCentral Video does not have this option. Please include this as part of the video conferencing platform.

Is anyone else currently unable to install bot add-ins in the sandbox environment?It seems like the subscriptions aren't being created during the bot installation process, and hitting the create subscription endpoint returns a 401.

I'm using the API to Get Call Queue Members for all the call queues. However, some of my clients have a lot of call queues (600+), so I'm hitting the request limit, and can't pull them all within a reasonable amount of time. It looks like the API doesn't allow batch requests for Get Call Queue Members.What would you recommend?

Client wants to make it easy to send a page. Either add the page to the Company Directory or Forward an extension to a page extension. Although there is an option to add the Page extension to the Employee Directory, this function does not actually exist. You cannot add a Page extension to the directory (confirmed with RingCentral support).So the second thought is: Can we forward a virtual extension to the page extension? So far I am not seeing a way to do this.Thanks in advance.Zak

Hello so when i try to do a call with the app using WebRTC I get a message that says, "Dial is temporarly unavailable." I do not know how to fix this could you help? Thanks.

Today we switched from our old desk phones to the RingCentral application for incoming and outgoing calls. Outgoing calls works just fine, but nothing is ringing for incoming calls. All our incoming calls are going unanswered. After the call disconnects, we get an alert that we missed a call. All settings are correct for display incoming call (turned on).When I check the status of each user phone, they are all with a red x, and states offline. I did notice one employee had his computer verified and his works fine, but I don't know where to go to verify computer.I have been on hold with customer support for over 2 hours with no answer.

We've just started getting some issues with calls.No ring or alert to a call coming in. You have to be in the app to see the pop up otherwise you won't know there's a call coming in.The red 'Rec' icon has disappeared off the dialer (where you start and stop recording).Each user's status is not updating. Everyone just shows as 'Available' even if they are on a call with someone else.Anyone else experiencing these or similar issues?

How do I turn off Google calls to Ringcentral? They are all Spam calls. If someone calls my mobile or direct it is fine.

We have been using RC (Glip) for a number of years. With the recent UI changes, the team nameheader has a character limit that's too small, and the team description no longer shows in the details pane.Are there any ways to somewhat revert back to the older UI configuration, or restore some of these properties to the way they were? Would any add-ons or custom development assist in achieving this?TIA

I'm finalizing getting my app gallery app moved from an old account and application to a new one and when I try to submit my marketplace application I am getting an error that "The profile name is already taken". I have removed the old marketplace app from the gallery and completely deleted the old production application so the name should be available: Marchex for {{ PARTNER_NAME }} in the field Profile Name is where I am having issues. Thank you for helping me resolve this.
