Is it possible to get a fax confirmation page that shows the first page you sent like most regular machines do? This is helpful for proof of fax and to show exactly what was sent. All I get is an email saying a fax was sent. That's helpful, but doesn't provide much proof to the recipient if they deny they received a certain document.

Ring Central Classic allows you to drag and drop documents when faxing. The new RingCentral app requires you to click the paperclip button and browse to the file location to attach it to the fax.How is it that as time goes by RingCentral gets worse instead of better? The decision to retire the old app was a collosal mistake when it offers reduced functionality compared to the "new" version.I know the canned response because I've seen it on other posts. "If you want to keep using the old app contact your account manager..." Yeah, good luck with that. My account manager won't even return my emails. Last time I needed something I had to contact her manager to get an issue resolved.

I'm told by support that if an incoming call that goes to a call queue and then is answered and forwarded to another user from there, it treats the call as a new call in the call log and strips caller ID and replaces it with the main company number.This seems like the most basic setup a decent size company could have. Someone calls in to an IVR, they push 0 to get to an operator. This sends them to a call queue of available operators to answer. They pick up and act as a receptionist and decide to forward the call to me internally. As soon as they do this, the original caller id is stripped from the call. So on my end it looks like my main company number is calling me. Even if the caller leaves a voicemail, I have no caller ID from them.I'm told by one support rep that this is a feature. I can't believe this doesn't effect more customers. I've dealt with countless phone systems being in IT and this seems crazy to me. Does anyone have any work arounds?

What is the difference between all the different RingCentral desktop/mobile apps? So far i have RingCentral, RingCentral Phone, and RingCentral Meetings. Do we need all 3 in order to access all features of ring central or can one of the apps be used for all? I imagine the 3 apps are somewhat redundant. Can we get an explanation of the three?

Hi @Phong Vu,I currently have a paid RIngCentral account (on Essential plan).I also have a Free RingCentral Developer account to test creating integration with my software using RIngCentral API. With this free developer account, I've been using a given sandbox phone number because I can't use my paid account with free developer account (is this right?).Before I can commit to continue paying for RingCentral, I need to proof the concept of using RingCentral Webhook and see if my integration can receive SMS via the Webhook.Can I try using the Free Developer account with either the given sandbox phone number, or my paid Essential real phone number to test Webhook integration?If yes, what do I need to enable in these accounts? Hi,New to RC.User1 needs a second handset for occasional home-office use. It must have the same inbound number and extension number as User1's existing phone at the main office.I want to re-allocate an existing unused phone from User2 to User1.I am having trouble in the admin portal trying to assign the existing inbound number to the second phone.What am I missing?Thasnks,FT

We are using the Yealink T48S desk phones. When someone starts dialing a number, if there is more than a 2 second delay in finishing the number, the phone auto dials what is already there. The call of course then doesn't go through. Using information found on the internet, I found where I am supposed to be able to increase that time. However, it's not working. Anyone have any thoughts or have dealt with this themselves?

Based on the KB: RingCentral Corporate Directory Feature for Polycom Phones I am having to assume that the LDAP Directory will not work with any devices besides Polycom.Can anyone confirm / deny this?I'm digging deep with yealink to see how to manually add an LDAP to their phones and I'll attach the screenshot of what the GUI gives for options.I'm hoping to find some solution as the client migrated over from 3CX which had a phonebook soft key and now they only have a dir key with no working directory unless it is done manually.

I use Google Calendar in Chrome on a PC and have added the RingCentral plug-in so I can create meetings directly in the calendar. Recently there was an update, and now all meetings are created with passwords. I am able to connect with no problems, but my attendees get an "incorrect password" message and can't log in. How can I fix this? Thanks for any ideas!

I am confused about some of the data being sent back by the API for a detailed call log for extension to extension calls. Here's what I am getting:Extension 100 belongs to Joe, Extension 101 belong to Jane.Joe dials Jane by dialing extension 101. This creates call log data that I'm pulling through the API.The call has four legs. The first three are more or less understandable, but there is an odd anomaly on the final leg.In the final leg, I'm reading the response from the API with leg.from.name and leg.from.extensionnumber. If the call was from Joe at ext 100, you'd expect to see leg.from.extensionnumber have 100 for a value and leg.from.name to have "Joe" for its value.This is NOT what I'm seeing in the final leg of extension to extension calls. What I'm seeing on the final leg is leg.from.extensionnumber at 100, but I'm seeing leg.from.name showing "Jane". Jane does not own extension 10

The issue begins with a person receiving a phone call through a call queue. In the time between when the phone starts ringing and they pickup the call, the caller begins typing an extension. Before the caller finishes dialing the extension, the call is picked up. The call is answered and then gets routed to someone else in the company. However the person who first picked up the call is stuck. In the corner of the RC Phone app and mobile RC Glip app it shows "Switch Call to This Device". However when they click that, nothing happens. In the HUD it shows that person on a call. But they are unable to actually pickup the call and it interferes with other call functions. This happens on both mobile and desktop softphone.This continues even after they quit the app and relaunch. Even after they uninstall and re-install. And even after deactivating their account and re-activating.Per Tier 3 support, this is a known issue

Not entirely sure if this a RC issue or Windows, but when on Windows you have an incoming call, a toast notification pops up, but disappears very quickly, while it's still ringing (so it's not just the other person hanging up). Is there a way to change the length of time the notification pops up for?While I remember, the option to answer/ignore would be good on the notification itself (thinking a la Teams).

Primarily in our office, all users are on desk phones. However a few employees are in and out of the office enough, that they have both a desk phone and a softphone (via the app on their smart phone). That way they can answer on either device, the desk phone when they are in the office and the app when they are out of the office.While this is very convenient it does lead to some frustrations and usability issues. If a call is picked up on the softphone, it shows up as a missed call on the desk phone and visa versa. Also, if an employee is on a call on the softphone, the desk phone doesn't show up as busy and calls still come through on it.Is there any way to link or sync the softphone to the desk phone? Ideally, we want a call to only show up as missed if the employee doesnt pick it up on either device. Also, if an employee is on a call on either device they should be considered busy on all devices. My understanding is that with the RC SMS feature, a user can text a client/customer and it will come from that specific user's direct number.We are a law firm that screens ALL calls coming into our attorney's phones. We want our attorneys to be able to text their clients, but do not want the clients to be able to call that number back. Has anyone solved a similar problem?I was thinking that maybe any inbound call to the attorney's number from out of office could be forwarded to the operator but I am not sure how to do that. Also open to other solutions. Thank you!

We can't integrate our customer/patient database from our Setmore app to Ring Central! Strange there is some kind of integration tools for it, but there is no way to simply take our setmore database and plop it into ring central so we can call and text patients from there!

I am using the python sample code from https://developers.ringcentral.com/guide/messaging/message-store/message-exports-report#python to try and export the message store. Using the exact same code, modified with my sandbox credentials and a later "dateTo", I get the following error. Any suggestions?check task creation status ...
