Starting the past weekend, I kept on seeing ads on Facebook for "Ringcentral Video" and their website has info on it. It appears to be a new and separate product but I haven't heard back from our account rep on how we can begin using it and for more details, namely if this will be completely replacing the zoom version.I was able to locate from some screenshots the site is https://v.ringcentral.com/ and that let me log in, but I have no access to anything about the product in my admin portal.

1. I'm unable to set a custom status (like 'Lunch') and then have it persist or be available to select the next day? Do I have to type it out every day?2. How do I create my own custom status(es) that always show up in the list? I don't plan on using any of the standard statuses.

I recorded a meeting in ringcentral meetings. How do I send that recording to someone who could not attend?

In the RingCentral App, there is a setting under Notifications and Sounds => Email Notifications => Direct Messages => Receive email notifications for direct messages. The setting is enabled, but does not actually send the emails for received/sent direct messages. This function would be extremely beneficial to our firm, as all internal communication must be retained for compliance purposes. We use an email retention service, so the email notifications for direct messaging would allow us to properly retain direct messages, and allow the entire firm to utilize the great direct messaging system in the RingCentral App.

While sharing my screen during an RC meeting, if myself and the attendees have our camera's turned on; I would like to have the camera icons in a fixed position either off to the side or at the top or bottom. Currently, it is just a floating icon that has to be moved around if needing to click on a specific area or my screen.

Will RC be adding the option of going live on Facebook with RC Meetings?We would like to use this platform and do away with Zoom completely, but we are currently using this function on a regular basis.Thanks!

This post is in reference to case #11105155. As of today, RingCentral Meetings appears to no longer allow Chromebook users to enter the meetings. All of our customers using Chromebooks today were not able to access our meeting (which is hosted on PC). On our end, we could see them briefly in the meeting before they disconnected, but on their end they would just see a loading screen and would not see themselves being admitted to the meeting. They would then be disconnected. The same issue was replicated by all of our customers using Chromebooks (about 10 today, and there will be more later in the week who will experience the same issue if this is not fixed). Some of our customers only have Chromebooks and don't have any alternative computer to join with, so if they cannot access the meeting on Chromebooks anymore we don't know what we will do to be able to work with these customers. I recently started seeing this red 'reload' type icon next to names in the Direct Messages list. Any idea what it indicates? You can't click the icon, because it disappears as soon as you hover over it.

I'm running macOS 10.15.6 Catalina. The RingCentral desktop app apparently pulls the user's computer's account name for a screen name in meetings. I'd like to customize that.

I have been working on the IVR API in the sandbox. It was sending the on-call-enter, and had responded to a on-command-update "play" on 9/8/20. But, since 9/12 RC stopped sending the on-call-enter upon a test call! My dashboard doesn't even show any Error API Calls since 9/11. My logs in IIS don't show any attempts, either.

How do I view the entire fax I sent and not just the cover sheet? The only thing that is viewable is the cover sheet in TIF format. Is this nomal. I would like to see all the pages sent.

My app was using the /scim/v2/Users endpoint with no issues and then a few days ago I started receiving errors of the following kind:ringcentral.http.api_exception.ApiException: Internal Server Error. Consult RC Support.This same error occurs if I go to the documentation and click the 'try it now' button, so I believe it is unrelated to my code since it occurs outside of my code.

I could not figure out a way to remove values from extensions contact information using the API.Both Update Extension and Update/Replace User seem to not offer the functionality to remove values, e.g. the mobile phone number.This is a common use case in our company, people having a mobile number migration to VOIP and therefore loose the mobile number. In such a case an automated process should remove the mobile number from the contact information.I tried sending empty value (with " and without), sending null.While everthing that is not a valid number returns a validation error, sending null (which I would have expected to be the right way as specified in JSON) does not send an error, but does not have an effect at all.So how can I remove contact information using the API call?

When I try to resize my RingCentral Meetings desktop app window, the program freezes for several seconds before working again, the video quickly fast-forwarding to the present moment. It seems like a bug and although not crashing the program, still quite annoying. Is anyone else having this problem? Using the latest version of Windows 10.

Ringcentral api explorer is there where we can select the app and start testing all the apis. But what I prefer is testing the apis with postman as it is easier and flexible.While I am testing the apis with postman clients, I was look if there ate any readymade postman collection available which i can simply import and start testing the Ringcentral apis with minimum changes

Our company decided to switch from Microsoft Teams to Ring Central Video. We often send messages internally. When I send a message, I have no way of identifying if my team member has read the message unless they reply. On Microsoft teams, there was an eyeball icon next to the message that confirms to me if the team member read the message I have sent. Is there something I'm missing in the settings or will this be an upcoming feature?

Hello. I am submitting this as a feature request. I would like a way to batch or script install new editions of both the Ring Central Desktop App and Ring Central Meetings.Currently, when you install a new version of either app, they do not overwrite the older versions, but coexist with their older counterparts. This makes installing and updating a pain as one has to go after the older remnant installations.The only way to uninstall RC via command prompt is to find the specific uninstall string in the registry and issue this type of command:.msiexec.exe /uninstall "{119A64E4-511B-49E1-9735-002FEDC282DD}"The issue is that whereas the program is loaded to the local appdata folder, and not the program files folder, the command only hits what ever user is currently signed in. I would like to use SCIM to auto provision new users and assign extension to users based on their locations (city and country). How can I do that and what is the attribute that we can use to have the system assign an extension from the corresponding location?

When sms are send, we can sometimes see the message status as failed or sending failed.How can the api be used to send the same message again when it fails.I don't see any option or parameters in send sms api for resending the message again. How to configure that in the api?
